My first experience in a bed and breakfast and it was everything I hoped for and more! Welcoming, clean, cozy, and the food was amazing!

Perfection from beginning to the end of our 3 night stay! This B and B is totally upgraded yet charming and full of old fashioned details. We had the small queen bedroom upstairs which was big enough for the 2 of us and beautifully decorated. The in room small fridge was handy to keep cold beverages as well as our freezer pack from our cooler. Diane and Dan were the perfect hosts. Diane is a wonderful cook and baker. Breakfasts were beautiful and tasty works of art, and cookies were delicious snacks. Hot beverages and cold ones were available at all times, as were a tray of wrapped snack items. Neighborhood is walkable and safe, but is not right downtown. Also it is older so would recommend good flat waking shoes for walking around outside with uneven sidewalks as well as lots of hills and dales! Definitely recommend. read more

We were greeted before arrival with a lovely email staying thanks for with information about Asheville and the package we booked. Detail! So, we were definitely excited and couldn't wait felt like a kid waiting on Disney world. Finally we arrive to our 2 night stay and was welcomed with warm smiles and tour of the inn and what to expect during our stay. Details! Love this. Champagne, Snacks, Cheese Board and everything you could think of was in your room. Even sparkling water a must on vacation. Details! Next Day coffee at the door around 7ish then our request for breakfast in bed. Details! Dan & Diane was the best host everything that was included in our package we got plus more. On our last trip to Asheville we stayed at Pinecrest Inn, a lovely bed and breakfast within walking distance of downtown. Not only did they provide us with a beautiful, quiet, comfortable room, they went above and beyond to make sure that being gluten free didn't take away from my bed and breakfast experience. Every afternoon we were greeted with gluten-free treats made by local gluten-free bakeries. Every breakfast had something special like gluten-free muffins, sweet breads, and toast. They even made French toast on gluten-free bread just for me. The guest rooms were beautiful. We started our visit in the Thomas Wolf Suite. Apparently there was a small leak in the closet of our beautiful room after a torrential downpour. It was barely noticeable, but the innkeepers moved us to the Grace Room on our last evening in hopes of improving our stay. I was actually quite thrilled, as during the booking process I couldn't decide between the Grace and the Thomas Wolfe. How perfect that I had the chance to experience both! In the Grace Room we were greeted with a bottle of wine as an anniversary gift, a bouquet of fresh flowers, and an amazing gluten-free chocolate carrot cake. It was a treat to stay at Pinecrest Inn. Not only is the inn beautiful, comfortable, and well maintained, the owners are friendly and determined to make sure that your experience is memorable. I highly recommend a stay at Pinecrest for anyone looking for a getaway. Enjoyed our stay here. Location is good. You can walk to downtown. There is an excellent Jamaican restaurant is just down the street. Diane made a wonderful and inventive breakfast each morning. I was full till 2 pm it was so good! The room was clean and spacious with a newly renovated bath. Room and area is very quiet. I appreciated that they offered a room with 2 twin beds so my daughter and I could sleep comfortably. I highly recommend staying here. read more

We stayed there about a year ago, and we're still talking about this place. It's a beautiful B & B at which to stay. Dan and Diane went out of their way in the best ways... for example my lactose-free diet. They had a special batch of cookies for me, and the breakfast was safe for me to eat... and delicious! The view from anywhere at Pinecrest is fantastic. Quite the scenic backyard. Always present with where to eat out and how to get somewhere the fastest and most economical, Dan and Diane were perfect. We had a delightful stay at the Pinecrest! Dan and Diane were wonderful and did not leave any detail unattended. Importantly, COVID precautions were evident and we felt at ease. The breakfasts were delicious and filling and the all-day coffee/tea/snacks were a nice touch. Our room was the smallest room but still had plenty of space for two and was quite comfy! The location is a little bit of a walk to the downtown, but that means the street and neighborhood are very quiet and peaceful. It was a great homebase to explore Asheville and the surrounding mountains and I would recommend it to anybody visiting the area! read more

Dan and Diane couldn't have been sweeter! They welcomed us with open arms and made us feel immediately at home. They served a beautiful breakfast at 9am sharp. It was delicious (thanks Diane). We had a quiche and roasted potatoes one day and strawberry pancakes. Don't forget about the afternoon sweet! Diane's oatmeal chocolate cherry cookies are sooooo good. You can't have just one! The house itself is quite old but it is in great condition. There's a beautiful breeze that comes through due to all the windows. Our room and the common areas were incredibly clean and tiddy. This is a really nice place. The innkeepers are very friendly and accommodating. The rooms are nicely done and the house itself is very pleasant. It's convenient to the down town and the breakfasts and afternoon snacks are homemade and outstanding, especially the blueberry buckle. if you like a big quality breakfast look no further, we stayed three nights and Diane excelled every morning. We stayed in the Grace room and were pleased except for the constant noise of the window air conditioner. It was the first week of August and very hot so we should have anticipated that in an old house. Looking back I would have preferred a cooler weather visit when we could have enjoyed the fireplace in the room. The new owners (Dan and Diane) are extremely friendly and more than eager to please, we would definitely recommend Pinecrest and the owners and would stay there again. read more

Upon arrival, my fiancé and I immediately knew something was special about Pinecrest Bed and Breakfast. Before we could even touch our bags, our gracious host Mr. Dan was greeting us with a large smile and a tour of the Inn. He directed us to the Wible suite, a newly renovated, tastefully decorated, and spotless room, fit for a king and queen. My fiancé and I looked at each other beaming with glee, knowing that we had made the right choice. After a night out, based on wonderful recommendations by our host, we retired to some of the softest sheets I've ever had the pleasure of sleeping in. Neither my fiancé or I woke up once during the night. Could it have been the soft sheets? Or perhaps it was the cozy fireplace that nestled us to sleep. We awoke to gentle sunlight and the smell of a home cooked meal. We followed our noses down to the dining room where we found two other couples and our hosts Dan and Linda. They were laughing and enjoying what looked to be quite a thoughtful meal. Our vegetarian diets were no match for Linda's creative and masterful cooking, as we left with full bellies and hearts. A firm handshake sent us on our way, and we are so glad we chose to stay at the Pinecrest Bed and Breakfast! read more

A friend and I stayed in the Cowley room for a weekend when we traveled to Asheville for a wedding. We were lucky to get the room, as it was the busiest weekend for leaf-tourists. When we pulled up to the stop sign across from the house, my friend said something along the lines of, "Oh, what a beautiful house. I wish we were staying there." Well, we were! We both really enjoyed the stay. The room was comfortable, and the breakfasts were delicious. I also loved the afternoon snacks--some variety of decadent baked good each day. It reminded me of a stay at grandma's house: warm and inviting, charming and comfortable. Janna had a number of suggestions for places to eat around town. Everyone we met was very friendly and accommodating, but we still had our privacy. I would recommend a stay at Pinecrest B&B to anyone traveling to Asheville. read more

I stayed in the Wible Suite this trip. I have stayed at the Pinecrest B&B before and have never been disappointed. Some of the aspects we enjoyed the most included: quiet, clean & cozy room, amazing breakfast spread (including coconut bread, ricotta pancakes with pecan glaze, waffles, frittata, fruit parfaits, bacon/ham, etc.), very friendly owners, and within walking distance of downtown.
