Our Audis have always been tended by our local dealer and when they abandoned our town, we have had to go to Tri-Cities. We are now sold on staying local again and both our Audis will be trusted to AutoMetrics. Why? It did not take long to get scheduled and they accepted the car early since we were depending on a tow for transport. Communication was outstanding. On the day of Crystal's appointment, we learned right away what the problem was and given the good news that the part and labor wouldn't break the bank. The next day the call came that the repair was complete and the car ready for pick up. Tow-off to pick up was 3 days. This business was easy to work with, friendly, knowledgeable, organized, well equipped, and well staffed.

Based on the reviews of AutoMetrics, it seemed that it might be a good fit. A good fit is an understatement! I took our car in this morning for an oil change as well as asking them to check out a possible suspension issue in the front end. Terry and Valentine were both personable and knowledgeable, both taking the time to discuss the suspension issue. Everyone in the shop was friendly and very professional. The shop was one of the cleanest and well organized I've ever seen. Our previous shop in Portland was the exact opposite. Erik went for a test ride with me to assess the suspension issue and immediately had some ideas on what the problem might be. Voila! The oil got changed and the suspension issue turned out to be nothing. Prices were incredibly reasonable and I left with a feeling of confidence knowing our car had been expertly tended to. And to top things off, when I went out to get in my car, I discovered they had washed it! We will definitely go back! Amazing!

I've asked questions about the cost of their oil change, a sensor that needed to be turned off, a burned out brake light, etc. EVERY SINGLE TIME, I was told to come in and they would "take care of me". And they have! Chris, the service manager is amazing! He works me into the schedule promptly and always treats me with the BEST customer service! Recently, I was told my rear brake light was out. I called Chris, he told me to come in the next morning, which I did and within 10-15 minutes a new brake light was replaced. NO CHARGE. Chris said again, "since you bought the car from us, we're going to take care of you". I've never felt as confident in a car dealership, as I do with Bill Harris. I give them my highest recommendation and when the time comes for another car - they are the first and only dealership I will visit!

Unfortunately, my college age son has never dealt with used car dealers before. I sent him to Bbl because they had a car on the lot that I felt was a good deal financially. They took it for a test drive, and afterwards spotted a different car and took that one for a test drive. They fell in love and decided that that was the car they wanted. Of course it cost more than my budget, but they loved it, so I told them to request a Carfax and if everything looked good I would purchase it for them. They asked about the Carfax, and the dealer told them that he had a copy and made it seem like it was no big deal. Of course, my son didn't realize that he should have looked at it in person. I pulled up the Blue Book Value based upon the information I had. The car had abnormally low mileage and for this reason, the dealership wanted to charge extra. I felt that was reasonable. Once they had purchased the car and had driven back home, I pulled a Carfax on it just to keep in my file. I could have kicked myself! Not only was the title not clean, but there was odometer fraud listed right there in big red letters. The dealer of course, had no problem selling this car to my young son who was completely clueless about the entire process. I called Nissan to see if they could find out the actual mileage from within the computer system, but the car is too old. If I lived closer to this dealer (I'm 8 hours away) I would have taken this car back in a heartbeat! Ask to see the Carfax!!

We found the specific make and model used car that we'd been looking for at BBL. We wanted low…read moremiles, a car that had not been modified by previous owners, and fewer previous owners. I called Robert and talked to him about the car, and he assured me what was posted on their site about the car was legitimate and that the car had been completely gone through by his mechanics. He had run a title search on the car and verified a single owner. He also assured me if there was major engine or transition issues, for example, that he would take care of them. Sight unseen, I put down a deposit as earnest money and planned to fly to Yakima the next weekend. Robert told he that he'd have someone pick me up at the airport, but that I should call that morning with my arrival information. I was met at the airport by Robert, Jr. with the car we were interested in, so I got my test drive on the way back to the lot. I later told my wife that the entire purchase process was very positive. Robert, his son, and their staff were courteous, polite, and I could tell from all of my conversations that Robert's word stands. I completely got the sense from my interactions that this is a family-run business success story (confirmed by others that I talked to in Yakima). BBL has a lot of used cars, a nice facility, and quite a few people busy working there. They buy cars from all over the west coast, and they do sell them (and ship them) to buyers out of state. The sales transaction was painless, and I was well taken care of. There was never any pressure or "slick" talk. I would recommend working with these folks. The drive home in the new car, by the way, was terrific. We got the right car from the right people.

Addendum to 1st review…read more 3 u-joints charged to my m-i-l in the repairs. The driveline takes 2 u-joints; . Fraud or error? Earlier bill shows B&C installed valve cover gasket ~2 months before they did the same job again, with scant new mileage. The need was identified by White Pass Garage, and B & C's charged a second time for the repair, assuming it was done either time.. not sure. Still a pool of oil to the inside of the driver's side valve cover. Either not cleaned up or still leaking. First r&r of valve cover cost my m-i-l over $200 for labor, and the second time, 2 months or so later, with few additional miles on the van, they charged another $300+ for labor. Same with fixing the leaking AC o-rings from the earlier visit. They charged her again to fix their first poor install, and noted it didn't include a recharge. Thus the heat from AC on the way north was poor. Heat on defrost was barely sufficient at +6 degrees f. exterior temperature while rolling on the highway with defrost on hot. Thermostat will be pulled and inspected. If not a 195 f. t-stat as stated it was (which I'm skeptical of now), that'll be another area of formal address. Shop failed to assess the function of a freeze-plug heater, though they IDed it. "We didn't trace the cord, and we don't know if it works." Why? Pre-trip inspection to the sub-arctic, ~3,000 miles, and they didn't think it was helpful? (*Upon pick-up of the van, the younger 'mechanic' found the -checked- cord for the freeze-plug heater coiled on top of ac-related box on firewall in plain view. So how much time was actually spent under this thing?. Defroster/heat fan blower motor making worn bearing sounds @ start-up at +55 f. in Yakima. Headed north with a heater fan motor about to die? Worse now, too. They had to have heard this. The vacuum lines were to be checked, with hardened or questionable lines replaced. They spliced into existing hardened lines, and replaced the lines they could easily reach. Left hardened lines, etc, in. Upper heater hose from radiator to firewall is aged, scale on the outside/OLD and not solid/safe. Not replaced. 12" of standard heater hose and 2 new clamps would've been a cheap job to make it safe; maybe 15" ? Not sure lower radiator hose was changed, though it was supposed to be. Looks swollen. Will inspect upon removal when we check the t-stat.. Upper hose is new. Heat riser tube from exhaust manifold to the bottom of air intake housing is crumpled at the lower end and not hooked up. That way upon receipt of the van. Rear u-join installed using half-moon clamps at the pinion yoke, but no inner c-clips used, caused increasing vibration, led to firm decision to take the ferry as the (then still undiscovered) result of the cap on one leg of the u-joint walking out of the clamp, leaving a pin bearing broken, a seal blown out on the u-joint, and a generally unsafe condition. (*Cost hundreds of dollars in Whitehorse to remedy this, along with a new-to-me driveline, as the forward u-joint had outer c-clips forced into the exterior, rather than the proper innner c-clips and thus the ears of that yoke were bent. I have the c-clips from where they were forced into exterior positions; the c-clips were ground on a grinder, complete with blue-ish burnishing marks of unequal depth, 1 end thicker than the other = unequal pressure on bearing caps. Temper of metal c-clips after heating/grinding? House battery was dead upon pick-up, and we later found a blown fuse under the dash, leading to the solenoid that connects the charging system for the van to the system for the rv. Discovered & repaired bare wiring on a 12v hoop fitting at a relay on the firewall that was a hazzard. We fixed it in Canada. Erratic high-speed wobbling of the driveline due to improper install of the u-joint = increased play in the output bushing at the transmission cone, and posisbly the seal there, as well as the output bearing at the plate ahead of the cone. Wear traceable to poor install on the u-joints. The transmission output to the speedometer cable is still leaking. Needs a new o-ring, perhaps, but still leaking. A 5" job. They had the van most recently for ~2 weeks, w/ a thorough list for repairs from White Pass Garage, as well as a thorough list from me. They fell short on those. They had an opportunity to repair these issues, and didn't, but over the course of 2 months, charged my m-i-l a total of over $3,800. Few words describe this level of service from anyone calling themselves a mechanic. This was the service provided to an 81-y.o. woman with early stage dimentia, who gullibly paid THOUSANDS OF DOLLARS over the last couple of months; a snap-shot of the actual condition of the van upon its return to her. Shame!! I will continue the review in a third addendum after more inspection. Heat shield between peopane tank and catalytic converter hanging by thin baling wire, with 4 Robins screws blown out the tin. I fixed in Whitethorse, Y.T. Ca. myself.
