Friendly service, very clean rooms. Good place to stay when you aren't prepared to camp up here in the great outdoors.

The only issue I had was there were some folks that were staying in the cabins getting plastered (it was noon on a Friday, no judgement but there was kids) and being completely inappropriate and creepy. I wish the staff would have addressed the issue. They were loud, obnoxious and playing distasteful music for a family atmosphere. Nothing to complain about the pricing or the pools themselves. I wish they would fix the netting in the covered area, and maybe have more changing rooms with showers.

There were towels left lying around, chairs and cushions tipped over, float toys scattered in the pool, and overflowing garbage cans. Overall, the area looked dirty and neglected. When I arrived at the lodge, I couldn't find a single employee to help me. After locating my room, I couldn't find the light switch and had to use the flashlight on my cell phone just to get inside. Once I got in, I discovered the room light was burned out. The hallway light was also out, forcing me to use my phone flashlight whenever I walked through the hall. Throughout my stay, I tried to find staff to report these issues, but no one was available. The lack of cleanliness, maintenance, and customer service made for a very frustrating experience. Unfortunately, I cannot recommend staying here based on my experience.

However, I was very surprised when we started unpacking and found there were very few outlets in the room; FOUR to be precise and two of those were at the desk area, one of which was occupied by the clock radio. One side of the bed had NO outlets. Period. In this day and age with cell phones, tablets, iWatches, CPAP machines it is IMPERATIVE that there be an abundance of outlets. We both wear CPAP at night and that isn't an option. So I headed out to the desk to see if they could supply me with an extension cord. Fortunately they had ONE. That was it. Otherwise I was told "there's a Super Walmart down the road". Anyway, we're all set up for the night. And the room IS clean. There isn't a lot here in Mountain Home as far as hotels and they are all on the spendy side seeing as this isn't a resort. $150 a night is the most we've spent on our return trip and this is nearly 2x what I paid for a room last night and it HAD outlets at the bedside. Did I mention it was clean? At least it had that going for it. And it's right next door to The Wingery, a great restaurant!

The lobby is closed at night and does not open until 8am. The room smelled of old mildew or simple age, not appealing. I mistakenly woke and walked without slides on, when I stepped in the shower my feet left filthy prints on the bottom of the tub, gross. The location is amazing!! With food, coffee, shopping and grocery very close, within a short walk makes the above negatives some what more tolerable. :/

The room was clean, linens spotless and the carpet had a few small stains but it is expected from an older property. The room has fresh paint, pretty granite countertop sink but the room is older and if you look closely you'll see that in the details. Regardless of this the property is well maintained and no doubt the ownership is doing a nice job of making maintenance. Shower head is nice and clean towels. Like the liquid hand and shower soaps, they all smell excellent. Parking was no issue, which is a + from a property in downtown. One drawback, the 3 story property allows for you to hear anyone walking above you. We were on the second floor and could hear the little ones running on the 3rd floor. Location? We walked to restaurants, coffee, shopping, and a car show all in downtown. Tamaracks location is so good, we liked that a lot.

Accommodations include cabins, yurts, meadow camping and spaces for RVs. Prices are different for each and are fair. We stayed over two nights (RV space and cabin) over the Labor Day weekend/week and had a nice time! The grounds were clean and quiet even during a busy time. All the RV spaces seemed suitable and were nicely sized with full hook ups available. The night we stayed in a cabin (cabin 3), we found it to be comfortable and clean, with three beds (two queens and a full bed jn the loft - you must climb a small ladder to go up there), a full bathroom with shower, a wood burning stove for heat, and some seating. There were a couple power outlets available. Electricity is available from 7am-10pm. On site there is a restaurant which has surprisingly excellent food for breakfast, lunch and dinner. We enjoyed such things as a breakfast burrito, breakfast sandwich, a burger and a reuben sandwich. Sodas, waters, beer and wine are available. They have fantastic milkshakes as well (try the Huckleberry!). Prices were good and service as well. There is a geothermal pool on site as well (rules apply and a waiver) which we enjoyed. Jesse (the manager) was awesome, friendly and informative (especially about news/updated with regard to our backpacking trip) and all staff/crew was great as well.
