Forty-five years experience, working with the best of the best. Nine years in business with this company logo, more than 600 customers and jobs, WHO, would actually believe PCH would have only ONE review? The fact is, that I have been with Yelp on and off since I started this company. I have seen over 100 reviews, every one of them over 4 stars, and only five were posted on my Yelp page, the rest were categorized as not-recommended reviews. All were documented and in the words of the customer, without my influence. If you do a google search of Yelp reviews, reviews of business owners who have used Yelp, you can see for yourself that they indeed take money for preferential review postings, they just call it add-ons, that cost more. I have paid them a lot of money over the years, and the promises were consistently broken. So you are on this page, notice the other business that are also on "my" page. The more you pay, the less competition they put on your page. Extortion of a sort, because now I don't pay them anything, see one review and eight other companies featured on my page. George, the owner of PCH, is just about the best thing that has happened to this homeowner. Being 17 years old, our house was starting to develop some aging problems. First it was little things like a leaking kitchen faucet and some broken cabinet hinges and towel bars that pulled out of the walls. Then it turned into a leaking water heater and clogged septic system. George was able to fix everything that needed to be fixed; he even replaced our water heater (at a much lower cost than our oil company) and septic tank pump. In addition, he hanged a very heavy picture and replaced some front door molding. We've yet to stump him. Whatever we've needed done, he has done-all at-or-below market value. Most important is George's honesty, friendliness and professionalism. We have absolutely no qualms about leaving our key for George if we're not home. Even our 18-year old daughter is comfortable with him being around when she's home alone. I can't think of anyone else I can say that about. Try George. You and your checkbook won't regret it. George Discalla and his co-workers were the nicest and most professional handymen I have ever the opportunity to work with. They are local to Rowayton and I am sure lots of people in town could use their help.
