    a variety of cakes

Loved this cake class! Everything ran smoothly, started and ended on time. The instructor and her assistant were very welcoming, patient and sweet. The cakes were pre-baked and the icing was mixed and portioned off to the side when we arrived. The step-by-step demo was perfect, and was easy enough to follow along; I definitely feel confident that I'd be able to replicate this look at home after taking this class. The decorations were creative and pretty and they had a bunch of different colors to mix with the base icing which was vanilla. The only reason I didn't give 5-stars was because the cake and icing did taste a bit store bought... I could be wrong but something tasted artificial about it once I finally went to dig in. Overall, I had fun and would recommend giving this place a try if you're looking for a nice way to spend the afternoon with friends. Cake and Sip was a success!

This whole idea and concept was cool but it was not the most professional setting or feel as far as the room and furniture or storage of supplies just being exposed. It was SO SO SO hot and no type of ventilation or circulation of air going on, however, I believe they mentioned it was the building owners that managed the thermostat and had no way of adjusting it. For the cost, it was pretty steep ($70+$5 to upgrade to cream cheese frosting) and all you get is a cake, frosting, and little decor. You have to bring your own bottle/beverage and glasses. They charge $5 if you request for a cup and it's a plastic cup. Overall, the experience was fun and definitely a great idea for a girls night but pretty costly for all it includes.

Cheffany (the owner and instructor) was pleasant, patient, and did an excellent job guiding my unskilled hands.

From the moment I reached out for assistance, it was clear that they had no regard for customer service. Two days after signing a contract and paying a deposit she, was very difficult in trying to make an edit. I probably heard "no refunds", and I never asked for a refund. I was just thinking I could downscale the party but she insisted because she cared more about the money. I never asked for a refund but, instead of a party for 25 people, I was thinking it could be a party of 12 but, the lack of flexibility was lacking. She also did not believe my sister should change her wedding and did not mind adding her judgment which was just unprofessional. The entire process was a complete waste of my time. Her energy was something I did not want in my home so I had to let her keep my $700 deposit and just hire someone else but, I want to warn others. I wanted to give someone a chance and, I got screwed. To make matters worse, everytime I would text she needed to call and then would not listen to suggestions that I wanted I originally wanted a plated meal and, she talked about how she would have to get staff and, that was no problem however I stated she would not need to get staff since I wanted to change to a buffet and she said she was going to get the staff anyway the fact is that she insisted in me paying the original amount and now she got money and did very little and would not try to accommodate me is just so unacceptable and a bad experience when it did not need to be. Overall, my experience with this company was a lesson. Her lack of professionalism, inflexibility, time-wasting tactics, and failure to listen to customers make them a business I would strongly discourage anyone from dealing with. There are plenty of other companies out there that value their customers and provide far superior service.

My friends and I love to spend time together baking whatever, really, and they had some experience working with Sarah on other things - biscuits, breads, etc. So when we found out she had moved to this, we signed up immediately! Signing up had a couple of issues, but luckily Lyn as very responsive via email and we got everything straightened out - kudos to her. The space is set up well, but could use a few things - especially for pie making. A larger fridge, primarily. The little wine-sized fridge just could not keep our pie doughs cold enough for the heat of summer and manage the number of times it was opened and closed as we put things in it. Also, the number of stainless steel tables could not manage the 13 people (it was supposed to be 12) - 8 to 10 really needed to be the max. We were elbow to elbow trying to roll out dough and sharing rolling pins, pastry cutters, etc. Not ideal. Sarah rolled with the punches (pun intended) and we somehow managed to get the pies and galettes knocked out. Baking became the real challenge as the oven space and sizes of pies varied a bit - so luckily we were in the middle of the Curb market, so I shopped for my dinner. Bring your own containers for taking things home - they don't really have anything for you to take stuff out in. By the time my stuff was done, there was not a single bag, sleeve, or anything left for me to put my hot pie into. I'll remember this for next time and bring my own boxes, bags, or whatever based on what I sign up for. Sarah was amazing - she managed the class with ease and explained every step of each process - the whys as well as the whats. I felt as if I understood why my doughs have never worked out and what couple of things I could change in the future to make this process easier. Thanks Sarah for the help in making my pies a future success.

We choose a different city and try to experience regional or city culture while focusing on supporting local businesses. This time we wanted to try a personal/in-home chef. We love flavor, variety and we also have several food aversions. Krishna was amazing at accommodating. Unlike other Chef's, she requested a call with me to select a custom menu to our specific liking. I appreciated this because it spoke to her willingness to create an experience specific to our group. She asked questions that drew out more information about our expectations and how she can maximize the opportunity. Everything was seamless. Dinner & breakfast was ready on time and perfect! The flavors, the presentation and the servings sizes were all perfect. The savory bread pudding, the homemade dressing....delicious!
