I walked in with my daughter, both of us requested gel polish changes. (Should have been quick & easy.) They sat us down a few chairs apart and I was handed a book of color choices. Twenty minutes later, she's getting her nails done and I'm still waiting. I stand up and tell her that they haven't started on me yet and she'll have to wait on me. (Hoping someone gets the hint.) Nope. A woman walks in without an appointment, sits down next to me, and they start doing her nails. Been coming here for the longest time! My girl Jenny did my nails and they are so amazing for the winter. She does 3D nail art as well! Since the holidays are around I got acrylics. Jenny did snow flakes on them and they look so professionally done I had so many compliments on them. every single person there has at-least done my nails as well and they are all so good! worst experience I have had getting my nails done in years. The tips put on my nails were too small and did not even cover my nail. I asked for coffin shape. None of my nails are shaped the same. The lady took chunks out of my fingers and cuticles. Another man stepped in and tried to fix everything. He should have taken everything off of my nails and started all over. Their establishment sign and website state they close at 8pm. We walked in at 7:20 and I was told they wouldn't see us because they see the last customer at 7:00. If that's the case, then you close at 7:00, not 8:00p. We just needed our nails done which would have been more than enough time to do prior to 8:00p. I drove 15 minutes to come there based on the website's hours of business. It's just a poor business approach and certainly a way to lose future customers. read more

Finally getting around to posting my review on Luxe Nail Bar but I wanted to go more than once to make sure my review was accurate. I've loved both of my experiences at Luxe! The salon is clean and very comfortable to be in, and I've been able to walk in twice with pictures of what I want and walk out with beautiful nails! I've done the dip powder with acrylic extensions to get the shapes I've wanted, and each time, my nails stayed looking pristine (except for the growth) for at least 4 weeks! Each nail artist I've had was professional, quick, and did my nails with great care and detail. I also feel like the prices here are super competitive with the other nail salons around. Check in was fairly easy and the wait was very short. Had a pedicure and felt like the person performing was polite and did a decent job. Very basic pedicure, but they talked me into the heel treatment. I left with product still on my feet making them slimy and honestly the calluses don't feel any differently. Acceptable job, but not one I'd recommend if you're looking for a spa like experience. You are unable to tip on a card, so bring cash. read more

Today I brought my husband to the nail shop with me. Typically I am thrilled with luxe. Today I walked out frustrated as I requested a luxe pedicure for myself and my husband only to find out I was charged for a spa pedicure which is an additional $15 more. I don't mind to pay for services received, but it should have been made clear what service we were receiving. I also asked for a gel pedicure and didn't receive it. I won't be back for a pedicure, that's for sure. I'll continue to come for nail services but will be a bit more open to trying other nail shops from time to time. read more

I really wanted to like this salon as it is so very close to my home. But after two visits, I will not be returning. My first visit was without an appointment, and I totally understood having to wait a bit. When I was finally seated for my pedicure, the tech was finishing up a gentleman's pedicure 2 seats down. I watched carefully (I am a nurse and am very picky about hygiene practices in nail salons) and I was almost 90% sure that the nail tech brought the same instruments to my station. I never saw an autoclave packet or never saw her unwrap new instruments. In all fairness, the pedicure was a good one, and lasted well. I decided to reserve writing a review until after a second visit, where I was going to say something if I felt that non-sterilized instruments were used on me. Today, I called ahead and was given an appointment at 5: 30. The gentleman I spoke with informed me that, " Jessica left to pick up a sick child but we have plenty to help you, we are not busy, come at 5: 30. " That was fine with me. I arrived at 5: 25 and a gentleman (his voice sounded like that of the person with whom I had spoken on the phone) looks up from working on lady's fingernails and says, "Do you have an appointment?" I told him "yes." He looks at the appointment book and tells me that it isn't in the book and that I must have spoken with "the lady." I informed him that I had actually spoken with a man. He tells me (quite loudly and rudely) that there will be a 45 minute wait. Needless to say, I left. I cannot believe how I was treated. Beware, an appointment at this place means nothing. read more

Today was my last day walking into this establishment. I have been a consistent customer who gets longer nails and spends at least $120 per visit. I made an appointment like I usually do, arrive at my 2PM only to be asked to come back at 5:30PM or another day, as if i had nothing better to do or no other commitments. At this point if my appointment could not have been kept, the establishment should've reached out to me, the customer, before I arrived for my scheduled appointment. Not to mention, I spent over $30 in a Lyft to get there for said appointment. The first and last visit. It seems to be a great place for gel and acrylics and not so much for people who like their nails. I wanted a manicure and I guess because I don't use color polish it was assumed I wanted a quickie manicure. It was fast alright but my nails were in better shape before I went in. I also wished I had thought to look at other reviews. I have three cuticles that are still bleeding and are going to leave some very unattractive scabs on my fingers. Two of my nails have cotton fibers IN THE POLISH and I have pieces of ragged skin around my cuticles. The nails are not even shaped. At one point she cut me so deep I cried out. I have never had such an experience. I was so hurt and horrified that I paid and got the heck out. I know I should have said something to them but I was so shocked I didn't have the words. It wasn't until I got home and really looked at my hands to realize how bad of an experience it was. This has been my spot for a long time and I will never go anywhere else ever after that sorry excuse of a nail salon experience at (not so) Pretty Nails which I tried just because I didn't have time to drive down here. The people here are at Luxe have always been so nice and their work is quality. Before my June wedding, I came here to get my mani - pedi and my nails never chipped or faded or came off despite being in the water for 2 weeks and it lasted months after. Although the original owners for this place are gone, the new owners maintained the high quality of service. $55 for a gel pedicure is well worth it! Shout out to Ty for my mani.
