When I looked at the container, I noticed what appeared to be ice crystals--almost like the ice cream had a bit of freezer burn. I mentioned it to the young lady behind the counter, and she explained that it wasn't freezer burn but likely ice from the sides of the freezer. She then added that the flavor isn't very popular, so it tends to sit for a while. Hearing that didn't exactly boost my confidence, so I politely asked if I could have a fresh scoop from the container underneath. She seemed a little hesitant at first but did go ahead and grab one. My daughter ordered a cup of hot chocolate while we were there. Price-wise, it wasn't bad at all--about $8 for both items, which felt pretty reasonable. Unfortunately, the service itself was a bit "meh." The hot chocolate was handed to us with quite a mess around the lid--chocolate on the top and sides--so I had to ask for a clean lid before we left. Another thing I noticed was the checkout process seemed a bit disorganized. Almost every time a customer received their ice cream, the staff would ask, "Wait... did you pay?" It created a slightly awkward moment each time and made the flow feel a bit chaotic. The store itself was decent overall, though the lobby area could have been a little cleaner. Since it was a Friday night, I'm hoping it had just been busy earlier and no one had gotten around to tidying up yet. In the end, our cravings were satisfied, which is always a plus. I was just hoping the overall experience would have been a little smoother.

It was delivered in a timely fashion I have no problem with the delivery. But the pudding reminded me of the stuff that came out a little pool top cans they gave you when we were all little kids and the donut didn't seem to be actually scratch cooked or anything from on site it was like a bag of frozen donuts that you get and then you cook after. We got a chocolate one and then we tried two different types of their banana pudding one was a donut and the other was in a waffle cone. The one in the waffle cone just wasn't worth it at all wound up throwing it and the banana pudding donut away. Would not recommend

Wish I had taken more pictures, and tried some of their specialty items like pudding in a waffle cone or pudding in a doughnut. Flavors that we tried; peach cobbler, banana, apple pie, chocolate explosion, Oreo and I think that's it. Every flavor sparked a discussion about home cooking and summer and our childhood. Favorite flavors at the table were peach cobbler banana and Oreo. Find this food truck and order some Puddin', do it now, do it now.

My stop at this Ingles was equal parts nostalgia and necessity. I happened to be in the Temple area…read moreshowing houses recently and decided to swing through Ingles to pick up a quick lunch instead of hitting the surrounding fast-food joints. Ingles used to be all over when I was kid and at that time was my mom's go to spot for groceries. Sadly, they have been replaced or just faded away in many areas closer to the city, but in the rural area Ingles are still thriving and this location is a great example of that! To start, this Ingles is quite large! It features all the normal grocery store sections plus the specialty sections of pharmacy, deli meats/cheeses, butcher/fish...but this location also has the sandwich bar along with the hot bar plus a wing bar that also has olives, sides, etc...and they even have a nice Starbucks that sits directly in front of the main entry door. Outside of the store they have a small Ingles gas station with competitively priced gas. I will say that while most of these things are also standard in Kroger's, the wing bar had me...that is legit the first self-serve hot wing bar I have come across in a grocery store! A few other things I like about Ingles is their reward program, which again is similar to Kroger. However, one thing they do have that the other chains do not is the $1 aisle, where they have a full aisle of things priced at just $1.00! Outside of everything they offer, I was impressed with how well kept and clean this location was. Additionally, the service was solid as well. I will say that while all the stuff listed above makes it sound absolutely phenomenal, I will say that Ingles prices are slightly higher that I am used to paying at other brands. If I lived in the area, I am sure I would not notice too much, but given a choice I feel Ingles would be a specialty item trip not my everyday grocery spot due to that. Overall, it was great to visit an Ingles and again, I was impressed with this location and if I am ever in this area or any other that features an Ingles, I can see myself popping in.
