The Ping House looks like it's been around since the cocaine wars of the 80's. I remember as a child I would see the building whenever we would drive by it on 36 St. and snicker at it's name. Now that I'm a resident of Miami Springs, I find myself ordering food from there once in a while, and you know what, it's really not that bad. Granted, I've never set foot in the place just cause the parking lot looks like a venue for a good rape, but luckily they deliver. I ordered the General Tsao's Chicken with an Egg Drop soup and was happy to taste that the food was still hot and full of flavor. My friend ordered the miso soup and was pleased with it as well. It's no P.F. Changs or Ruby Foos, but if you are looking for some tasty Chinese food that doesn't look like cat food and will leave you full, give the Ping House a chance if you are in the area. Called in a delivery order to our hotel room and it was at our door in 18 minutes. We have had better Chinese food but we have had much worse. The portions were ridiculous; we ordered to dinner meals and just those meals could have fed three large grown men, enormous. The rice was delicious and the egg rolls tasty. Great little spot for a bite to eat, it has a mom and pop dinner feel to it. The staff was friendly and the food was great. I had the Mongolian Beef and my girlfriend had the Szechuan Shrimp. Both dishes came out steaming hot and very flavorful. We love spicy food and those dishes hit the spot. For me, I have to rate the place a 1 star because of the service.... it's HORRIBLE!!! Most of the girls all have an attitude, they don't smile and they are completely rude. Not to mention when you order a lunch special that comes with a soup and then there is no soup inside the bag. The only reason that I gave it 2 stars was not to be a total bitch. I ordered delivery and it took forever. When the food arrived, they did not include the soy or duck sauce packets...WTF??? And the food REALLY needed it too. The fried rice was almost white color and no flavor, the beef lo mein was ok, but the sesame chicken was drowning in some sauce that was gross looking and it tasted like frozen food that was barely cooked long enough.
