This place was not kind, so slow, and not good food too. I will not come again here. The server with the short black hair and glasses had very poor manners. We asked her a question and she had no idea what we we're saying so she yelled into my face saying "WHAT" even when we were speaking English. She also shoved a customer and didn't even say sorry. The other one with the pixie cut and black glasses laughed at us when we didn't know that we had to order on a piece of paper. But they didn't even explain that to us So how we're we even supposed to know. So rude. They didn't even welcome us. Also, she was so nice to the customers next to us. I guess She was looking down on us because we were asian I guess and that we can't understand, but jokes on her we came from California. Also even when we werent even done with our food, they were taking our food away. Not only is the service bad, the food is not good. We ate the Roast Pork Puff and it was 4.55 pounds. It was only 3 pieces !! It was not even that good. It is just beef inside a puff pastry. The only thing that was good despite the price was crispy prawn ball which was 5.35 pounds which only has 3 pieces.... The bathroom was so nasty and I feel like they don't clean the bathroom at all !! Overall not a good place. We were a family of 4 and the overall the bill was 28 pounds and we were still so hungry. Family of 4, with 2 kids under 15, will set you back by £95. They add a discretionary service charge of 12.5%. The dim sums were really tasty. The location of the restaurant is quite good as well. We tried the prawn squid ink dimsum, spicy chicken dimsum, mixed vegetable dimsum and the vegetable sticky rice along with crispy aubergine bao which was presented very well and was quite filling too. It was reasonable also. It's a must try for dimsum lovers. Will try the desserts next time. read more

Ping Pong is ok, but it's a bit like the McDonalds of Dim Sum. It's ok for what it is, but, you'd get better in China Town. Having said that, if you're not anywhere near ChinaTown it's a fair substitute. The food is always fine and the coctails are nice, though a bit expensive for an average restaurant. This particular location I've frequented at friends' requests a couple of times. Upstairs is small and cramped, but nice. Last time we were sat downstairs in a group at the back though and there was a big group as well as all other tables being full. It was so noisy we couldn't hear each other talking across the table and it go so insufferable that we decided to go and have dessert elsewhere as it was hurting our ears with the echo as well. read more

Went with my family (wife and toddler). Food is good in terms of quality and does the job if your after a slightly eastern taste with western balance. It is not authentic but good quality for what it is. This branch isn't kid friendly, it's too small and the staff don't really know how to help parents. read more

Ping Pong was my first exposure to dim sum and I was absolutely blown away. The Northern Chinese dumplings were like nothing I had ever experienced at American Chinese restaurants, where greasy meat and vegetables slopped on top of greasy rice is the standard. I ordered a delicious apple iced tea to start off my meal, followed by a bowl of the coriander hot and sour soup which was packed with flavor. We ordered a wide variety of dumplings that we all shared and sampled, and they were all wonderful. My favorite were the spicy vegetable dumplings, which contained vegetables, rice vermicelli, chili, and garlic. Yum yum yum! Everything was absolutely delicious. Another plus came from the prices on the menu- Ping Pong was considerably less expensive than a lot of other restaurants in London. The atmosphere was lovely as well- we sat outside on a perfectly temperate summer day and watched people come and go about Marleybone. The server was friendly and enthusiastic, and he was always very quick about offering us refills. Eating at Ping Pong was an absolutely wonderful experience, one that I would recommend to anyone who's looking for a good meal. In short: Ping Pong has good food, good service, and a good atmosphere. Near Oxford Circus. Great place for quality dim sum. Definitely worth the price. I'd recommend getting the set menu Sharing Selection for 2. Came up to £34.95 for 9 items! They do charge a 12.5% service charge but the service is friendly. Our favourite item were the spicy chicken dumpling, prawn toast with sesame seed(sauce is bomb.com) and potato & edamame cakes. read more

Yum! Really tasty little bites. The chili squid and steamed mushroom spinach (2 separate dishes) were terrific. Really good service, the server did a great job explaining how and what to order. The wine list is a little limited, but the tea looked great. Two of us shared a bottle of wine and 11-ish items for £30 each, I thought it was a great value. I'm docking one star because the restroom was incredibly musty and dirty smelling. read more

This is an awesome place for a romantic meal, drinks with friends, or just a light bite. Although the menu doesn't have as much choice as some other more traditonal dim sum places, the cocktails more than make up for it. As far as quality goes, I haven't had better dim sum anywhere else in London! read more

Usually love this place and have eaten here multiple times. However we had a really bad experience this last time. We were at the bar waiting for our table to be ready and attempted to order a drink. The bartender ignored us calling out to him and continued to make other orders without even acknowledging us. When confronted he got defensive rather than apologising. Set a really bad tone for the rest of the meal. read more

Found this place while wandering around with a friend. The place is very hip and had some pretty delicious selections. It's definitely not your back-alley Chinatown dim sum place, but a nicer version with some modern twists. We got the selection menu to share, plus a few other things that looked good and we were both happy with everything. Drinks here were great as well! read more

I think Ping Pongs are kind of like the Starbucks of dim sum land. It's predictable, reliable and you're usually not too far from one. I can't say I've ever been out on the town and thought OMG where's the closest Ping Pong?! But, they do have good voucher deals, so check online before stopping in. Though, that said, they can also do lunch specials and set menu prices that are quite drop-in friendly. Sometimes when you're out shopping and faced with chain restaurants, a little steamed goodness just sounds like the perfect addition to your triumphant purchases. If that's what you're after, hop up from Oxford street and get yourself a beer and some tasty little bits that won't totally break your bank. read more

My sister and her boyfriend absolutely adore this place. I thought it was pretty good for the price (they have an all-you-can-eat deal for weekend afternoons). Our waiter was funny, and very French. The tea is free leaf in strainer balls, which I liked. The portions are small and flavorful. I'm spoiled since I live right by the largest Chinatown in North America, and have Chinese friends who have exposed me to Dim Sum repeatedly. Excellent food! We came in an hour before closing and managed to have a first class meal served before closing time. The drinks were great some sort of mojito that left us asking for more. The items that were recommended to us were varying enough to keep our interest at a peak. The amazing colours of the food keep you enthralled as you savour the next surprise to come out of their genuine wooden steamboxes. Would highly recommend this place. A fabulous dim sim restaurant - good quality food. The customer service was excellent, I had the set menu, which the waitress adjusted to my dietary requirements, best restaurant service I've received in a longtime. Also the cocktails appear to have a healthy twist in long glasses - really yummy. The toilets are located deep in the basement of this property and are mixed - ladies on the right gentlemen on the left. I don't really like mixed toilets, but its not a deal breaker for me. Tiny place where the food is pretty but pretty tasteless. The food is likely reheated after being prepared at some central location for all of its locations. Not so pricey compared to a regular restaurant, but for dim sum, it's pricey. We had the sticky rice with prawns, seafood dumplings, spicy pork dumplings, honey ribs - bland, bland, bland. Lemonade at 3£ per gets expensive fast. The steamed pork buns were ok - at least they had some taste. My advice - skip it. read more

Came here on Wednesday; it was my first time at any Ping Pong restaurant. Food was lovely, staff were very friendly and I thought it was great value for money. The only thing I wasn't overly keen on was the layout of the toilets, but I think that says more about me than the restaurant. read more

The concept of dim sum restaurants is widespread, but few do it with the perfection Ping Pong does. The outside for each dimsum is perfectly thin, yet holds well. A ton of vegetarian options makes it a treat for all vegetarians. read more

I love Ping-Pong - I think they are great value for money and always hits the spot whether I am starving or want a light bite. Only issue is - last time I went their seafood rice was off - however they were extremely apologetic and the staff dealt with the situation really well.
