I have shopped at this location since it opened. Never had any problems, it was what you would expect from a discount warehouse store. A lot of merchandise, good deals, no interaction or customer service really. Not any more!!! Since Kristin became the manager, the whole vibe has changed! My head almost spun off my neck when I was genuinely greeted upon entry! She told me about their current deals, handed me a flyer and was able to be heard interacting with others throughout my entire shopping experience!!! Wow!!!! This place is a mess in every way, except that the ladies working were friendly. The clothes are never in the right section. It seems to be organized by size, but you'll find items of every size in every section. Items may be damaged. A lot of the pieces I saw had makeup stains (ew) or broken zippers, ripped seams, or holes. The place feels unclean. It smells old and the dressing rooms are falling apart. I get that this is a discount store, but so is TJ Maxx. Save yourself the trip and go there instead. Or an Express Outlet. read more

This place can definitely be a hit or miss! Meaning I usually walk out spending over $100, or under $10 My first couple trips were great, and I found tons of awesome items from Express, Victoria's Secret, ASOS, etc. Really unique items, and closet staples that were great quality and SUPER cheap, around $10 or so a piece. My trip today did not yield many results- I was hoping for some fall sweaters, denim, and VS athletic pants. All the sweaters I liked had huge holes in them, a common theme in the whole sweater section. They only had black denim and slacks in my size, no blue or distressed denim. The athletic pants were not the material I had been able to find here before- thick, spandex-y athletic pants from Victoria's secret. Just the cotton kind that bags out and fades quickly. Good selection of VS bras for great prices, although I didn't find any I liked. All the thigh high boots were size 6-7 only. Dresses were so packed I couldn't even look though them. I ended up leaving with one pair of underwear for $3, and a pair of VS leggings for my sister for $9. I will probably still return since I've had good luck in the past, I just might wait a while for inventory to turn over read more

ERMAHGERD CLERTHES!!!!!! An entire warehouse filled with discount clothing?? Yes please! The brands of clothing that this place carries can vary, but I happened upon it when they had a large shipment of Express, The Limited, Victoria Secret and more. A lot of their items have imperfections such as stains, rips etc. The lighting in the warehouse is also very dim so you MUST try on everything and really look for the flaws. I made the mistake of buying a pair of jeans without trying them and later discovered that the pockets were cut out of them. I had some breezey groin action going on. I'll have to sew the pockets shut. I left with an entire trash bag of clothes for just over $100. Schweeet. read more

This place cracks me up. It's almost impossible to find, there is very little signage, it's certainly not in a typical retail area or building, and it feels like I'm doing something sneaky or going to a private club. I took a friend and her two daughters here once, and when one of the girls saw the door we were about enter through, she actually asked, "Mom, is this legal?" I laughed, because she just summed it all up in that one innocent little question! I would highly recommend finding someone you know who has been here before to take you your first time, or at least using your GPS. It won't even help you to ask directions from someone in the area, even if you can find someone to ask. Oh, and in the summer, I would shy away from going during the hottest days unless you feel like a good sweat - there's no A/C in the place and only one little door propped open. Don't ask me how, but somehow this all adds to the appeal of the place for me. That and the fact that my daughter and I have found some amazing deals. We found my daughter her homecoming dress here one year for $20. Wait... what? No way! Yes way. Oh, and a leather jacked for $40. Sweeeeeet! I have gotten sweaters for between $3 and $8 and tons of other amazing deals. We have seen different Limited Brands stuff, such as The Limited, Lane Bryant, Victoria's Secret, etc. Some items are damaged and some are not. The damaged items are clearly marked, and I think pretty much always on separate racks. Much of the time the damage is not visible on the outside of the garment. But they also have plenty that is not damaged. Also, the stuff is all new. This is not a used clothing or consignment shop. I would also like to add that I am writing this review against the recommendation of some of my friends, who want this place to remain a secret. But it's just too good of a place to not share it with my fellow Yelpers, who have led me to some really great finds in the past. Just promise you won't tell anyone else. read more

I came back again to see if Discount Fashion Warehouse had changed much since switching over from the MJR name. It is true that they no longer have an online storefront, which is very unfortunate for those who shopped online. The main difference I saw was that there is no longer a separate section for blemished items; this means you must VERY CAREFULLY INSPECT everything you select to buy, since there are no returns. Many items did have small rips, missing buttons or clasps, or dye marks. However, there were plenty of perfectly good items -- Express knits, Victoria's Secret Modal sweaters, the Body Shop tees, Lane Bryant pluses, Express Editor and Columnist slacks, Express and VS dresses. The bra selection for smaller bust sizes was somewhat limited, though there was a decent selection for larger and plus sizes, all priced around $9-15. Pants were around $9-12, sweaters/blouses between $8-12. I also saw several racks of men's Express dress shirts, as well as some jeans and slacks. There wasn't much in the way of spring/summer clothes since their stock is mostly clearing out the fall/winter collection, so there were plenty of items that would look great at a holiday party -- cowl-neck sweater dresses, knits, slacks, boots. There was a small selection of swimwear and sandals. My sisters in California had sent me with a long list of things they were hoping to find, so I spent about three and a half hours poring over everything in the XS-S sizes, and came away with a dress, seven sweaters, and a bra for $80 total. I could have gotten a lot more (barely glanced over the slacks and jeans) but I was pretty much exhausted after getting through the tops and dresses. If you have the patience and endurance, this is going to be a gold mine. Just remember that panning for gold involves a lot of sifting through dirt and shoveling gravel. read more

I guess this store doesn't always have men's clothes, but I was fortunate enough to find out about it after they came into a nice stock of menswear from Express. I purchased what almost amounts to an entirely new wardrobe for about $300 (this included some heavily discounted suits so I consider it a huge boon). Most of the items only have minor imperfections, but just about everything does have some imperfection so check items carefully and make sure you're okay with the blemish before purchasing. There are no returns. The women's section is ungodly huge, and stuff is cheap enough that they apparently had to limit women to 20 bras per visit. It's a good ways outside of town, so plan a trip accordingly; it's not the type of place you want to run back and forth to. read more

This place right here is going to be my downfall! Way too many great deals on name brand clothing! There is something for everyone, well almost - no childrens clothing. After deciding to chance a drive all the way to Plain City (really not as far as I thought it would be) and weaving through the industrial park, I finally made it. The signage is not that great, and the entry door sticks, which really threw me off. Honestly, the first five minutes inside made me think it was a waste of time, but then came all the bargains! It is exactly what it's name says, a wharehouse. Do not expect a department store shopping experience. What lacks in ambiance, will be made up with all the spectacular deals. You will need to do some picking and sorting, but it will be worth it. There are clothes in all sizes, small - plus size. A decent selection of shoes too, I found them to be more geared towards larger sizes. No mens shoes that I could see. The hours are not regular store hours, so go early. All my trips have been on Saturdays and they close in the evening. Also, I do not believe you can return items - I'm not 100% sure, so you may want to make sure you try everything on. Overall, it's great shopping if you want deals and don't mind sorting through clothes. I have never been disappointed on any of my trips, well worth the short drive to Plain City. read more

This place has everything. Dresses, pants, shorts, suits, sweaters, and a variety of tops for every body type. There's even a men's section that offers a selection from one of America's trendiest retailers. I found bras for NINE DOLLARS that normally retail for fifty-four. I visited here twice this month and am SO impressed with the staff here! They are helpful, proactive and attentive that Nordstrom and Macy's could learn from the customer service. This place is incredible. I discovered MJR about 4 months ago, and I can't say I have shopped anywhere else! You can't beat bras for $7, dress shirts for $10, and the CUTEST dresses for under $20. They have topnotch brands here, like the Limited and Victoria's Secret. It's really out-of-the-way and kind of creepy. Tis place is amazing. The brands that are available are the limited, express, VS, and lane Bryant. All sooo reasonably priced. Be sure to triple check every item you purchase. Be super picky about any damage you find. It could be northing, or it could be anywhere from a little hole in a seam (easy fix) to a box cutter tear down the middle of something (yikes). The new items are stocked daily. I walk out of there with perfectly undamaged items all the time. Just make sure you give yourself more than an hour to shop. Holy crap, I've found my new favorite store. It doesn't look like much from the outside & looks a little questionable inside too, but seriously, I have never seen such deals. A pair of jeans & 2 sweaters all from the the limited for $29? I would have paid more than $29 just for one sweater! As I was scouring the racks I became angry at myself. Why hadn't I tried this store sooner? Dresses that I had paid $40-50 on clearance just months ago were now only $18. I even saw dresses that were currently on the limited clearance for $55 at MJR for $18. I usually hate discount (ie TJ Maxx) shopping. I really don't like searching through racks to find my size or a specific brand. Here, everything is separated by brand, size, & often color. Looking for limited pants, look at one rack. I can understand the charm of this place, but will probably not be returning regularly. The deals can be spectacular ($10 Express pants; $8 Victoria's Secret bras, etc.). But the process of finding the deal is a little overwhelming. You have to inspect each item for flaws and because the lighting isn't great, that can be quite the arduous task. Additionally, the fitting rooms are dingy and even for a non-germophobe, slightly gross. Honestly, if you're a good bargain hunter, you could find similar deals by taking advantage of doubling up on coupons during sales at your favorite stores. This place is about 15 minutes outside of Columbus. It's basically a warehouse tucked away in an industrial parkway. I'm not sure where they get their merchandise from but they had a lot of stuff in there. Most of it was from Steve and Berry's and The Victoria's Secret Catalogue. The bra selection was really good. There was also some used clothing mixed in. Most of the merchandise was clothing but they did have a small selection of shoes and accessories (jewelry, sunglasses, purses etc.). You do have to invest some time to find the good stuff. I was there for about an hour and I left with 3 brand new Victoria's Secret bras for under $23 total, not too shabby! As far as mens clothing goes the selection was pretty bad. I didn't find anything for my boyfriend. They do get new shipments in weekly, though. IMO it's worth the dirve. read more

I AM SOOOOO SAD!!! I have shopped at MJR Sales online for over 10 years. Last year I could no longer get onto their website because it was "under construction". I now discover they changed their name. No biggie, I went to DFWh website to see if I could shop the awesome deals I was so familiar with having at MJR. Nope, no shopping allowed. I called and apparently there are no plans to add their online shopping back. This is truly tragic since yes, they had the BEST deals ever!!! New shipment came in today. Dan-ger-ous! I've been coming here for the last three years (when it was still MJR Sales) and I have to say it's one of Columbus's best kept secrets for bargain shoppers. Imagine walking into a warehouse (literally) to find rows upon rows of items at extremely discounted prices (think better than TJ Maxx or Marshalls) from retailers that call Columbus their corporate homes!! I found a skirt from The Limited that was still full price in the store for $9!! This is just one of the incredible finds I've come across. At this point, hardly a day goes by when there isn't something in my daily ensamble that I haven't purchased from there. They seem to have incorporated a lot more plus-sized and men's clothing to balance out the selection. Also, shoes, jewelry and accessories galore! Just be prepared to dig and pay attention to the quality of the items. Sometimes you may come across a busted zipper, a snag or a missing button, but usually nothing that a quick fix couldn't repair. This place is still awesome although I recommend not coming here on 90+ degree days even if it's at 9:30am as this place is still just a warehouse/sweatshop (aka no a/c, no fans). The last time I was here was January 2011 and it's still pretty much the same thing. They now carry Express (men's clothing too!), but it's not as plentiful as The Limited and Victoria's Secret sections. They also carry Lane Bryant if that's applicable to you. The bathing suit selection sucked which was odd being that it was June when I went - either missed the boat on that or the good stuff has yet to come. They have updated their dressing rooms with real doors now! The lighting in the dressing room and the warehouse itself SUCKS. It is important to triple check your clothing for stains, holes, rips, missing buttons, and jacked up zippers. Check at the racks, in the dressing room, and again outside the dressing rooms once you're making your final decisions (and even again at check out as I noticed a stain on a shirt I didn't see before and had them take it off my order as everything is final sale). On my most recent trip I left with a pair of Les Halles skinny jeans for $5 (retail for upwards of $150), your basic black work pants from The Limited for $12, a peachy pink blazer from The Limited for $18, and two tops for $9 and $10. While I left with only 5 things for under $60, I tried on at least 25 items to find 5 non faulty items that I like and will wear. It's easy to get carried away and buy crap just because it's cheap and sorta cute so using your editing skills comes in handy here! read more

I've been shopping at this store for about 8 years (they used to be in Dublin) and every time I get a compliment on clothing I usually answer, "Got it at MJR!" A few tips: - I don't think it's difficult to find at all, as long as you know it's a warehouse, not a store. It's right off Industrial Pkwy, which is right off 33. - Check items carefully. Most damaged items are marked "as is" on the tag so you'll know there's something wrong. Even then, the damaged part can be hard to find. Recently I scoured an "as is" Limited brand coat and found nothing. I finally took it to the cashier and asked her if she could find the flaw, and it was just the seam inside one pocket separating, but it did have one. - If at all possible, don't go on a Saturday. They're open until 7 Tues-Fri and I've found shoppers to be light during that last hour. Try checking it out the first time during a weekday so you know what to expect. - Go close the holidays (especially Christmas). They will have tons of items other than clothing and most of it will be marked WAY down the week or two before Christmas. I got a coffee maker, George Foreman grill and blankets this year as Christmas gifts. How much were the coffee maker and grill? $5 each! - Visit on Wednesday or Thursday. I shouldn't give away this secret, but they get their new shipments on Wednesday. The worst day for selection is Tuesday because it's been picked over on Saturday and they haven't received anything new. Also, one reviewer said that there was used clothing mixed in, which is not true. Most of the Limited and Victoria's Secret clothing is catalog returns so it has probably been tried on (maybe even has a makeup mark, or perhaps the person who returned it left the tags on it and wore it around town first) but absolutely everything is new. Just remember - no returns and the place is HOT in the summer. (Like pass out hot.) But it's still the best place in Columbus for a great deal. read more

My home away from home! MJR offers the perfect stop for any bargain shopper out there. The store offers name brand apparel and shoes at great prices. It can be a hit or miss when it has the best merchandise and you definitely have to look, but it is completely worth your time. While I love the store's clothing options, the staff is not friendly in the slightest. I've been to this particular location (in Dublin) 4 times now and have been disappointed in the staff each time. After selecting my items, I went to try on with my friend and the girl running the dressing rooms (Sara) was extremely rude. Then, began gossiping to a fellow co-worker about customers.
