I've been to this salon a few times before and had great service. Went in today at 5:30 and was immediately seated, didn't leave till 8:30. I was getting a pedicure and a gel manicure. The tech wasn't up to Pink standard in my opinion. Wearing what looked to be pajama pants and an unkept sweatshirt. I wasn't asked anything about the service for my feet. She was on auto pilot. Checking her phone and doing what she wanted. Under the nail and around the sides were not scraped out. Ultimately, I was "ok" with that portion. When we got to my nails, I was cut by her 3x. No apology. One site bleeding, still nothing. It's seemed as if I inconvenienced her asking for an artificial nail on one finger. My hands were never sprayed off or asked to be washed so my nails feel "bumpy" and some of the nails aren't painted well in the corners. $91 for a service I didn't really enjoy. If I go back, I'll be sure to make an appointment with Paula. She always does a wonderful job. read more

Came here for a classic mani/ pedi for me and SNS for my friend. Technicians were very sweet, and helpful in picking out colors. I did normal polish on nails and toes, and it lasted so long before getting even a chip in it! Looked beautiful as well! Only reason I give 4 stars instead of 5 is I was not given an option for my pedi, I would have loved a longer message or hot stones or some sort of upgrade! The place was pretty inside. But the workers here are half teenagers that were loud and flipping their flip flops all over the foor. Just annoying. I came here to get a pedicure and relax. The lady who did my nails tried to skip the massage part completely. When I called her out, she said after she painted she would massage me. Then doesn't even get my feet. Mainly just my legs. First time getting me nails done at Pink Nails, and I was impressed! I was in a bit of a time crunch so I didn't get to go to my usual nail spot, so I thought I'd give this one a chance since it was close-by. I think I'll be changing my nail spot now! I was greeted immediately and taken to a chair to begin my services. I was offered water and a small muffin (so thoughtful!) and I talked to my nail tech (Jimmy?) who helped me through some decisions with my nails. I decided to get my nails dipped which I never really understood what the hype was about, but getting my nails dipped here was a whole different experience! I LOVE the way my nails turned out. Pink Nails is a very nice salon with new massage chairs and good techs. However, the prices have gone up dramatically. They want over $90 for a gel fill-in / and pedicure. Not a new set but a fill in and that doesn't count the tip. That is just getting outrageous. I will have to look for a more affordable salon. I will miss this place. I've gotten gel done on my nails at multiple places for I think they use a special magical polish because the shine doesn't dull and the color doesn't chip. I went to Danny and he did a perfect job. The absolute WORST nail salon in Louisville. My nail salon is closed on Sundays & I broke a nail this weekend, so I decided to pop in to have it fixed. I had never been here before and was shocked. The owner actually did my broken nail and it is SO lumpy. It does not match my nails at all. How can you let a customer leave with nails that don't match? He then went on and started painting over my other perfectly fine nails. Like are you kidding me? So now I have two TERRIBLE looking nails. They are so lumpy. They look awful. This is definitely a 5 star place. The women are so sweet and nice. They're funny with a good sense of humor. They actually talk to you in english. It's a family friendly nail salon. They actually listen and give you what you want. It's very clean and smells really good. They also massage your feet when you get mani/pedi's with a massager. It's only $35 for a mani/pedi but $55 if you get shellac. They clean out the pedi stations after every customer and use disposable flip flops for your feet. The pedi chairs are extremely cumfortable. I go here all the time and I am never disappointed. I recommend this to every woman. And men they have a TV that plays sports for you while your women are getting pampered. A Mani Pedi is $35. Which is crazy awesome. For shellac, it was only $15 more. However, I won't be coming back because I did not like the massage. My favorite part of a pedicure is a 10 to 15 minute leg massage. With HANDS and fingers. This place puts a vibrator on their hand and quickly goes up and down your leg for three minutes. I hated it! I felt my leg bone vibrating. The technician kept laughing and saying I needed to relax, and I told her I did not like the vibrator. She also made multiple negative comments about the amount of dry skin and cuticles I had. Umm that's why I'm here so don't make me feel like I need to exfoliate at home before coming here to pay you to do so? I still tipped her 20% but I do not like negative comments when I just gave you $60 to have a vibrator on my leg for three minutes. Great prices but not a great experience. Also she did get quite a bit of red polish on The skin around my big toes which was very noticeable and I had to ask her to clean it up after my manicure. That's a big no no. read more

Went to Pink Nails to get a pedicure, when l sat down a worker informed me that they would charge an additional $5.00 to remove my gel polish. Even though that news wasn't exciting, l said that l would go ahead and continue with my service. While sitting there, l was on a phone conversation with a friend and told her the new change in pricing and she stating that many salons are doing that now. Again, no huge deal! My mother calls and I am engaging in phone conversation with her, l mention the fee. The lady who informed of the fee goes and gets her manager, brings her manager over the pedicure chair and they both make the choice to start yelling at me! Claiming that l was complaining too much regarding the fee and that if l didn't like the fee l could get out. Mind you, my mother is hearing this entire exchange! Needless to say, l walked out without finishing my services! They were completely unprofessional! It was not their place to tell me that l was "complaining too much" nor was it their place to tell me what l could complain about on my phone. I will not be returning to this establishment and l don't recommend that anyone does. read more

I was so pleased with my experience yesterday morning! I has expected quite a long wait, but was surprised to find only one other person ahead of me when I got there shortly after they opened. I was immediately taken back to a pedicure chair where the tech was thorough and really took her time. I really appreciated that! The same tech did my shellac manicure and again, she took her time. It was by far the best manicure I've had in a long time. By no means is this salon the fanciest, but they definitely take pride in their work and it shows. Short wait, but little attention. Me and a friend came Sunday afternoon, one pedicurist, 2 manicurists on duty so only one person at a time could get a pedicure and like wise for the manicure. Luckily their pedicure chairs are massagers so your relaxed. My pedicure was lovely despite my wait, the technician seemed to have shaky hands but didn't affect my color or massage. My manicurist was another story, he clearly had money on the football game cause he kept stopping during my manicure and set to refresh his phone websites (a gambling site, and espn game scores) and to look back at the TV for football live. It was my first time getting acrylics so I didn't really know what to expect but I know that the additive nail should be fully attached to your nail before you move on! He kept rushing both me and my guest when we were at his station. And didn't seem to care much for details or correcting mistakes. On my way back to the drying station my thumb nail got chipped so I went back to him to have it corrected and he seemed like I bothered him and carelessly just added another coat instead of taking it off and not cause a bump (see photo for end result) However, both a full set and a pedicure was $50, which is cheap in my book and aside from my thumb my acrylics seem okay( again 1st timer) . Maybe this place is better on a week day, and I'll try it next time, but my first experience wasn't the best. Till then, I'll keep looking for a go-to nail salon. read more

I've been to Pink Nails many times. Most times they do an excellent job on manis and pedis but they do train techs, so you never know what you're going to get. The waits can be long, really long, even though they tell you, it will be 20 minutes or something like that, enough to keep you waiting, but the wait is longer than they promised. The owners have young children they bring to the place. They're cute, but do you really want kids around when you're there to relax? They are always busy and crowded. They have been understaffed for years. The owner Danny is nice but gets lazy after while. He will stop doing your nails to go have a bite to eat or take a smoke break which is so rude and unprofessional. He told me one evening that he didn't have a break all day and that he needed food. That is not my problem. This is your business you have a right to schedule a break, he doesn't because Him and his wife are greedy for money. They are not sanitary and use the same tools without disinfecting them. I watched him use the same tools on a ladies feet and put them right on someone else's hands. I've been going to Pink Nails for several years. I have received fairly good service most of the time. I setup appointments with Danny and still have to wait, which is not a good thing. The appt. is also at 10:00 AM on Saturday mornings, which is the opening time and still have to wait. My very first pedicure was with Lynn and it was the best manicure that I've ever received.
