I then sent another one a couple days later and only got the response "I will reach out to the warehouse to have them ship this ASAP". 2 weeks later and the package still is not in the mail. I was charged for the items and I am not sure I will ever get them. What makes it worse is the lack of communication via the only form of communication- email.

Pricing is an issue as obviously all customers know Amazon and online retainers of preference (eCommerce offers tons of membership, loyalty and affiliate shopping, wider selection, Walmart offers next day delivery free to metro NYC, etc.) thus seeing the prices like Melissa & Doug's Frozen Treats for $34 here vs $19 online or Wooden Sushi set for $26 vs $15 online are a problem. Likely customers are from nearby StuyTown or working at the many local medical institutions and businesses in Kips Bay thus of normal incomes thus likely to do as such. The staff visibily disprefer children play for beyond 30mins else they'll actively suggest one leave. It's likely to quell previous problem situations and to maintain an open floor space devoid of children. It's good thus for a quick blow through without the kids to get ideas then to move onto better priced retailers as most customers seen while there seemingly came in to spectate then cruise out without purchase. There're event spaces in the rear, namely a doored room of about 80 ft2 and the front area which can be closed to retail and converted to a large sitting area where the kids playareas are easily moved and removed. Posted are a schedule of events along with flyer advertising from area children's-related businesses.

They embarrassed me at a party where I gave what I thought was a very nice gift... BUT when your gift has a price tag on it you look tacky and your gift looks cheap. If I wanted a cheap gift I would have bought something at Walmart. That is how my gift was perceived when it was open. WTF where is the customer service here. Gift Wrapping means it is a "gift" and that means I dO not want a price tag. Get your act together.

I was surprised by the ton of Sanrio plushies, dolls, stationary, and other paraphernalia, including food-related items. I knew Sanrio was making a come back, though it's like Hello Kitty central inside this store in particular. I've dropped by their locations to pick up a drink or snack since they are more reasonably priced than many cafes and convenience stores in the neighborhood, though their snack/food prices are a little higher than going to an Asian grocery. In general these type of stores there's not a lot of staff interaction though I will say this one had someone welcoming at the door. The reason for a slightly lower rating though is since there seems to be a proliferation of these stores that provide kinda useful things but really are close to single use and create a lot of unnecessary trash (I'm looking at you Five Below and fast fashion). These are easy and cheap conveniences and entertainment, though I question the environmental impact. Of course I'm not speaking from a place above reproach, I'm surely a contributor to this as well, it's just been on my mind recently.
