This unassuming park slightly outside of Crossville packs a punch! I stayed in the Mill House Cabin, which is now one of my favorite rentals of all time! Sitting on the underside of the bridge, you have no neighbors shy of the ranger residence up a private driveway leading to the visitor center / aviary area. With great access to trails, walking distance to the restaurant, and pretty much central to everything while being secluded and private at the same time. I did one of the ranger-led night floats, for a little history and a night sounds segments, which was also amazing! The park is relatively near to Chattanooga or Fall Creek Falls as well if you are interested in day trips!

The short hike up to the overlook took about 5 minutes, and the view at the top is absolutely breathtaking. It's a great little adventure and well worth the drive. I was wearing sandals and made it just fine, but I'd definitely recommend closed-toe shoes for better grip and safety. Also--don't forget the bug spray! We got bit by some gnat-type bugs while taking in the view. Can't wait to come back when the weather cools down. It's one of those spots that's beautiful now and will be even more amazing in the fall.

We drove from Hendersonville Tn to Bee Rock Overlook 11/4/2025 that took us over two hours. When we…read morearrived there were people warning about the Asian Lady Bugs. They were covered and trying to knock them off before getting in their car. We walked up to the overlook anyway since we drove so far. Man, they weren't kidding! There were swarms of these things everywhere. It was awful and we had our dog with us. While I was getting the dog back in our truck these pests were all around and a bunch got inside the cab. We had them flying around inside the cab on the way home and even finding more the next day. Not a fun day at Bee Rock. If the lady bugs weren't there it would be a nice place to see, a very short walk to the overlook but a little tricky in a couple of spots. I had to photoshop the swarming bugs out of these pictures.
