It was a very quick and convenient process & the skates were picked out & ready when we arrived. Be prepared with shoe sizes during the reservation. It appears that the ice skates are cut small, (or perhaps our socks were too thick), either way, I recommend asking for a size up because a few of our skates didn't fit & had to be exchanged. Thankfully, the staff members were very helpful. We went on a Thurs night and it was a decent sized crowd but not overwhelming. Parking is free. It's a nice, smaller rink, decorated with lights and plenty of seating for spectators. Everyone was wearing masks and hand sanitizer was available. They also have double bladed skates & penguin ice sliders available to assist the smaller children w/ their ice skating. (Some of the adults needed them too lol.) You are given a coupon for a $2 hot chocolate at the Thai restaurant near by with your purchase. Amateur skaters, as well as skaters whom have competed at National, Sectionals and International events. The show consisted skaters of all ages performing for the crowd at a resonable price of $15/per person. All proceeds go back to the rink for upkeep and providing a space for skaters to practice and perfect their skills. Keep a look out, the Columbia Ice Rink is putting on another performance in March called "Disney Gagnam Style". A show full of Disney characters and princesses on Ice for the entire community to enjoy! I hope you stumble upon this place because it offers a place for indidicuals to be inspired, learn how to skate and encourage a safe and supportive atmosphere. Perfect price and within a few blocks walk. We enjoyed skating and even upped our skills using the adult sized PVC pipe skating helpers. Both is us have quad skated much of our lives, so learning to skate backwards, spin, hockey stop and power slide are all on our list. We had ample.space to play around in the center of the ice and felt awesome trying to adapt to the space. Staff were attentive to skaters helping those who fall back up. While there are some glaring inefficiencies, the overall value makes up for them. It's so hard to find steals like this, in an indoor rink nonetheless! Weekend public skate sessions are a bit short, we came for the 3-5pm window in Jan, which lead to an influx of guests at opening. The line stretched outside the building - it took about ~20 minutes from arriving to getting skates. Parking was a pain. When we arrived at 3:10pm the lot was full with overflow parking already deep along the road. I suspect Dec/Jan is peak season though, so keep that in mind. Rental sizes can run out, though staff did warn us of low/out of stock sizes before purchasing. Ice well maintained. Card only, no cash.

I couldn't wrap them around the ankle of the boot, and as such they were very loose - so much so that I had to go down two sizes, at which point they were just pinching my feet. My kids also complained that they were too loose and then too tight. Finally, we started very soon after they opened and the rink was already difficult to skate on because of all the marks on it. We didn't see the zamboni until we were leaving, around 11:30. They really needed to use it earlier. I don't think we'll come back here to skate anymore.

I saw a mom who paid $36 for two kids to enter and skate! Plus, the rink is not as well-kept. On multiple occasions, the ice is quite rough to skate on, because they aren't Zamboni-ing properly or often enough. I probably won't be back anytime soon.

Severna Park Golf Center consists of an 18 hole miniature golf course, a driving range and a nine hole, par three golf course. The golf center also has a small pro shop and a deck for hosting private parties. The Severna Park Golf Center has been in business for decades and it shows its age a bit. The miniature golf course is fun but the holes are set amongst a barren landscape of rocks. There is also a water feature that has seen better days. You won't find a cheesy theme like you would at the beach or a lush landscape like you will in Pasadena. The driving range is also basic. A good portion of it is covered with ceiling fans but the fans seem to be broken. To enjoy the driving range, buy your balls inside the pro shop and then take your ticket down the steps to the range machine to fill your basket of balls. I have not played the three hole, par three course but it looks like a great place to learn how to play golf or to just have fun with 9 holes, 6 beers and 3 clubs. The longest hole is 125 yards so leave your drivers in the car. Also, watch out for range balls that sneak out of the range. Fore! Although dated and a bit run down, I do like how casual Severna Park Golf Center is. You don't need matching name brand clubs and there isn't a dress code so hackers are welcome! The Pasadena Golf Center is a really nice place to expend some energy and have some fun on the miniature golf course, at the covered and heated driving range or in the multi-speed softball and baseball batting cages. There is ample parking, a little pro shop and room to have a birthday party. I personally was very impressed with the well designed, appropriately landscaped and challenging miniature golf course. The 18 Hole astro turf course has a lot of variety to it and I love that the landscaping is very appropriate for the Chesapeake Bay region. There are fountains, water features, water falls, grassy knolls and cat tails. The landscaping stakes you feel like you are teeing off in the marshes surrounding the Chesapeake Bay watershed.
