Kawaii and cuteness overload…read more.. JQ Store Hawaii found it's new home here in the International Marketplace from the former Ala Moana Plaza and aren't we all thrilled that they did. Filled with all things Japanese it's not limited to the plushies and stationaries we all grown to love and miss as many Japanese stops have slowly disappeared JQ has a great variety to please all levels of anime lovers. Located on the second level right above the Kuhio Avenue Food Hall the first thing I saw as soon as I walked in was some discounted holiday items which is a great time to stock up and find unique decor that area so cute and fun. They do have a huge stock of plushies so fluffy and cute all covered in plastic so that you have no worries of cleanliness along with mystery boxes, huge choices of pens and model kits which are items that can be pricey but are hard to find items even in Japan. A great place with staff that are always willing to help you find items that they may help you to find or just a question, here at JQ Store its a fun trip without the long travel plans. Thank you!

I'm so glad I came here. The guy was really nice. They were somewhat busy but he gave the option of grading cards for her and Venmo so we dont have to drive back! We got a great deal. She was super happy. Lots of parking as it's in a little shopping center. Where Chuck ECheese was. Definitely recommend coming here to sell (and buy) cards. Support local!

When you tell him your asking percentage you want, he starts talking to you like you're not a customer, & talks to you like you're lower than him, or makes you feel stupid in front of his other coworkers or customers in the store. A really bad tone with this guy. I can't be the only person that has had a bad experience with this person. & I bet they would know who I'm talking about. Many of their locations are pop-ups around the holidays, but this one is going to be a permanent fixture at International Marketplace. It's located on the second story near the Banyan Tree; with big open windows it's hard to miss all the colors inside. Parking is validated for purchases of $10 or more, but it's much easier to get here walking around Waikiki. Their stores sometimes are overpriced, or charge more than similar stores. Despite the visitor heavy area, their prices seemed on par with what I would expect. At the time of this writing, they're having a 40% almost all of the store, which makes prices on some items even cheaper. Check sales on your next visit. They have all kinds of toys: action figures, ships, dolls, higher end collectibles for adults, board games, card games, puzzles, calendars, and cheap odds and ends near the checkout at the back. The clerk was super friendly to talk about the store and still attentive to handle customers. I look forward to dropping in on my walks.

Ideal808 partners with ToyLynx, so be aware. I had called to see if I can purchase the Marvel holiday pack the a day earlier than release on their website and pickup the same day, and the person on the phone said I could. Only to arrive, the rude employee told me he's unable to sell, and than he talked to his colleague(on slack on the spot), and he's colleague said he was under the impression if I just wanted to buy stuff online and pickup the same day, which isn't what I specifically asked for. So the employee tried to brush me off, a paying customer. 2) If you want to go to events: Don't. The same employee runs events and he's incredibly rude. Hes got a long grey goatee and long grey hair. Very disgruntled. He literally yelled at me because I couldn't hear him because of the event going on. He was clearly annoyed because he recalls me coming in the day before to try to buy the Marvel holiday gift box. 2.a) When I tried to enter the FNM, he told me to scan the QR code on the TV and follow instructions. He didn't tell me I needed an app to scan the QR code, luckily the nice lady next to me told me I needed to scan using the app. Once I did, the app informed me to go to staff to register me. As I approached the same disgruntled employee, I was trying to inform him that the app told me to see him, and he immediately just asked if my name was on screen, which it was(even before I scanned the QR), and replied saying yes, and he told me that I don't need to keep going up to the front and that I need to calm down and relax. I'm calm enough to not get tilted by a salty disgruntle worker, but this message is a reminder to him and others, of his attitude, and that I've seen other reviews of his work ethic. I wouldn't recommend attending any events from here.

This…read moreunique shop located in Pearlridge Center Wai Makai side and is not your typical shop as it seems to be more for the collectors as in the back there's a wall filled with Funko Pop and Pokémon cards in display case among finding some unique characters like One Piece and Skzoo to name a few though the load of Sanrio and Pokémon are found here as well. This spacious shop is very clean and organized which makes it very easy to browse and see what they have to offer, and seems like they also buy, sell and trade items as well which is pretty cool though not sure how it's done but for the true collector this is a great deal and a valuable convenient place to do so, it's not quite my vibe but is a cute shop which many seem to enjoy. She helped my 11-year-old son with the Warhammer tiny models, taking the time to explain everything needed to get started in painting. Her thorough and detailed explanations really made a difference. "Kaitlynn" was incredibly authentic and genuine - it's rare to find such dedication and care in customer service these days. I really appreciate her outstanding work and wanted to applaud her for it. Located in Pearlridge Mauka, near Macys, this store is open 10 AM to 8 PM daily except on Sundays when they close at 6. They are an anime store, with a lot of inventory of toys, action figures, and other type of collectibles. They are on the more expensive side, but tbh honest what isn't? You may find a better deal at maybe animation magic upstairs but I feel like Mini Q has a better selection and is geared more towards anime. The workers there are also very nice and helpful. Just as a tip, I just call them to ask if they have what I want in their store or something equivalent. They offer good recommendations when possible and even suggested I check out Razor when they didn't have the item I wanted in stock.
