We went to pine lake water park today! It was pretty crowded but there's a lot to do and everyone honestly that I spoke to was nice and pleasant. I will say like others have on here if you have small children or children / people at all that can't swim, keep a close eye on them, you cannot see under the water. With that said, I was impressed at how many life guards and employees I saw looking over everyone and keeping an eye out. So good job! There is alot to do, multiple slides for all ages, zip line, splash pad etc. really nice little spot

Really neat place with a lot to do for various ages and swimming. Unfortunately seemed very run down, old, and dirty.

Not sure why we hadn't tried this place out sooner, other than the fact that the past few summers…read morehave had TERRIBLE weekend weather, and this place (along with other similar venues) has truly suffered. It was so nice this weekend, and we live soooooooo close, that the 'Gods of Chlorine' finally lured us over there, and we were not disappointed (except when the crowds finally thinned, but it was "everyone out of the pool" @ 6:45 for a 7pm closing...)!!! Not half bad, when your only "complaint" is you wish they could stay open later...!! There's something for everyone here, from "diaper dippers" upward to Seniors (I think there's a pretty good "aqua fitness" class offering mornings; check their website: http://ntprdsplashzone.phantomgolf.com/. I wish they had more evening hours, and stayed open past mid-late August (unbelievable that most pools close here in Ohioooooo WELL before Labor Day, aka The HOTTEST PART OF THE SUMMER...!!) but I guess there's a lifeguard shortage once kids go back to school. This is a well run, well maintained gem in Springfield's dented/tarnished crown. Get there while it's HOT!!!

There are three slides, a short lazy river, kids play area, diving board and a lap pool. Something for everybody. There's plenty of space to spread out a blanket. Many lounge chairs are provided but it can be hard to get one if it's busy. Visitors may also bring their own chairs. Admission for adults is seven dollars. This place has a lot of rules and it was confusing as a first time visitor. Listen carefully to the announcements. I wish the regular pool area was larger, there's not a ton of room to move around. It would be nice if there was more landscaping too. The grass is beautiful, but more trees and plants would be great. I added a star because of the '80s music they were playing. No other form of music is more appropriate for summertime pool activities. Lots of fun.

We got together with a large group of friends to enjoy an afternoon at the water park. Since we…read morewere a group of 10, we qualified for a pass that got us in for $5.50/person. My toddler granddaughters, aged 1 and 2, were free. I was really impressed when we were handed one sample sized bottle of zinc oxide sunscreen per person at the gate. I was even more impressed when I passed thru the gates and saw the sunscreen station that was set up for all guests to reapply, as needed. Great idea and fantastic perk. I'm a serious germ phobe and locker rooms at public pools and water parks typically give me serious anxiety. But I have to say, the womens locker room was very well kept and there was absolutely no standing water, anywhere. I was even more grateful for the cleanliness since I had 2 toddler in tow. There was plenty of room for me to lay a towel down over the double row of benches to diaper and dress my little ones without being a space hog and getting in others way. Everyone in our large group really enjoyed the lazy river. It's a nice size, with a section that you can choose to either take a path under sprinklers or avoid it all together. There seemed to be a few places where you could get in and out, but most of us just used the main entrance/exit. I didn't get to try out the slides, since I had 2 toddlers with me. But my teenager obviously enjoyed them and rode the slides with his buddies for most of our visit. When he tired of slides and the lazy river, he got himself a burger from the snack stand and said it was good. If I were to complain about anything, it would be a few issues with the "kiddie" area. First, there is not one single spot in the play gym that you can stand without being sprayed with water. It kept my granddaughters and I from getting in it more than once. It's impossible to see where you're even going and not enjoyable, at all. My granddaughters both panicked when I walked them thru it. I noticed during our entire visit that not many children really played on it, mostly around it. The side of the pool with the walk-in entrance is also lined with orange cones that are mega toddler attractors...which makes the marching lifeguard constantly scold them to stop, no matter how much their parents are clearly trying to deter them. The parents of the other children that my granddaughters made friends with also stopped even trying to get their children to leave them alone because the lifeguards clearly were going to continue to bark at them to stop playing with them, no matter how much their caregivers were clearly trying to get them to leave them alone. The area to the side that's set up more for toddlers was pretty cool. It's a neat cause/effect dam type system. If we ever go back, I would bring some toys for the kids to play with in it.

Kiosk to order food with a card really what a ridiculous mess and longer wait lines that will cause while the staff just stands around and talks.. was told 30 minutes to get pizza you open at 11:00 pizza should be ready at 11:00. no clocks, no music and only 1 bottle of sunscreen . So many changes that I am sure only benefits your bottom line! So disappointed!! This has been my favorite place for years. I no longer have a desire to return! Do better Freedom Springs!

The weather was going to be absolutely beautiful so we thought they would enjoy this. It is a weekday booking so I reserved a cabana online. The cost was $90 for 11 AM to 7 PM which is pretty pricey. I live in Phoenix, Arizona and full hotel resorts charge a simlar price. The price of the cabana does not include an entrance fee either, so you'd need to be a member for this pricing to make a whole lot of sense on a regular basis. I did look up the pricing online for the day pass entry and what was posted at the entrance gate was almost twice what was posted on line. We paid $57 entrance fee for our two grandchildren aged six and nine, grandpa is over 65 so he got a discount and I had to pay full adult price. That makes the cost of entry for a water park at almost $150. Anyway, with all of that aside, we did end up having a wonderful day and we were there about six hours. The kitty pool does not seem to be heated. It was very cold, but it is very shallow so I'm sure there is a reason behind that. We spent most of our time in the large activity pool that has a spot where my granddaughter could practice swimming, as well as a deep end where my older granddaughter could play. there is a water structure in here with a slide and buckets that dump on the kids. My older granddaughter enjoyed the variety of water slides. Neither of them were old enough to be able to handle the flow Rider. The lazy river ride was also nice. The lifeguards were extremely attentive and ensuring everyone was safe. And we were there from 10 AM to 4 PM and we only counted one 15 minute break where they emptied the activity pool. We did not partake in the concessions. We do appreciate the fact that Carmel allows you to bring in your own food. With the plethora of dietary issues, this was really appreciated. We did purchase snowcones, eventually as they were out out of ice by 2 PM, but they did end up getting refills. Our cabana had a wicker couch and four chairs, no cushions on anything. We had a working refrigerator and a power outlet as well as a Safe and two shelves we could store items. We did put two loungers in front of our cabana that we shared and used to dry our towels Staff was super friendly and helpful There are some shaded areas that are in the grass. If you do not rent a cabana, you may be able to nab a spot here. It appears you are able to also eat your own food in the grassy area or at the concession stand if you don't have a cabana. I did not see many shaded seats on the concrete around the pools. There were a couple of large structure umbrellas, but for the most part, you are in the sun. For a Monday, it wasn't busy in the morning but by afternoon time it was pretty packed. I did see a lot of vacant cabanas though so that would be an option. If you wanted to ensure you had a place to sit it's just pricey.

Not only does the center have a great pool but also 2 water slides, diving board, a splash area, and water rock climbing wall. There are plenty of lounge chairs and umbrellas if you want to read or take a cat nap while there. There is a picnic area and also a small playground and sand volleyball if that tickles your fancy. The bathrooms were spotless and had showers and changing areas. Due to the event being private we had catered food but there is a concession stand to buy snacks and food while at the center if need be. Maybe going during the middle of the week when people are at work helped. My kids loved the big pool area with all the fun tools and toys. They also likes the slide, but I would suggest they have a lifeguard who is comfort with kids and telling them to get in line be there because the poor kid who was there was not at all. I thought the price was good for non-residents. A little high, but I get it. I liked that they didn't care about you bringing food in and had plenty of grass, shaded spots to sit with my kids.
