We used the studio again this year for our Christmas cards and family photography session and I just can't give the full 5 stars this time ;-( Although the pictures were still really good and I don't think we could beat the quality and price balance anywhere around, we got a little nervous when we went to the old location and were informed they had closed business! Especially since one of our dogs had passed away since the last session, we really wanted to order a few of last year's pictures for memories and we got really scared that all the memory pics of our little one were gone forever. The place next door told us that Pink Parrot had gone out of business, and lucky for us a neighbor told us a couple days later that they had just moved to a downtown Naperville better location! I wish there had been some kind of sign on the door or window that told us that, and we could have felt a lot better about the whole situation. Upon going on the website we quickly found the new location and had a great shoot, but i think they are a little bit understaffed as it was kind of difficult to get ahold of someone to book an appointment, but we did book after about a week of trying. Very worthwhile wait, I still would not recommend any other studio more highly for quality of work and style. The new location had a very home-y feel to it, and we just loved the fireplace backdrop. We were able to order some of our last year's photos of our lost baby too, which just made the experience so much better! This year we also got some photo greeting cards, and a photo handbag. I get so many compliments on this purse it's not even funny! Again, we will be back- and I think our friends are going to use Candace for their wedding photographer too! read more

Thrilled! That's the best way I can describe my experience with the studio as a whole. I loved how personal she made the entire process from my initial appointment to picking out my pictures. From start to finish the process was smooth, professional, and just as promised my expectations were greatly surpassed. Two paws way up! The studio was beautifull and had such a classy feel to it with the hardwood floors, fire place, and all the art made it feel like it was an art gallery. I just loved the pink "boutique" vibe this place gives off, and how clean it smell even though I know they have a lot of pets in and out. Our photos were exceptional and this paper they got printed on is unlike anything I have ever seen before in my life. I mean it's this irridescent, metallic, vibrant shiny paper that makes the colors pop and the picture look 3-D. We've gone three years in a row, and I think they need to hire someone to answer the phone though because it's sometimes hard to book your appointment. But, it their defense, busy means demand and I know they are in high demand so personally I don't mind the wait because I have yet to find any photographer anywhere that compares! I just love being able to work with someone who is truly gifted, whose talent and artistic ability flow from every inch of their being, Candace Zynda is one of those people. She is creative and has passion and experience for what she loves to do- and what she loves to do is apparent when she works with you and your pet. I couldn't believe how she interacted with my little Terra, I was so impressed how natural the pictures turned out. Candace's down to earth, artistic, and personable personality and style allowed me to feel confident in working with a real artist, and not just some basic snapshot "portrait photographer." I cannot encourage you enough to check out her work and use her if you really want something special and if you appreciate real art. Consumer Beware!!! So unprofessional!! I should have known when I tried to stop in and book an appointment and noone was there during posted hours. Sitting was sloppy with cheap tacky sets. The photographer was imodestly attired and disorganized. She took alot of pictures but very few were worth a second look. I was suprised that the photo's came out more like the snap shots I've done at home. The perk was the editing. I ordered a few prints for holiday cardsand was told they would be in in 2 weeks. After 3 weeks I started calling and 4 weeks I started e-mailing and then after no contact I started dropping by the shop only to find noone there. By the time I was able to get my prints I had already mailed out different cards because I wasn't sure if I would get them before christmas. What a nightmare! read more

Having used several other studios in the past for my dogs I think I'm a pretty good judge of pet photography studios and that should only give you a better feel for how great this place is. The work was amazing, the photographer was great, and the pictures surpassed my expectations. The only downside was the noise distractions from the business next door. Although the owner, assured me that there was no affiliation with the grooming shop of horrors next door it was an unsettling feeling hearing obscenities being screamed at dogs through the walls, especially since out of convenience I took my girlfriend's dog there to be groomed just a few hours before hand. I strongly recommend this studio but also recommend perhaps a session in your home to avoid dealing with the unpleasant place next door. read more

I have worked with Candace from Pink Parrot on a personal level, and on a business level. She is so easy to work with and her pictures are just phenomenal. I would highly recommend her to anyone who would like photos of their animals. The studio has classy hardwood floors and quality backdrops and props. The turn-around time is faster than any other studio I have used, and the quality was amazing. But what is really awesome and convenient is that she will bring the studio to you. And I mean, she brings the whole studio! She will bring multiple backdrops, props and all kinds of state of the art photography equipment to make sure that your photos are top notch. 10 stars for Candace Zynda and Pink Parrot! read more

I wanted a unique gift for my fiance (who's kids ARE her dogs) and searched for a pet photographer. After finding many so-so & so-called "pet photographers" I found Candice! Her work stuck me immediately and she truely captured the spirit and personality of the dogs! They are usually really agressive towards most everybody and I warned her, next thing you know they were in her lap licking her face! Dogs can sense things about people, they showed their true personalities in the pictures she took. My fiance loved the pictures and we will soon be going back to this place for our engagement photos and (hopefully) wedding pictures too. I went here to get some picture's taken for my boyfriend with his dog, they turned out to be his favorite present ever! The pictures came out absolutely adorable. She did a great job catching the character of his dog (trust me, he's got a lot of it!), as well as being able to keep his attention, something that is actually very difficult. I'm already planning to take him back again and have more done with sports themed jersey's, an idea I got from Candace. She's very talented and incredibly nice. I recommend Pink Parrot to everyone, including my mother who's just as happy as I am with her experience! You won't be disappointed. read more

I got a great referal to this place but how did you guys get pictures done I have gone by three times in the last two weeks and there is never anyone there. I went to the neighbors and she recommended I call but said she hasn't seen here since Christmas. If she's so great why isn't she ever open? I left a voice mail and no one called me back so made an appointment down the street somewhere else they seemed happy for my business. I just don't understand why they would make it so hard for me to give them my business. :( read more

This is a lovely, lovely, little shop with such a fabulous vibe to it. Maybe it was the pink paint, (I've realized I'm partial to pink striped walls now). It feels like you are walking into a victoria's secret bag when you walk in the front door. Awesome photography! Loved the studio, the photographer was very professional, polite and patient and her work is very unique. The studio was clean, with a nice decor.
