After speaking with several training programs, visiting some, and prayerfully considering what the right choice should be Madi Potts helped make our choice easy. Before we would trust anyone with our little 7.5 lb boy, we had to get a sense of one's heart. My husband and I were not looking for someone who could simply "control dogs" or "make them obey commands". We wanted someone who had a heart for dogs to have better lives with structure, less fear, and longevity due to possibilities that came with what training offered. My first inquiry call with Madi was pretty long, if I recall right. She was patient, understanding of my many questions, and willing to talk as long as I needed to feel she was safe to go to next step with. We started with a 90 min at home training session to see first hand and understand how she would personally be as a trainer with Beans. That training was stressful and also a relief as we believed we found the right person to entrust our boy to. When the day came for him to be picked up, both my husband and I were crying. It wasn't just about trusting a new person to take care of Beans, it was also the resurfaced grief of losing our whippet girl of 11 years just a few months prior. The "what ifs" where overwhelming, but we agreed we were moving forward. Madi also saw our "anguish" if you want to call it that. She quickly said she typically doesn't give an update for the first 24-48 hours but she would update us that evening. To her word, we got a picture of beans at the park and our hearts settled a bit. Throughout the two weeks, Madi was wonderful about keeping us up to date and answering questions as needed or as we annoyed her (lol we might have been a little over the top haha) She never hesitated to share and ensure our boy was learning, and struggling in some areas, but overall doing great. Now that he is back with us, we have already had one of our follow up appointments and are so thankful Madi was who helped us with Beans. He was so happy to see her and made her say goodbye before leaving (even though he was supposed to "stay", lol). Training is still a ongoing work daily, Beans still doesn't love his crate but is accepting he is safe and it's ok to not see us 24/7 (Italian greyhounds are Velcro dogs to the max!) This was an emotional, time, and financial investment that we continue to place priority on. I know many will say do not board and train an Iggy, but for our family, giving him and us the tools to have a successful life together was important. We did our due diligence and don't regret our decision. Actually we are extremely grateful we found Madi and Suburban K9. When she left after our last follow up session she looked at Beans, gave him a scratch and said "I love you". I have no doubt she does, for that I am thankful. It is my hope everyone will find someone as knowledgeable and kind hearted toward an animals as Madi is. Thank you Suburban K9 for helping us learn puppy manners with Madi. We are forever grateful. They follow all the silly little instructions you leave them to help your pet feel more comfortable while you are gone. They will also set out your trash, water your flowers and bring in your mail. They are fantastic. We won't ever use anyone else for our "furry kids".

As Heath got older, he started having some reactive issues with certain dogs. Instead of turning us away, the team went above and beyond to work with us. They tried different programs and truly took the time to understand what he needed. Eventually, we found the perfect fit with their solo play option, where he gets one-on-one time with staff throughout the day and he is thriving! It means so much to us that they didn't give up on him and instead created a solution that works for everyone. My company is actually moving in the opposite direction, which means a longer drive for us but there's no question we'll continue bringing Heath here. That's how much we trust and appreciate this team. Every single staff member is amazing, caring, and dedicated. We are so grateful for everything they do!

Priscilla has also boarded our dogs many times, including one time for over 15 days straight. there's nobody else I would trust with my dogs other than Priscilla. she loves them like her own, and truly CARES about their wellbeing. Every single appointment we have had with Dr. Gilham has been truly awful, she does not read our pets history, has misdiagnosed her, claimed she had visible cancer masses then immediately tested her (surprise, they weren't cancerous) and pushed medications that our dog was allergic to that she previously prescribed. However, the appointments we have had with Dr. Stone have been truly incredible. She will get on the floor with your dog and shower them with love and attention and takes all of your concerns into consideration. She is truly amazing and I adore the care she gives to our animals. Dr. Lexi Meverden is newer to us but has been truly amazing as well. I cannot say enough good things about her or Dr. Gilbertson.

Went to fill the heartworm medicine and Red Barn DECLINED BOTH simply because ONLY ONE of them was due for heartworm test next month????? Just had them in on Feb. 27th for wellness exams and shots. Brought TWO fecal samples. Why didn't they test then like every other vet? The answer is because this way they could force us in again and their prices have increased. I didn't even realize they weren't done. WHY DID I GET TWO 12 MTH. SCRIPTS FOR INTERCEPTOR if they weren't done??? Who the heck do they think they are canceling BOTH scripts when only one dog is due? Who does that? This office "manager" and front office girls could give a crap about the pets. What were they going to do I was going to bring my one dog in and then they suddenly would give me two prescriptions one for each dog or were they going to force me to bring both in? I wouldn't go back to this place if you paid me in 10 months from April 2023 to February 2024 I spent over $3,800 with them. They should get rid of these women who could give a darn about the pets and get vet techs for the front office like all the other vets do. They're cheaper, less freaking attitude, and they love animals. This so-called office manager didn't comply when I requested the doctor call me and I could think of quite a few different ways she could handle this so much better which would have stayed within the guidelines of Red Barn but most importantly would have kept my pets heartworm medicine!!!!!! FOLLOW UP NOW 5 DAYS LATER I just went on to take screenshots of my 12-month prescriptions and I see that they just issued one month for both dogs without calling me because they saw one of the reviews I left and this way they could write that they do care about the animals. What a joke!!! How the heck was I supposed to know the scripts were even there. They're just trying to cover their butts. Be careful if you go here honestly find a different vet there's so many good ones out there I simply went to them because they were conveniently close which was a big big mistake. The nickel dime you to death. Make sure when you bring in fecal samples they do something with them. Also, just talked to Covetrus and they were told that both of my dogs were due for heartworm testing which is a blatant lie.
