This bakery and coffee cafe has SO many options! Cookies, cake, brownies, smoothies, tea, coffee, lattes, etc. We tried the Neiman Marcus Cake, banana pudding cake, and matcha latte w almond milk + sugar free vanilla. That was the best matcha latte I've had in my life - and I'm picky about matcha. It was well balanced with a nice thick froth, perfect ratio of milk to matcha and flavor that wasn't too sweet. The Neiman Marcus cake was good and kind of nostalgic. Banana pudding cake was okay. It was a bit dry and honestly would have been better with a whipped cream frosting (reminiscent of banana pudding) than the traditional. It would have also given in a little more moisture/pudding feel. Atmosphere is laid back. There are a couple of tables and a couch. The decor is cute and somewhat Paris themed. They have the selfie sticks set up on the table, encouraging the content lol. Overall, I'm glad I checked it out! I'll definitely be back to try a few more things. read more

This place is adorable. I love the quaintness and the aesthetics. They have so many options and the creativity is applaudable. I had the Neiman Marcus cake that was simply delicious. I mean it's dense but the inside is gooey and soft. The service is not that great. The older gentleman that works there is not friendly at all which leaves a bad impression but the cake I had was a winner. I went in again to buy the creme brûlée bread pudding (let's see how good that is) and the Neiman Marcus cake for my sister in NY. Yes I'm traveling to NY with it lol. I was so excited to find this little shop on the outskirts of Atlanta. The brownie looked so fudgey and delicious but was dry and not fudgey like I was hoping. The cookies were not as dry and were crispier than I'd prefer. The Oreo flavor and pecan flavor were spot on though. If you know me, you know me and buttercream are too close. We have been dealing with each other for years and it is a hard habit to break. I am a member of WOD facebook group and noticed that a relatively new bakery was nearby. I am vegan 80% of the time and headed to 100%, but when I get those times that I want something sweet and don't want to go all the way to WF in Kennesaw, I have to have my fix. After attending church one Sunday, I treated myself to some sweets. I was surprised by the decor in the bakery. It is so beautiful and to me kind of a European vibe to it. So I stopped by this bakery because I was meeting up with friends later and we were doing a charcuterie board party and I was bringing a dessert board. So you would think perfect place to stop and get some good treats. I went in when they first opened at 11 and there weren't that many items out. There was one other customer inside and the man behind the counter was very nice to her. But was not very nice to me. I ended up asking if they were bringing out any more treats because like I said it was pretty empty and all their cookie basket options and they just had some cakes. And he proceeded to tell me that all it would be later. And I asked well do you know about what time and explain to him that I was making a dessert board. And he was just like he didn't know what time. It is felt very weird that you couldn't tell me when you were going to refill your bakery and you were just very nonchalant about helping me. I ended up buying one package of cookies that had two inside and it was almost 7 dollars. I'm a happy girl... in a sugary, sweet world! I moved to Douglasville when the pandemic first hit last March. With everything going on... a girl needed a freaking cupcake lol. But there weren't any bakeries close by and then this happened. I've been 3 times thus far and two of those times were today lol. I've tried the chocolate frosted cupcake with German chocolate cake and a vanilla sprinkle cupcake. I've had a pecan pie brownie which my husband snuck a bite of and tried to hide the evidence. I've had a frosting filled chocolate chip cookie which I didn't share. He has to learn I don't play about my sweet tooth. Today I had a cream cheese blueberry biscuit with coffee from home for breakfast and sampled the fudge I couldn't pass up after lunch. We stumbled upon this cute little place on our way to somewhere else!!! We were pleasantly surprised to learn that Douglasville had a nice bakery with fresh, homemade goods. My husband fell in love with the pineapple upside down cake. For me, the cakes were a little heavy on the sugar, but that could also be because I gave up eating sugar so anything sweet is amplified!! First, this is one of the Best small batch bakeries that I have been to! It is black-owned, which is a plus. Every time I've visited this place, the desserts never disappointed me. They offer many different selections, from cakes, brownies, cookies, stuffed bars, cobbler, and ice cream. Their cakes, OMG, are so Moist!!! My favorite is the stuffed chocolate chip cookie and don't let me forget those delicious brownies! Amazing!! This is a Must Try!!! Fantastic, quaint boutique bakery with a ton of desserts to choose from! I stopped in and purchased the Creme Brûlée Bread Pudding and Cream Cheese Pound Cake! The pound cake was delish! It was very moist and for $5 you got a nice hunk of cake!! Haven't eaten the bread pudding but it looks amazing. The bakery is decorated like a little Parisian cafe and very clean! Iced & Topped can make you HURT yourself!! The peach cobblers were the initial bait for me. The hint of butter, cinnamon, and other home-hearth-heart evoking flavors were there on every forkful. The crumble was beautiful, and I think I shed a tear or two as I savored it. But what really had me singing was the variety of brownies and lemon-based desserts. The rich, deep chocolate of the brownies, whether with walnuts, pecans, or cream cheese, was like a dream. No box mix was touched in the making of THESE brownies. And the lemon??!! Any other lemon-addicts out here?? The lemon cheese cake topped lemon tart (I'm sure the actual name is shorter & nicer, but you get the idea) managed to be a rich melange of tarty-sweet-flavor bombs with every bite. The bakery is in the JoAnn's shopping center, right off I-20 at Hwy 5 in Douglasville. If you blink coming off the expressway, you'll likely miss it, like I did. Twice. But once you find it, you'll be like a homing pigeon each time you return. NOTE: The bakery has a very Frenchie-continental vibe that'll make you want to grab a seat at one of the bistro style tables for two. Was in the mood for sweet treats but not on the mood for traffic or grocery store baked goods so I did a quick Google search of bakeries near me. Douglasville is pretty limited in everything except fast food so I wasn't all that optimistic. But GAWD... I came across Iced and Topped. This place checked off all the boxes: small, family owned business, not a chain, not too far away and they have 2 of my favorite desserts, almond cake and bread pudding. I jumped in my car faster than tumbleweed in a tornado. The place is in the plaza right across from Joanne Fabrics and is as cute as can be. There was a wide range of goodies from brownies to peach cobbler. It was hard to stay on track and only get the 2 things I came for so I also walked out with peach cobbler, hummingbird cake and a cupcake. The peach cobbler is top notch. It has tons of crust just like I like it. It tastes like the ancestors came back from Glory and made it themselves. The almond cake is moist and almond-y with a thick layer of frosting that isn't too sweet. The bourbon bread pudding is better than I could have ever hoped for. It's in my top 3 and I consider myself a bread pudding connoisseur. I can't even explain. I'm pretty sure a tear just dropped from my eye. Customer service sucks if you get the little short black man that works behind the counter, but the food is delicious, a little pricey, yet, I go in regularly. I love supporting this black owned business. it's a woman who owns the business and she's very pleasant and personable, her revenue would probably triple if she would get rid of the husband behind the counter, let him stay his dry butt home, and go ahead and hire somebody to service the clients. The husband's very nonchalant, dry, boring and he hates to answer any questions. I don't care how happy I am when I walk in after dealing with him I'm always leaving the place on a lower tone scale. The owner must not read the reviews because I can see other people previews and they say the same thing. Based on the way that man acts, I'm not sure he's not trying to secretly destroy her business. Me and my niece went in today, the owner was rude. He acted as though he wasn't interested in our business. My niece complimented the shop and he barely acknowledged the compliment. I bought 3 cakes. They are ok but the words of my 14 year old neice, "This taste like a box cake." She should know because her mother only makes cakes from scratch. I will not go back, I kicked myself for tipping him. Tried this place out because I was in the area. It's like a small quaint bakery boutique lined up with tons of goodies. A great setup of utensil and coffee station. I choose the Italian Cream Cake, Cream Cheese pound cake and S'mores cookies. Ok the taste. 1st -Italian Cream Cake had a great favor. Moist cake, coconuts, pecans and the perfect amount of vanilla. The cake was moist snuggly and most. The best ! However when did ICC was made with buttercream icing?!? Who did this and why? It always has cream cheese icing . Points definitely lost for that. Cream Cheese Pound cake was dry and a lil tough like cornbread. Baby that ain't good. Need wayy more butter. Butter is what makes your pound cake. I almost think they made this with margarine. Dry and thick like a Popeyes biscuit. Yes you need a drink nearby. The cookies were pretty decent. They were cool. But this place needs butter and a better customer experience. read more

When I heard there was a new bakery in town, I was skeptical, since everything in Douglasville seems to be mediocre...at best. But when I stopped in Iced and Topped, I was pleasantly surprised! The brownies, especially the pecan pie brownie, are to die for. The staff is nice, and I like being able to shop at a black owned place. The prices are more than reasonable and I like that if you buy 5 items, you get one free! I discovered this bakery on accident. The bread pudding is good and few other things. However, when the holiday season is here I wish they would plan accordingly. I called for a bread pudding just to find out that the ordering list was closed. As a rewards customer I received no notification that a list was open. I was told they would have additional pans of cakes and pudding on sale on a first come first serve basis. Then shortly after I received an email stating the same thing. Why couldn't I have received and email about the ordering list? After driving across town in evening traffic they were out of whole bread pudding and all I was told was we opened at 8am we'll try to make more tomorrow. This does me no good especially when they close at 12 noon. I guess as a working person I'm shit out of luck. I need them to plan better. I visited this establishment on Saturday 12/02/23. There were a good variety of items to choose from. However, the item I wanted was their chocolate cake with chocolate frosting. There were only two pieces out and they were both end pieces. I don't care for end pieces because of the hard outer edge of the cake. So I asked the gentleman if they had anymore chocolate cake other than the two end pieces. He never said yes or no, he just said "get the mint chocolate or the German chocolate." I told him I wanted the chocolate cake, but I prefer center pieces. He then repeated his first comment about choosing another item. I left it alone and we bought 4 other desserts. When we got home to try them, the cake was not fresh. Out of the two pieces of cake we chose, neither was moist. We also chose two different kinds of brownies. They also were not fresh tasting. All four items had some sort of sticky substance in them that as you pulled them apart or took a piece by fork, they was something that pulled out like a cheese or glaze. It was something I'd never seen before with cake or brownies. We ended up throwing all four items away. I think the desserts there are not freshly baked, so you have a good chance of selecting something that's been sitting for several days. There are no freshness dates on the containers or anything indicating when the desserts were made. Based on my experience, I probably won't be back. I spent around $30. read more

I visited the Bakery today and the place is decorated really nice. I was excited because I was looking for cupcakes. She had a small display of cupcakes already in boxes. All were vanilla cake with different icing (I got strawberry), and I also purchased two cakes (Germain Chocolate & Coconut). I was so disappointed in the cupcake it was hard like it was old (icing and the cupcake). But it was not all bad the cakes are very good. However, I have not counted this place out yet. The cake slices and brownie did not taste fresh. They tasted as if they were a couple of days old. The customer service was wonderful. The owner was super nice.
