It had a steep, downward slope and needed a walkway to connect the driveway to the patio. We paid Shane close to 30k and our backyard is still a mess. His company installed steps that don't have an edge to keep the surrounding dirt from overflowing into them. He brought in 10 truckloads of dirt to level the backyard before even installing the retaining wall to keep it intact. He did install one smaller retaining wall in the yard but it was installed incorrectly and I now have to hire another contractor to correct and finish it so that it will actually hold dirt in place. The steps he installed are completely covered in dirt and aren't usable. The estimate stated he would put an edge on the steps but there aren't any edges to keep dirt from overflowing. The 10 truckloads of dirt he brought in has significantly washed away so we'll have to pay for more dirt once we get a contractor to complete the project. My husband and I have called Shane several times and requested he finish the job he started but he has not even tried to do right by us.

The project manager Mike and the decking crew led by Lupe that rebuilt and extended our deck did a great job. They need to improve the communication between the sales side and the project manager. I would suggest a meeting with the construction manager, project manager and the home owner to make sure all are the same page right up front. The project was done in a week, including the Saturday before Memorial Day to make our deck usable. I would recommend them for a new or rebuilt deck.
