Two nights here in an RV. We were told there was no room in the campground, but only The front field. We had to take it. 60 bucks a night for a non-level, divet filled site, w high grass, just a few feet from a major road, disappointing. Next day I inquired about moving into the campground, and they said yes. The place was half empty. The campground itself is small and beautiful lots of trees, hilly. Peaceful. Restrooms are big and clean. Our friends came here as well in a 25 foot towable and they struggled backing into their spot - obstacles everywhere. These are not pullout spots, and there are trees everywhere. We did fine in our small class b. Would come back, as looney bin and high octane saloon are walkable. read more

Nothing to do at this campground. It is conveniently located near many activities, but that is its only attribute. Dull, small and the staff would not let us move our fire pit which was literally 2 feet from the driveway and car of the campsite next to us. It was the managers campsite. The fellow living there said we could not move it because he didn't want smoke drifting into his area. We asked for a different site, not possible due to the size of our RV. The pool was clean, but not one umbrella was there for shade and all the chairs were plastic and none allowed lay down; All sitting upright. The bathrooms were clean. If you are just looking for a good location to park, this will suite. If you are looking for anything more, look elsewhere. read more

While close to many of the areas activities the campground its self doesn't offer much to be desired. The site they put us in was barely big enough to get the trailer into, we had to move it twice to get enough room to extend the awning and it had a great view of the dumping station. The road noise early in the morning made sleeping past 6am very hard. The sheer number of noisy pipe motorcycles made the whole day noisy on Saturday. The staff seemed ok, but we didn't push any boundaries either. read more

First time visiting Laconia and Lake Winnepesauke and PIne Hollow made us feel very welcome! Kathy was very nice, approachable and encouraged us to let her know if people were breaking quiet time. Campsites are set up a little wonky which is why I gave it a 4, but ours was great. Walking around, some of the sites have fire pits in awkward spots. We tent camped no pop up or trailer which most ppl had while we were there. Love that they had a dish washing station. Bathrooms were clean and showers were clean! We dipped in the pool one evening which was quite refreshing! Wood was a wheelbarrow for $10 which was totally a fare price same with ice for $2. Place was quiet, well patrolled and would visit again! read more

I literally just left this campground. Let me start by saying that this is NOT a Family campground. It should be considered a 55+ campground. They have NO activities going on & no rec room or store, also no playground. The only entertainer for kids is the pool. While there the first night the owner yelled out his window at my 7 year old for taking too long of a shower at the pool because they require you to take a shower. I was right there & saw nothing wrong with his behavior. All three of my kids said the pool had white stuff floating in it & lots of hair. Yuck! The public bathrooms were clean & large, the sites were very small & on top of each other. I definitely wouldn't recommend or return. The only thing this place has going for it is location. read more

For the last several years, my group of friends (all mid-30's) has been doing an annual camping trip and Pine Hollow has been our go-to spot because of it's proximity to Meadowbrook, Weir's Beach, FunSpot, etc. Aside from the occasional dousing of our campfire shortly after 11pm, we've never had any issues and always looked forward to coming back next year. Before going any further, let me first say that the ladies in the office have always been great! Very welcoming and personable. The groundskeeper is a good guy too - does a great job with what he has to work with. The experience that has turned us off from Pine Hollow was with their occasional night security guard, Bob. Like many older New Englanders, Bob is a snow-bird and on the rare occasion that he makes an appearance in Laconia, he occupies his time in the power seat of a golf cart mistreating campground guests while playing gestapo security guard enforcing arbitrary undocumented rules. We checked into our sites early Thursday afternoon, got camp set up and relaxed while the rest of our group arrived. One of the guys got a late start, and when he arrived, good ol' Bob denied him entry into the campground. To be fair, it was 11:30pm - that's late. Bob's justification was that it was too late to be making noise setting up a tent. We explained that there was room for him on one of the tents that was already up. Bob then shifted his justification to not knowing us followed by repeated affirmations that check-in hours were over. I calmly explained that we had checked into our sites earlier in the day and this guy was accounted for in the fees we had paid for the sites we rented. Bob wasn't interested in a rational discussion so he "graciously" offered us the option of setting up a tent in the front field next to the road and if that wasn't acceptable, we could all get the hell out. His language took a steep nose dive after that. Logic and reason didn't enter into Big Bad Bob's argument, nor did he respond to the same. The whole conversation devolved quickly into a string of expletives and threats of calling the police by, what I can only surmise, is a very unhappy person. Pity. In any event, we set the tent up in the field and our buddy managed for the night despite the traffic on the adjacent road. He got situated in our sites the following day, but the experience set a pretty sour tone for the rest of the weekend. Upon checkout, I spoke with the lady in the office and described the late-night conversation with Bobby Boy. I let her know that we were less irritated by the new arbitrary policy than how we were treated by her power-hungry security guard. She apologized and informed me that our new friend Bobbo wasn't just campground security, he's also the owner. As I said, we've been guests at Pine Hollow Campground for years and have never had any issues. The facilities are adequate, but the location is great. I expect following this review we won't be welcome back, but to be honest, I'd rather find a new campground than fund Buckaroo Bob's retirement by renting sites in his campground. read more

I would give this place 5 stars because the campground itself is really great and the bathrooms are meticulously clean; the maintenance staff is very helpful as well; however, the one girl Michele in the office is rude and not helpful at all. When we first arrived to the campgrounds, we asked Michele if there was a grocery store nearby. She said there was a store called Shaw's but when we asked her for directions, her response was to Google it. You could clearly tell she did not want to be bothered by anyone. Then later on we heard her screaming at fellow campers telling them that if their fire wasn't out at 11:00 p.m. she was going to kick them out! It was 7:45 pm and they were just starting it. There were two women in the office and one named Teresa is awesome, super friendly and she actually went out of her way to give us directions to restaurants, etc. Night and Day experiences with these two women. Michele is not nice and should not be working with the public as she is wound way too tight. The whole time we were there, all she did was yell at campers like they were children. We could hear her up at the office every time she was there. If you do decide to stay here, avoid Michele like the black plague and bring ear plugs. Your welcome! read more

took my girlfriend and her son to pine hollow for soul fest 2019, arrived friday night seemed like every other camp ground, but come saturday morning we woke up to the sounds of an air compressor and air tools running, some guy at one of the seasonal sites was working on an old ambulance on his site, was constantly allowing it to idle the whole area stunk of diesel, then in the afternoon another guy pulls into the site next to ours in red pick up with no bed on it and the hood went up on that one, there was a constant flow of visitors stayed for a few minutes and left . It wouldn't help to complain to management as it seemed to be a hang out for the employees, I'v been to hundreds of campgrounds but never one like this one, thought I was renting a tent site at pine hollow camp ground not pine hollow truck repair and drive thru pharmacy. this place is out of control. read more

This was the worst campground I have ever been too. The pool was green and wasn't even open when it was supposed to be. Also the camp sites are pretty close together and small. Lastly, there was only one other person tenting at all so it felt creepy and abanded. FYI I didn't want to even give them one star. Very disappointed read more

Great location. Close to fun activities for families. This campground is small. There are no planned activities but there is a pool and a small game room. The tent sites are rather small, and very close together. However... Mine was very well-maintained and they all contain a picnic table and fire ring. I did pay them $10 for firewood when I arrived, but it was wet and difficult to burn. They also sell small bags of ice for $2. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. The showers are also nice and well maintained. The only issue I really had was that I enjoy staying up late and talking with friends by the fire but there is a strictly enforced quiet time and fires must be out by 11 PM. We were greeted by a very friendly women when we arrived and checked in, however, a very rude and grumpy man arrived at our site promptly at 11:05 each night and actually yelled at us to put the fire out and be quiet. I found his rudeness upsetting and unnecessary as we were simply chatting at normal speaking levels. All in all it was a decent place to stay for a few nights especially due to its convenient location to the area activities. read more

The grounds here are nice and it is close to everything. My issue here is with Management and the fact that they double charged me and refuse to refund the duplicate amount. I planned a family camping trip here and paid $270 as a deposit for 6 sites and expected to pay $438 the day i arrived for the second night and for the add ons. They charged me $486 on 2 different cards because they told me that the fist card had not gone through. They then called me into the office to issue the $48 credit for the overage and I thought it was very honest of them to do that. When I got home and discovered that both cards had gone through for $486 and called them. They told me they did not charge me twice and that I would have to take it up with the credit card company. Funny so where did the extra $486 go?? They claim to have gone through all of their paperwork and there is no record of them receiving that money. I doubt that. I am now in the process of working with the credit card company to get my money back. A lot of work for me considering I brought them almost $1,000 in business in 2 days... We would have stayed here again had it not been for this but I believe a company should be run with morals... you don't try to cheat your customers out of money. read more

Great facility. Horrible management. When we arrived at Pine Hollow Campground, we were greeted by a grumpy man. The first thing he said to us was, "Quiet hours are at 11:00. I've been doing this for 20 years and I'm tired so I don't deal with it. I just call the cops and have them take you out of here." I was in shock that this was how we were greeted upon checking into the campground. That night, we purchased the fire starter from the camp store. When lighting our fire, the man on the golf cart came to our site and told us our fire was too high. He came back four times before 11:00PM to tell us to be quiet even though it was not quiet hours yet. He continuously badmouthed the owners of the campground calling them d*****bags and a**holes. The rules said fires out at 11:00PM. At about 11:03PM, the same man came by our campsite with a bucket of water and dumped it on the two logs that were burning. This made our camper fill with smoke/steam. The pool was small and I did not go in it. The bathrooms were spacious, new, and clean. The campground is conveniently located. read more

Visited this campground over labor day weekend with families consisting of adults and children. The sites were really small, and quiet hour is VERY early. No adult time after the children go to sleep if that is what you are looking for. Was very disappointed with paying money to stay and having the fire put out by a bucket of water at 11pm exactly. Hard to find good places to relax and sit by the fire anymore but this place was just rediculous. I highly recommend going somewhere else if you are looking to stay up and enjoy time by a fire. read more
