I work in the fitness industry and have had a PF membership for when I travel. Each Pf we have been to has its own personality. We were welcomed as soon as we walked in and the energy from the building was great. I was exceptionally impressed with how pleasant and also thorough the employees were. Two different employees helped us but I specifically remember Paige. She went above and beyond for me which is hard to come by these days. Me and my fiancé were pleasantly surprised at our experience here after traveling to so many and experiencing different communities and different culture of each location.

I wanted to scan in with the counter scanner and she said it didn't work... I wondered if it was broken why is it on the counter? Then another staff that just walked up scanned another person using the "broken" scanner... these staff are gross and invasive. Lying to customers the ultimate betrayal and the surveillance is discriminating. Get it together! They also stare at certain guests. They walk around the club and look just a little too long. I have literally only been here three times and won't becoming back, just warning people, if you want to be in an awkward situation and surveilled then go here, if you like feeling safe and relaxed don't come here.

The bad - if you're used to a new, shiny club featuring stainless steel open areas and shiny tile FAC is not it. The buildings were built in the 70s and despite some remodeling at the West club both clubs are dated and somewhat dreary. At times it seems they are not even trying to (shower heads in the east club are mismatched, come on), tile is dingy, and both clubs give a worn out vibe. Some of the gym equipment has seen better days, esp at the east. The good - the staff is very friendly, their classes are varied and a lot of fun, both clubs have both a steam room and sauna plus a jacuzzi, and they always seem to have an ample supply of clean towels. I have been really enjoying my experience at Club Palates. I was nervous at first because of knee…read moreinjuries, but it's actually helping. The studio is beautiful and equipped with so many props. Every class is new and different. All the teachers are very experienced and encouraging. After only six classes, my body feels stronger, and I feel taller. I'm fortunate to be getting such personalized attention, and I'm sure that once the word gets out, the classes will be packed!

I got more after. b) Although I liked the class well enough to be interested in going to more, I'm not willing to sign up for a recurring billing situation, and there is no option as far as I can tell to buy a pack of classes for a limited time or anything--just monthly subscription options for once a week, twice a week, etc. 3) Despite all those calls and texts, going to an intro class, scouring the website, and getting promotional brochures after the intro class, and despite now knowing the fees for *missing* a class, etc, I still do.not.know how much any subscription level actually costs. I don't think there's any subscription in the world I want to sign up for without being able to see the prices in advance. I also would prefer to really try things out without having to commit to a subscription, anyway. The place might work great for people who are less risk-averse or who don't mind high pressure sales tactics without actual pricing, but it's not for me, unfortunately. (Barre3 down the street offers 10-class packs in addition to clearly priced subscriptions, btw.)
