Cuteness is definitely found here along with fun stationeries and lots of hair accessories though this location in the Waimalu Plaza has the load of BT21 items I've ever seen in a single shop for its cozy size. Pink Box and N.Cat do share the same business as you see the sign on this store as well but it was nice to visit here as they do have slightly different merchandise from the other Kaneohe and Ala Moana location and with lots of free parking making it an easy stop to shop for various reasons...lol! They got great deals to bundle for multiple item purchases so if you're grabbing one for you grab one for someone and the service is very helpful if you're looking for a particular character or item. Thank you for my new friend Susan for getting me out of the house today. If not for her, I never would have discovered Pink Box. Not a large store, but they stock something for every taste. So many hair accessories, backpack accessories, stationery & pens, plushies and dolls for little and not-so-little girls! Wide variety of BTS items for everyone! While there, teenagers, tweens, millennials, gen-x-ers alike were browsing. The staff are very friendly and helpful. (I needed translation of something written in Korean.) Cute merchandise at Waimalu Plaza in Aiea, O'ahu, Hawaii... There was a Pink Box (store) on Ke'eaumoku Street, but it moved to Ala Moana Center. Both Pink Boxes are related to N Cat at Windward Mall. All three stores have BTS, BT21, Hello Kitty, Snoopy, and other characters. I like to look at the pens, hair accessories, jewelry, pencil cases, plushies, t-shirts, lanyards, coin purses, and other items and try to match them to friends and family for gifts. I saw My Melody that my neighbor would like. I have to bring my sister here because she'd probably want a BTS cap! I talked myself out of a white rabbit keychain - the bunny looked like Cony from Line Friends! Arg! I had to get out of that store before I did some damage! What a cute store! They have little gift items of all sorts. It's the Asian character shop / K-Pop shop and it's priced reasonably. They actually have phone cases cheaper than the mall. I got mine there a few times. I got 2/$5 earrings and my daughter got her bestie bunch of goodies for her birthday. They have a bunch of stationary items and K-pop posters, tumblers, fidget toys, socks, masks, accessories, lanyards, etc. The stamp system is great and we already earned $5 off next time. I actually discovered Pink Box from my sister a few years ago when she took me here to just look and walk around their tiny little shop of cute and cool items and i found out they sold Kpop albums here and a bunch of Kpop things in general. As a big Kpop fan myself, this was my go to store to get albums every time my favorite Kpop group make a comeb I've gotten many different albums here but it is pretty pricey like around $30-35 each album. Target actually sells a Kpop albums for $25, BTS, Twice, NCT, ITZY etc. basically a bunch of group's album at a much affordable price. Saving a lot more money if you shop at Target. But other than albums, Pink Box does offer a lot of other cute items like keychains, phone cases, Kpop posters, plushies etc. It's cool to stop by and browse through the shop, you may find something you want. read more

AHHHHHH i love this store so much. They have a variety of super cute Korean accessories that are extremely reasonably priced. My daughter and I love coming here to check out what they have. I personally love their jewelry because it's cute. They sell BTS items like shirts and notebooks, etc. It's a very small store and they limit 6 people inside so we waited for a few minutes. They sell socks. Two for $5.00 and many pencils to stationery. It's pretty cool to see what they sell. I would definitely come back here to shop for stuff. Plenty of parking up front. Wow, first of all, I can't believe I haven't written a review when I have been coming here since 2012 during my Big Bang and SHINee days LOL. Pink Box has been my go-to for K-pop and cute accessories for the last ten years. I come here quite often as K-Pop has become increasingly more popular as the years pass. My last visit, I came to buy BT21 gifts for my cousin in North CA. Where she's from, there isn't a lot of K-pop stores so I wanted to get her a nice gift. Pink Box had a lot of nice official merch that I was able to get for her and reasonably priced. I've bought all most of my albums from here as well which saves me the time from ordering it off of Weverse or Mercari. The staff has always been so friendly and I have no complaints. :) read more

This is a cute little shop in Waimalu shopping center between city mill and Office Depot. There are a lot of hair accessories, cell phone accessories, Sanrio things, k-pop fan stuff and some anime fan items. My daughter and I came here on the way to Safeway shopping for Hurricane Lane items and I told her to come check out this place. We recently went to Japan and have already stocked up on otaku things, but we are always willing to look for more. She found some My Hero Academia items that she has been crazy about recently, along with some anime pillows and posters. They had things packed to sell for the comic con this weekend but they still had quite a bit of inventory left. The shop owner was super helpful in locating what items they still had left in the store and my daughter was quite pleased. If you don't have a package with you, it's $.15 (new state law). They have albums, but are very expensive compared to other shops. Most US stores have kpop albums for $30, but theirs are $35-$50. These do not include POBs even if they got them free with the albums. Photocards they claim are official, are not. They're bought in bulk on AliExpress. This is the same for the Sanrio items, bought and marked up from AliExpress. The staff is okay, some better than others, but most know nothing about kpop or the items they're carrying. When they were hiring, I tried to apply. The workers were happy to get me an application from the back, but when the owner (I would assume) saw me, she said they weren't hiring. I would say my friend and I were profiled. Wouldn't go here again, wouldn't recommend people go here. The older worker lady here is so unpleasant. Even though the younger worker girls are usually nice there, I'm so turned off by my last experience. They not so subtlety treat you like you're going to steal something. First the younger girl at the counter walked through the aisle I was in shortly after I came in. I don't know what it was about it but I feel like it was because of me. Then when I was looking in the glass case at the front with the light sticks, the older lady says "is there something you're looking for?". NOT in a helpful way. In a kind of irritated way, like why are you even in the store? I politely told her I was just looking. When I left, I politely said thank you to her and waved. She barely looked at me or acknowledged me even though i was standing right in front of her. Older lady cannot be broken with kindness. (Look at the other bad reviews!) I'm a bit older than their usual customers so I'm not there to load up on cutesy trinkets on every visit. I get nowadays theft is insane but they need a better approach.. We're all in the same club here, lovers of kpop and cute stuff. They gotta treat customers better. read more

It's a tiny shop with a whole bunch of Korean products and a spattering of other (probably) Japanese and American themed things like cheap jewelry, bags, and toys. We went primarily for the K-pop stuff because many folks say that this store (and the one near Ala Moana) has a lot of K-pop related merchandise. Apparently Don Quixote has a K-pop section as well but nothing like here. Their K-pop selection was quite extensive but there was a lot of currently popular artists like BTS, Twice, and Blackpink. Cute trinquette shop that I went to with my mom. Not sure how she knew about this place but it's a gem! Super adorable necklaces, hair clips and tyes, and earrings sold here! They also sell k-pop things, Disney, Pixar and Sanrio socks (my absolute favorite), and phone cases. All are pretty affordable. Most definitely way more affordable than Claire's and Icing's accessories. They are doing away with reward cards but still honoring them if you have. It wasn't my first time coming to this store, but this was my first time experiencing this type of customer service. My friend and I walked in with the purpose of looking for some exo merchandise. As we walked in I saw they had an album I was in the look out for right in the display case. I looked at the shelves where all the albums are and there wasn't any on the case. My friend asked one of the workers, an older worker with short hair who was at the register if they had more of the album I was looking for. She responds with "I don't know about that you're gonna have to ask the other worker, they are not my favorite". We said "okay" and simply asked if it was also possible to purchase something off the display case because we see it there and she continued to respond with "yeah you're gonna have to wait and ask the other worker". While we waited for the other worker my friend went to go pay and as she was waiting in front of the register the older worker was just looking at her phone and asked in a rude tone "are you ready?" She didn't even take the time to make eye contact. As the other worker approached, the older worker didn't take initiative to say that we needed assistance so we asked the same question to her. We again asked that we see the album in the display case and if it was possible to purchase that one (I would've been okay if not because they want it for display) and the younger worker said it was okay to do so and went to go look for the keys. While doing so, the older worker said something to her I'm assuming regarding us purchasing the album in the display case because the younger worker continued to say "it's fine". I would initially give one star but the younger worker was really sweet in helping us and I walked away with the album. I would like to come back again since it's closer to home but probably not when the older woman is working. I would've assumed she was having a bad day but before we walked in she was helping a family and she was so nice to them that as soon as she talked to us her whole attitude changed. read more

Located in the shopping plaza on Kaahumanu with Safeway and City Mill, across the street from Cattle Company. It's hidden in the corner next to The Face Shop. Today I went a little crazy on hair accessories! Super cute assortment of hair ties, scrunchies, and hair bows! Great for little girls, and a lot of styles that are still cute for adults (I'm far past being a little girl). As soon as my friend and I walked in the store, we were rudely told to sanitize. The older employee with short hair ordered us and said "Sanitize" without having said any kind of welcome or please. On top of this, I did feel as if this employee made an excuse to follow us around the store. When I had been in a certain section, the same rude employee came behind me to "touch up" on merchandise--they neither added to the merchandise nor took anything away from it, nor were there any customers in before us that could have touched that section. This employee had been sitting at the register since we walked in, but somehow felt inclined to "fix" merchandise when my friend and I walk in. Interestingly enough though, there were other customers that walked in after us, and this employee left them alone as well as spoke to them without the rude tone she had used on my friend and me. Mind you, my friend and I are noticeably darker skinned than the other customers that had walked in. Overall I just had an uncomfortable shopping experience here with this specific employee's customer service, and I will not be shopping here again. read more

Pink box reminds me of all the kpop shops and record stores I have been to while living in Korea. Of course the prices are more here in the US because majority of their items are imported from Korea but for the most part the prices are reasonable. I went there to purchase a K Pop cd. I guess the girl who was of asian or korean background did understand exactly what i wanted. I asked if they have a cd by Eugene? ( Kim Yo Jin ) She showed me something of New Jean, which is the name of said band. I did not know what I was buying and thought it was Eugene. So when I unwrapped it and opened the box, it said Danielle. I then realuzed that it was not what i was looking for. When i called the store about a refund because the girl sold me the wrong item. The manager said that they do not refunded because it is opened. I undedtood that but a tip for anyone who is not sure what they are buying? Make sure you know what you are buying. They shound change their policy. Lol! They should train their employees to better understand what the customer wants. My youngest daughter enjoys this store. There are Japanese and Korean products to choose from. If you are a K-Pop fan, then this is the place to come. Located in Waimalu Shopping Center next to the Face Shop and Office Depot, Pink box is tucked in the corner but not hard to find. The staff are friendly and enthusiastic about their merchandise. They have hair accessories, wallets, clothing, pens, pencils, stickers, etc. Items that you would commonly find in a Sanrio shop and much more. Prices are reasonable and the latest pre-teen and teen items can be found mixed in with items for the younger children. I recommend that you come in and see what you can find. She got a sweatshirt and a face mask, had it been up to her she would have gotten stationary and stickers and everything she possibly could have. Huge fan of this store! If you're into KPOP like me, this store is heaven! They mainly carry KPOP merchandise such as BTS, TXT, iKon, Wanna One, Big Bang, Twice, and Blackpink. They also have a small anime and Sanrio section with other characters such as Kakao Friends and Disney. Employees are very friendly, but their KPOP and anime knowledge can vary among employees; some know way more KPOP and anime groups than others. There are items that are counterfeit, but they at least notify you beforehand. There is a con: The prices for the merchandise is slightly higher than Hot Topic (and yes I said Hot Topic because Hot Topic always hosts sales on their products). Great prices for the cutest items. They have similar items to N Cat but have a different owner. I love the hair accessories here and also buy a pair of earrings or two. They have a cute collection of stationary too which sets them apart. I haven't seen another shop selling the sumikko Gurashi note books or the Sanrio socks in this area. First time coming to Pink Box and I love it. Lots of parking, they are located in the shopping plaza on Kaahumanu, same area as City Mill Pearl City. They have so much cutesy merchandise, from headbands, to popsockets, clothing, hair clips/ties and more!!! I love the Toki-Doki Bags, and the kawaii phone cases. Some things could be pricey but it's definitely worth it. I got two cute headbands, one white paisley design and one floral. only $5 each! Didn't plan to go here. I had breakfast at pancakes and waffles BLD and my wife wanted to come here to look around. I agreed with no intention of going into the store or buying anything. But I was waiting outside and asked if I could come in with my coffee. They said yes so I wondered into the store and was surprised they had lots of cool stuff. I saw some fortnight characters and some cutesy gifts and lots of accessories for girls. Then I I saw a set of dragon balls that was too cool to pass up. I always wanted my own set!
