The lady who took our order was great very attentive. The food on the other was horrible we ordered 2 pan con bistec it took 20 minutes to get our food which is fine because it's within the normal prep/cook time but when we got it, the steak was cold the bread was old and tasted as such. Yesterday we went to eat desserts and coffee. The desserts that were in the front the all were old and they sold it to us. You cannot even take a slice either the spoon. I told the sale person and she told me that once they put them in the refrigerator is like that. She offered me one from the back. My husband ate the other one that he ordered and it was so bad that he spend the night vomiting and with diarrhea. I was in charge of brining dessert for Thanksgiving dinner. Pinecrest Bakery is not far from where I live and heard some good things about this bakery, so why not check them out. Came in and looked at their dessert case with a bunch of pies, cakes and other pastries. All looked good and it was a tough decision. I decided to get a traditional pumpkin pie and a coconut pie. Pumpkin Pie was ok, wasn't that moist and didn't have a very strong pumpkin flavor, like I said, it was just ok. Coconut Pie was better in my book, good coconut flavor, sticky, nice coconut flakes in the filling, I would consider getting this pie again. Even after a few days of eating Thanksgiving leftovers, pumpkin pie was still just ok and coconut pie was better. Prices were about $12+ for each pie which I expected. Staff was friendly helping you decide, confirm which pie you wanted, boxed it up and rang you up to get you going. The owners of this establishment have turned this warehouse-like location into a beautifully decorated bakery plus restaurant with massively elegant chandeliers that add a sort of bougie-ness to the place. I do believe that this restaurant provides live music on the weekends too. Service - the staff was wonderfully polite, attentive & accommodating. Food - Bakery: I didn't try the pastries but they all looked decadent & delicious. But, I did try the Cuban cuisine. Ordered: *Vaca Frita - The beef was tender but very salty to the palate. Tostones were fried to perfection. Black beans were very bland and watery. *Fettuccini Alfredo w: chicken - Incredibly watery & average tasting. *Pork chunks - Tender, tasty & very well cooked. The congri was a bit salty & beans were on the hard side. Overall, the food was below average at best. The server told us that the regular cook was not in; but in my mind, a hit-miss eating outing is not acceptable especially at a recently opened establishment. If I could give it a negative I would. I ordered a cafe con leche dark and they gave me one that had way more milk than cafe. I went back and told the lady I had ordered a very dark cafe con leche so her answer was that I had to buy a colada to make it darker. This place is not what it used to be. read more

Another business ripping people off by charging additional hidden "Service Fees" or additional "credit card fees" for no reason. Prices are already high and food is subpar. Not reasonable to have different prices for different customers. Dined at the Guayaba Restaurant within the Pinecrest Bakery. Thoroughly enjoyed some things but didn't love everything. I ordered the carne asada with rice & beans and plátanos maduros. Everything was delicious except the rice. The rice was probably old - hard & definitely did not match the flavor and quality of the rest of the food. The cortadito was also pretty bitter. I tried a bite of their churrasco and their sweet potatoes and they were super good! The place is relatively new, they are hoping of doing night time events in the future & the place is super spacious & beautifully decorated. The service is also super attentive & friendly! Honestly would expect this from a place like this, but didn't think it would happen. We arrive to pick up a party order because we wanted to try them. We also wanted to place an order for some breakfast while picking up. We walk in and grab a number, wait 3 minutes until they call the next number which was us and the following. They greet us, then notice the second person is a regular maybe or someone they know. And they proceed to ignore us while they help the next person for the next 5 minutes. That's unacceptable and nobody should have to deal with this. Don't come here. We won't be. The food is like every Latin bakery. So go somewhere else for better service. read more

My order was beyond greasy and the food was cold as well as the cafe con leche. The cafe con leche also came without a tape to to seal it. I have a problem with my order and how it comes in as the UberEats Drivers can do anything to the order. The cups should have a tape to seal it and the bag with food should at least be stabled and in a paper bag instead of a regular plastic bag. I have called the location a few times and no one is picking up the phone nor does it give you an option to leave a message for the manager. I will be going during my lunch break in person to handle this and get my money back for the food I can't consume because of the amount of grease it has. read more

I haven't had issues like this with other pinecrest bakery. I went there to a pan con bistec who can messed that up? I found a person who can mess up a pan con bistec (steak sandwich). Steak no flavor, lettuce was cooked over steak no mayo no mustard no ketchup. If it wasn't for the cooked lettuce the tomatoes and onion, it would have been a dry sandwich. Today I was in Doral and went to the 58th street location, there was I line so I got in it. When I reached the front the lady asked for my number which she hadn't asked anyone else before me. Upon walking in, I waited for 10 min to be attended. The employees were very rude, non attentive, and preferred to talk with each other about drama and laugh, rather than attend anyone. There were 5 people walking around talking and laughing, while one was working the cashier. Multiple people walked out before me. Friday 3/10/23 went in the morning and ordered a sandwich with cuban bread ham, cheese and Mayo only not heated. When I arrived to the office and opened the sandwich to my surprise only had mayonnaise on it. When I left the office I passed by to get a refund was about 6 pm a blonde cashier was there and said to me she couldn't help me because the morning shift was gone and I needed to return the following morning. I said to please call the manager that I live in down town miami and was not going to return the following morning. She went to talk to manager who never bother to come and in a very rude way the cashier told me that was not her fault and gave me the $5.00 very un politely. She has to get better training in customer services she could have come with a better way to approached offer me an alternative fix the error by offering making the sandwich again.
