However, you place me in pretty much any venue, restaurant, hotel, in Flagstaff or any mountain town as wonderful as Flagstaff, it would take a LOT for me to actually say something bad. I have ZERO bad things to say about the Flagstaff Ranch Golf Club. This place is like...ok like, God took a piece of Heaven and placed it right here on earth, in the US, in Flagstaff, AZ. The golf course is probably one of the most beautiful golf courses I've ever seen. Not too many other can compare to this one. While you play, you have the small (man-made) lake/pond thingy (lol) in the center, with the woods in the first background, yes, I said the first background because this place has two backgrounds. The second is the view of the INCREDIBLY BEAUTIFUL San Francisco Peaks. There is this gigantic cliff on the course, off to the side that looks like is traveled over from Sedona, got tired and was like...what a perfect place to land with that amazing view of the Peaks, Haha! My close friend got married here. We've known each other for almost 20 years. We may live far apart and may not talk every day, but the friendship is there and always will be. So when I saw that she and her new hubby chose this place, I couldn't have thought of a more perfect place for those 2 wonderful people to marry. Ok, so, back to the review lol. The actual building looks like your classic mountain lodge type. I wonder if they have rooms people can rent out or like small cabins? Hmmm! Anyway, this place is immaculate!! I have a dream, been a lifelong one to live in the mountains, in a small, but big enough mountain lodge style home. So when I go to a place like this one, I'm like a fat kid in a candy store! Eyes all wide like a deer in the headlights, running around looking at everything the way a chubby kid does when he looks at all the candy he wants but his mom is always like..."hell no! You get one!" Haha! My "one" would be...me having a home that looks like this place, not in size, just appearance haha, and that has KILLER views like this place does! Back to the fat kid, like every fat kid in a candy store, they get sad when they have to leave... I was so sad I had to leave hahaha! So basically, this place is absolutely incredible and I couldn't think of a better place to get married and for Jen to get married. I told her that I would steal her idea if I ever got married....not gonna happen, but I'd love a place like this to get married at :) The staff. They were all incredibly nice people. There was one girl tho, younger one, who was watching the doughnut table. She was a tad intense, not very friendly, almost too militant. Take it down a notch, sis, haha! It's a wedding. We were there to have fun and you should too...or maybe not work big events like that? There was a guy, I believe his name was, Antonio. Talk about one very sweet human. Very friendly, very attentive, he was on top of his work...and did it all with a smile. All other staff I came in contact with (other than militant doughnut girl) were very nice people. The food was fantastic! Not your typical wedding food. The same "do you want chicken or fish?" This was a mix of so many things. Jen is Mexican, so there was a variety of Mexican food and a variety of American type foods. There were chicken sliders and beef sliders, the MOST AMAZING macaroni and cheese lol, waffle fries, salads, I mean, all kinds of things! I loved how they decided to have this vs the regular things you'd eat at a wedding. So, I mean, I loved this wedding, venue, the people who were there...it was a perfect weekend. Only sad thing was...I didn't get enough time in Flagstaff and didn't get enough time with my friend who got married. Everything went so fast. Wouldn't mind another weekend down there to revisit my old stomping grounds (I lived in Flag and I have a very special love for that city) and to spend some time with, Jen :) Ok, as always, I'm sure I'm running out of room per Yelps rules, standards, yada, yada, yada Haha! I use each wedge (50, 54, 60-degree) almost equally in what on a fast day is a 30-40 minute round or a 60-minute one on a slow day. Major negatives are the cost and green/tee conditions. At $20 for nine holes and $5 more for replay for adults (June 2025), I expected somewhat nicer tee boxes and greens. Tee boxes are chewed up and/or produce uneven lies. The greens are not really puttable with bumps and bald spots and fungus, but the course works for practicing nine wedge shots. Overall... Vibe: 5/5 Golf: 3/5 Conditions: 2/5 Fact of Existence: 5/5

I've already reviewed Oakmont as our family is a huge fan of the restaurant and outdoor seating and super kid friendly environment. My family has taken advantage of golf and enjoys that, and I recently checked out the fitness center too... I've found the staff to be friendly, the facility well maintained, the location super convenient, and other members super chatty and fun to engage with as well. We plan to take advantage of the pool, more pickleball, possibly some yoga on the lawn, and likely more food and beverage from Oakmont as well. I'm grateful for this hidden gem for sure!
