When walking in, the bakery is a little tight. Not much space and no seating area. I love that you're able to see all the pastries that they have, and the coffee or matcha being made. I got the pistachio croissant, regular croissant and iced matcha latte with vanilla. The croissants I feel like could've been better, the matcha was pretty good. On this visit, I tried their Golfeado, Guava & Cream Cheese Croissant, Pan Dulce, and an Iced Latte. The croissant was perfect, and the guava filling was fresh. This was my first time trying Golfeado, and it was interesting in a good way. The pan dulce was good, but not the best Venezuelan one I've had. Overall, Caracas Bakery was great. For those who are not familiar with it, it is very similar to a Cinnamon roll but mixes the savory by including Venezuelan cheese as a topping (queso de mano + anise (anís). Also, service it's a little bit slow, clearly they need more staff to serve all visitors, but I recognize that the team over there did their best to satisfy our demands. It is not a sit down bakery. The one in mid town is. The baked goods here were soooo good. Freshly baked . The baked goods are so unique and taste like a grandma made them. Well, I approached this place specifically after it had been recommended as one of the few that had good golfiados. So far, every other place I have visited in South Florida that claims to have golfiados has been a bust, so when I gave Caracas Bakery a chance, my expectations were already low. I ordered four with cheese to go. They looked spectacular... and at $8+ each, they'd better be. Unfortunately, no. The cheese was perfect, but the golfiado itself was far from it. The texture is much closer to right than any other I've had around here, and the overall taste it not bad, but there's a smell, which can only be described as "fish-like" that really spoiled the experience and kind of contributed to an aftertaste that I didn't enjoy at all. Considering the low bar previously established by other places I've ordered them, yes, these are, so far, the best golfiados I've had in years, which do not make them good at all, I'm sad to say. That said, I am willing to give this bakery another chance on a different product. Excited this bakery opened in the MiMo area. I popped in for a late lunch on a Thursday. They have an assortment of pasteries and quiches. I went with a ham and cheese croissant $6 and a latte $5. My first ever Cachito!!!! Wooo! I got mine with ham and cheese and it's a great snack for $3.95. I really liked the taste of the ham with the melted cheese. I also tried an almond croissant for $4.50. A little pricey, but it was dang delicious. I have no idea what all is inside of the croissant, but it's super yummy. There's no where to sit inside the bakery, and parking sucks, but the bakery does have excellent food! English isn't great here, but we figured it out. I never find myself in Doral, but when I do, I try to stop at Caracas Bakery. Be warned that the first time I came here the parking was an absolute NIGHTMARE. The bakery is located in a small shopping center where "must not know how to drive" is a requirement for entry. We ended up parking a street down and walking just to avoid the hassle. I can say that this second time around (despite it being a Saturday afternoon), was a lot more manageable. Now, onto the treats. I don't really remember what I got the first time, so this is detailing my second visit. I went with the ham and cheese cahcito, nutella cruffin & guava + cheese danish. All are incredibly filled. For example, I've had measly cruffins with a dollop of filling, but this nutella cruffin was packed to the brim. You definitely get flavor in every bite of their pastries. The store is pretty tiny, but there was thankfully no one there either time, so I was in and out. The only reason I gave 4 stars is because I always get a weird vibe from the people that are front of house. It seems like they don't wanna be there. You ask questions and they give basic answers.
