Good, value, Chinese food in Miami Springs. I was spending one night near the airport before flying out, and this fast food Chinese restaurant popped up. It's Miami, so wasn't sure if it was Latin American Chinese style. I took a look at the menu, and it seemed the same as any other American Chinese restaurant. Stuck with things not deep fried or spicy, and it ended up pretty good. The large standalone building has seen better days, with most of it not being used. The dining room is closed, with just a few tables for waiting and for those folks who just have to eat the food right away. I placed my order, got it in a well packaged bag, and took it back to my hotel room to eat. Seafood Cantonese ($15.55) - light white sauce, well flavored. Came with a lot of seafood, including jumbo shrimp, large scallops, and big pieces of imitation krab. The broccoli had been sautéed well. The dish came with white rice, delivered in a clam shell instead of the typical Chinese takeout container. Mixed Wonton/Egg Drop Soup ($4.55) - a decent soup, with big, large wontons. Went in for dinner on the last day of vacation staying next door at the Clarion. We didn't feel much like carrying our back to our room and the lady at the counter was VERY accommodating, letting us use their one table and providing paper plates and utensils. The food came out piping hot in a short time, and was well made, hitting the flavors just right. The portions were HUGE and we couldn't finish it all, but we left very satisfied. It was delicious. It was not heavily breaded like most. We tried the chicken lo mein and it was filled with delicious white meat chicken and we also had the chicken and broccoli. We had fried plantains and steamed pork dumplings. If you're looking for a quick, fresh, hot bite to eat before getting on your flight I would recommend trying this even though it's kind of a sketchy neighborhood. At first I was worried my chicken vegetables wouldn't be that flavorful compared to something else from the menu based off how it looked, but I was wrong. It was a great portion size, filling, tasty, and healthy. They were very patient with me and gave great recommendations which as someone who is indecisive I greatly appreciated. They were real friendly to everyone from what I saw. We flew into Miami today, and got to our hotel around one pm. We were starving and planned on walking somewhere and found a list of things within walking distance. We have a small child with us and it was extremely hot so we tried to find something that would deliver other than pizza or UberEats. I instantly remembered we saw Chinese in the list of places very close and their website was super easy to figure out how to place the order. They called to confirm our order and told us it would actually be much faster than what the website said for delivery so be on the look out. It was here within 20 minutes. We got two dinner entrees (sweet and sour chicken and beef with broccoli) and a side order of fries. The dinners came with the entree, a HUGE portion of rice, soup and an egg roll. The food was super hot, egg roll was super crispy and they even packed us each a cute little bag with soy sauce, spork, duck sauce and a napkin. The food was seriously some of the best I've ever consumed from a Chinese restaurant. I didn't try the sweet and sour chicken as my companion ordered that, but my beef and broccoli was perfectly cooked and so savory. I wish I would have taken pictures of everything before we dug in, it was just so good. We ended up eating most the rest for dinner. Delicious, hot, fresh, quick delivery of Chinese food. We ordered our meal before 4pm and it was delivered in about 30 minutes. They included plates and silverware as we were staying in a hotel. Portions were generous and at a good price. This was the highlight of our trip so far after dealing with our less than ideal flight delay and bad hotel experience. When it comes to chinese food, whether it is authentic chinese or american-chinese I am very selective since my father is a chef. With the many mediocre "American-Chinese food" restaurants in Miami, it is easy to over look a really good one. Ping House offers very fresh food selections, and their flavors surpass other chinese restaurants. Many of their entrees, ie Szechuan, Mongolian, Orange, General Tso's, are very rich in flavor. In my opinion, some dishes have a zest unlike others. My particular favorites are: Shrimp and Lobster sauce, General Tso's Chicken and their egg rolls (which are homemade and wrapped). Plus, their special fried rice is very plentiful in ingredients. In the world of American-Chinese food, I would recommend this restaurant because its food is outstanding. Give this place a try !!! Definitely a hidden gem, I have passed by this place for years and have never gone inside and boy was I missing out. The place had a pretty small parking lot and a small entrance. The place itself isn't all that big, but it can handle somewhat of a crowd compared to other Chinese places. They have areas with booths and tables with regular chairs as well. The food was very good! I had the steamed dumplings, boneless ribs, and the beef lo Ming. The dumplings were very good and tasted how they should taste. The ribs tasted very good and pretty standard like any other Chinese joint. The lo Ming also had a typical taste that almost all Chinese places have. The service was very good and the way they place the good on the plates were very well placed in comparison to other Chinese restaurants. The usual fare for a Chinese restaurant. We have been coming here for a while and have never really had any problems. The food is a B+ usually, and does the trick whenever we are craving Chinese. My family likes to get the honey garlic chicken- with fried rice. Turn around is pretty quick so get ready to pick your orders up! The parking is fairly cramped and located in the back of the restaurant. Be careful entering through the back door as there is usually puddles of water which don't smell the greatest. Overall we order for takeaway but the restaurant itself has plenty of room for seating and TVs to watch. read more
