The items range from candles to jewelry to blankets to hair clips... and it's all great curated pieces. This trip I bought a lovely pair of earrings, an incredible room spray I can't even explain the gorgeous scent of, and a little gift for my friend. Yes, the items are pricey which is simply because they are from local artists, jewelers, creators. But you are supporting LOCAL which I am all about. Say no to big box! :)

From the moment we walked in, I felt like we were being watched the entire time. As a single mom shopping alone with young children, it was incredibly uncomfortable. For context, my children were behaving appropriately. They were not running around the store or touching merchandise. My 5-year-old simply had a pen in his hand while we were shopping. The final straw was when I asked a sales associate if there was an issue with us. She got down to my 5-year-old's level and pretended to punch him. Why would you pretend a punch my five-year-olds to wind him up when you're obviously watching me because you're judging. She appeared to be in a management position, which made the interaction even more upsetting. We still made it to the checkout line, and she continued watching us. At no point did she apologize or acknowledge how uncomfortable the situation had become. I left the earrings and didn't want to purchase. It's frustrating that a children's store could make a parent feel so unwelcome it was actually my two year old that depends. Shopping with kids isn't always easy, but families deserve kindness and understanding--not judgment. I left feeling embarrassed, disappointed, and certain that I will not be returning.

What initially drew me in was the sweater selection. Coming from the Midwest (Chicago), I'm always on the hunt for a unique, well-made sweater, and Remedy absolutely delivered! Browsing the store is effortless--they organize their collections by color, with dedicated blue, pink, yellow, etc. sections, which makes shopping fun, easy and visually satisfying. Beyond apparel, Remedy offers a wide variety of home items, including décor, books, gadgets, ornaments, etc. They even had a selection of LABUBU ornaments figures in every color-- of course, we bought one! He was cold during the transaction, asked for my ID when I handed him my credit card--something I didn't see him request from others--and placed my ID on the counter instead of handing it back to me as I was reaching for it. Additionally, I purchased a ring marked at $12, but he charged me $20. I'm a very non-confrontational person, so I didn't address it at the time, but upon reflecting on the experience, I feel it may have been intentional. The interaction felt like a microaggression and left me with a negative impression of what was otherwise an enjoyable trip to Leavenworth.
