A rental property was having issues with the drain line. We started at the septic tank to have it emptied. I received a call from the technician, on-site, to find out they were going to charge me another $400 to dig up the tank. Keep in mind the original quote was for $325. They ended up charging $450 more to dig up the lid. They were using a mini-excavator so the work was simple and there should have been a minimal up-charge, at best. The technician was very nice and easy to deal with, but the company policy for pricing that type of work is ridiculous. We've used Skyline a good bit in the past, even for drain field lines on another property but will NOT use them again. They have been bought out by a larger company and don't have reasonable prices any more. I felt over a barrel and taken advantage of to do the work. The company that bought Skyline has also bought Hamby's Septic, another once very good septic company. Buyer beware! read more

Angels of mercy. My daughter and I were trying to keep our basement from flooding by keeping 3 shop vacs going around the clock. We were getting about a gallon a minute and were completely worn out. When Nate saw what we were up against he pulled guys off of other jobs and had a sump pump in our basement that afternoon. It only took him and his guys 4 hours to install the pump and run a line under our grass. Not only did they do an amazing job but the price was half what another plumber quoted. I've been using Skyline Plumbing for 10 years and have never had anything but positive experiences. Prices are fair, service is reliable, friendly plumbers and office workers, and they're very thorough in making sure your plumbing issue is resolved. When they identify another costly issue which may cause problems down the line, such as a partial failure in a septic field, they don't turn the appointment into an aggressive sales job, rather just offering an honest assessment of where things currently stand and the problems which could arise without action. They may not advertise on every billboard and sports field in the community like some of their competitors but, to me, relying on word of mouth for business is something only a company confident in their product or service can pull off. They've been in business a pretty long while as we had to use them roughly 20 years ago during a plumbing emergency during a house remodel when buying a dumpy old house and they were good then. I remembered their name a few months ago when in the middle of the night BAM, pipe blows under the house. They came out quick and the problem was literally fixed in under an HOUR (!) - it's been months since that repair and no problems whatsoever since. Had one other incidence where the plumbing under the kitchen sink which we let a friend do (don't EVER do this) literally fell apart. Skyline came out and completely reworked it as the "friend" did it totally wrong, and was done in around 45 minutes - again, no problems since. Highly recommended. read more

2nd part of my complaint: sure enough again today after the 3rd time waiting a technician called me AFTER I HAVE WAITED ALL DAY, MOVED FURNITURE COVERED OVER MY PERSONAL EFFECTS WITH PLASTIC AND CLEARED EVERYTHING OUT OF MY BATHROOM only to tell me about "understanding how its been 3 reschedules...". Skyline Plumbing pumped the tank and gave an inspection letter for a home I purchased. They pumped the tank 3/17/19 I moved in 4/20. Less than 3 months in the home with normal water usage I have sewage in my basement. I called Skyline they gave all the explanations too much water used (no), house empty too long (no), in the lines of course. They said if they came back out they would have to charge me. Then I was told the person that handled this transaction was not there and they bought Skyline. I had another company come out. They opened the tank the pipe going out old and broken. They tapped it, it crumbled to pieces. I was told no way they did not see this, no way an approved inspection letter should have been given. You advertise honesty, really. Do not trust this company for inspections. It was so much wrong at the tank area a sign that further inspection was needed. I am currently seeking legal assistance. It is so simple do the right thing first. The inspection was a complete lie. read more

To whom it may concern; I had called Skyline plumbing out on thursday talk to Christine everything went well she got someone out within the hour great. Well I got a call from a technician Fred who kept telling me and my husband he had 25 years of experience well he was the worst plumber and kept telling me I need to replace the cast iron pipes, and he scratched up my tub 3 places and my bathroom was a mess and he had he never fix the plugged up toilet, so when I came home it worked one time and it was backing up again. So I called and complain I needed someone else out friday night or saturday so Matt from the call center very nice told me it would be tomorrow. So Asa the technician came called first and he arrive about 8:10a he was professional courteous and he explain everything he was doing I give 5 stars for him and he told me he would tell Kerry the branch manager on Monday. I call this morning talked to Kerry about what happen with me and told him I still I have not received any receipts the Skyline plumbing is not what they were 3 yrs ago I hope I get some kind of refund for the damages Fred has done and Kerry never said anything on it. I just want to let you I work for Mister Sparky and know alot of people and you don't handle customer they way you do. I first used Skyline in the early 2000s to replace a water heater. They seemed honest and very professional. Since then I've used them 3 or 4 additional times and they've always been great. However I now have to find another plumber to look at my problem. Skyline won't come down to East Atlanta for some unknown reason, even for a long time customer. read more

Inside of an hour they: 1) got one of my exterior faucets working again, 2) installed a new garbage disposal 3) fixed a slow drain and 4) replaced the sink hardware in my master bathroom. The small job they did (which I later found out I didn't need) was fast and good but the job I called them for was quoted at $1600 + to not find the issue but redirect everything in my yard in order to usurp the issue. I instead called another plumber who FOUND and FIXED the leak under my garage floor for $500. And one of the guys was really condescending and argumentative. This was a 1 star review turned good. So few times do people care enough to make things 100% right. I am giving a five star review, after being so mad at them, I was shaking. The owner stayed on the phone with me for almost 40 minutes, until I was happy and understood everything. I hope the tech never angers another customer. I mean they have to realize that almost every job they do is over 1000 dollars. That is a lot of money for anyone. So kudos to the owner. I had requested that Skyline come out and empty my overflowing septic tank and to install a new drain line for the tank. I was originally told the tech Timothy would be out here around noon, I waited and waited about 2:00 I decided to call teh company as no one has bother calling me, turns out there was a bigger emergency than my backup problem! The lady at the office was very nice and was apologetic and rescheduled the appointment for the next day. Once again, I waited and waited, I then called them back yet again after he was another two hours late and was promised that I was the next stop, hours go by and around 5:30, which was about four and half hours late the tech finally shows up. No apologies, nothing, just rude as if he did not even wanna be there in the first place. Do yourself a favor and just look somewhere else, this company was bought out by a larger company that no longer cares to give even decent service, this company and Hamby Septic were both bought out by big corporations that do not care about their customers at all. I am glad it happened though because I was able to find a company that came out quick and did the job at half the price! read more

Skyline provided a very reasonable estimate to replace the cold water copper lines in my house. The home is a ranch on a full basement; the water lines were under the main floor and above a suspended ceiling. The work was completed in July, 2017. The copper lines were not removed causing multiple water leaks and damaged ceiling tiles. The crew left a significant mess. I called management and the crew returned to correct the issues. Well, I thought they corrected the issues. The pipes were not removed but capped. Well, some were capped. I spent several quality hours with my wife removing the pipe and several gallons of water, and of course a few ceiling tiles were damaged. The water in the exposed pipes was a significant factor in the mold issues that developed the last twelve months. The $1300 mold treatment well exceeded the installation savings. 99% of the time you get what you pay for; beware of the very reasonable estimate. read more

Skyline recently serviced our septic tank. We had never had it serviced in the 16 years we have lived in the house. We recently noticed occasional gurgling noises and bubbles in a downstairs toilet when the washing machine upstairs would drain. Also at the end of a weekend of laundry and 4 females showering that same downstairs toilet would be slow to flush for a couple of hours. I figured I had septic issues beginning. I was really afraid I might be looking at major repairs and costs. I had Skyline quote me $339 to do a routine service and pump it out. They came out the next day on time and had it completed in maybe 45 minutes or less. I had some clogged filters that they cleaned as well. Charged me what they quoted and everything is working great now. I highly recommend based on my experience with them. read more

I called this company due to the location and spoke with Debbie who quoted me a reasonable price and scheduled the appointment. There were two guys that showed up on time for the appointment. However, I gave them my estimation of where the septic tank was and one of the guys even came in through the garage and into the basement and stated it was in a different location than what I had said. I presented them with a drawing of where it was located which was the same area I initially said and the guy said he "knows that now". He told me it was 3 feet deep and they would have to come back with a tractor either the next day or the day after not being specific to either one. My question is obviously you know you are going to have to dig so why would you not bring the tractor with you??? Then I was told due to the digging it was going to be an additional $250.00. Talk about hidden cost!!! No thanks. I called Debbie and told her there was no need for them to return. I would not make that call to them again simply because they were unprepared, not as professional as one should be, and you shouldn't have to expect hidden cost! read more

Skyline septic at first seemed very professional. We called a lot of companies before Skyline, that's what sad. I am a professional so I highly regard first impressions! From that point on every thing went down hill. They said they had a solution for our problem and it did not work. We tried to call them for a recommendation that would fix our problem and all we received were excuses as to why it was us! Our water bill was too high, which was true, but also we had too many people living in our house! They themselves said 5 to 6 people and that is what we have! They also charged us over $100 to fix a toilet that was leaking that "they" thought could be the problem... Guess what? Not fixed! We could have done the same repairs for under $10. Last but not least when I ask them to come back to our home to look at our septic problem they sent us an "EMAIL" to say our water bill is too high and we have too many people in our house! A good business would call the customer. If you are like us and need help with fixing your septic and or plumbing do not call skyline ! I never do this....
