making a little update to my review based on some info another yelper shared with me... pinkberry *IS* considered yogurt by the FDA and the California Department of Food & Agriculture afterall. It is a relatively new ruling, just in the past few years even though Pinkberry has been around in other parts of the country for a long time. again, my point to fellow yelpers and readers is that Pinkberry doesn't taste sweet or like what most people expect frozen yogurt to taste like. it's sour, like yogurt. so just check your expectations so you know what you're going in for and you'll be all set! read more

Today is National Frozen Yogurt day!!!! I came to Pinkberry today & yesterday and tried every single flavor! Right now, the flavors are: tart original, mango (dairy free), grapefruit, pomegranate, chocolate hazelnut, and peanut butter. Pinkberry is easily my favorite frozen yogurt place. Unlike other frozen yogurt places, it isn't self serve & you can't go and eat as many flavor samples as you'd like without asking permission. You also cannot add toppings on by yourself. The prices are standard for a mini, small, medium or large unlike other frozen yogurt places that weigh your cup. The workers there add the toppings for you (you get unlimited options on toppings). Toppings include: waffle cookie, organic gummy bears with sugar on them, mango or strawberry popping boba, cheesecake bits, brownie bits, yogurt chips, blueberries, raspberries, strawberries, kiwi, pineapple, mango, raspberry clusters, almonds, granola, nutella (that's a new 1!-by the way national nutella day was this past week). I love that the gummy bears are higher quality with a nice, not overly chewy texture. The raspberries I had today were fresh and the flavors of the froyos don't taste artificial like they do @ many other spots. My favorite was chocolate hazelnut (tastes like nutella & isn't tart like the original) and grapefruit. Grapefruit tasted like the real fruit and was not overly sweet. It was extremely refreshing tasting. The chocolate hazelnut was creamy and ice cream-like in flavor. I've been to some places that add chocolate to the original tart flavor & it's pretty horrible. Pomegranate was my least favorite because it tastes like Yoplait yogurt to me & I eat that way too often to enjoy it outside of home. God Pinkberry, you make it so easy or me to dislike you. I've never been a fan of the PB but had an intense craving for fro yo last week. The plan was to go elsewhere but I couldn't find at my main fro yo place so I went to Pinkberry. I'm still annoyed by the whole experience. First off, the parking sucks. I would love to know whomever the genius was that designed the parking lot because I curse it every single time I drive into the shopping center. Second, there was a line....out the frickin door.....at 8pm. Say what? Is it a free crack giveaway or something? Where's everyone coming from?? Third, it's over five bones for a small cup of fro yo. Sometimes I get all commitphobe on fro yo and I just want a little taste, not a whole cup. Seeing that Pinkberry is not self serve this doesn't bode well for me. While the green tea fro yo is bomb, it's not $5 bomb. The employees are really sweet though which kind of makes it difficult to hate them so much but smiling faces and dazzling personalities don't make up for the robbery Pinkberry has going on. read more

My first Pinkberry experience was great, actually very good. My "twirler" introduced herself (wonderful service!) and asked if I had ever been to Pinkberry before. I said no. She then told me about Pinkberry and how they originated in California. She went on a bit more about the store, why it is healthier than other yogurts, why the coconut yogurt can not be fat free due to natural fats in the fruit, how to order and what to add. I was very impressed with such a thorough description and happy to beat the rush with a line out the door. I went simple, as a Pinkberry virgin might, with a small "original" with Kiwi, Raspberries and Blackberries. Wow!! This stuff was really really good. As I was in line to pay, the register attendant (I am still curious what HER creative title was) asked if I had ever tried the Mango yogurt. Nope, but I was intrigued. She gave me a little cup sample of the mango to try as I walked out the door and it was incredible. The interior was very sleak, modern furniture and tables, shiny acrylic walls, bright fresh colors, very appealing and I'm sure will be extremely popular with the high schoolies getting out in a few weeks for summer. I've been waiting for businesses to move into the architecturally savvy 1000 Colorado Blvd. Building and I'm happy to see a business with such a design sense. Props to keeping the design integrity going. I will be back again. I'm afraid of how hooked my girlfriend will be to this cup of goody goodness. This is not a "what's better, ice cream or frozen yogurt?" issue. When I want ice cream, I go to Bonnie Brae. When I want something light and refreshing, and not overly sweet, I go to Pinkberry. My daughter turned me on to Pinkberry in New York City and I'm happy that they've expanded to our fair city. My favorite is the regular yogurt topped with either fresh raspberries and kiwi. If I'm really going for it I add chocolate chips and Capt'n Crunch. The latter should NOT be considered a healthful treat, but it is delicious. Plan extra time as the lines since the opening last week have been long. Pinkberrians (the ones scooping your tasty treat) must be pumped up with happy drugs before opening the doors each day. They still only are at three stars. I went in again. Lets see, I waited in 90+ degree weather....for 20 minutes (which seems like an hour, btw) to pay $6 for this fro-yo. Still am hooked on the Mango (they had a promotional watermelon flavor, which wasn't to my taste) Still have good service though- and a good product....just SPEED it UP! Oh, and by the way, to those who order the "mini" cups (seriously, like an ounce), you make me angry. Why wait in line for that? Why hold up the line? Best fro-yo in Denver. I recently got back from a year working in South Korea. In South Korea they have a fro-yo chain called Red Mango that allegedly Pinkberry was based on. However, Pinkberry is much better than Red Mango. It is light and tart (which I love). Now they have more flavors. The coconut is awesome. Watermelon will be the summer flavor and I can't wait to try it. I know my friend is very sad that the green tea flavor is no longer on the menu. I am sad that this store doesn't have chestnuts as a topping (like the one's in CA have) but other than that this place is great. So glad we finally got one in CO! Please do wear a mask when you enter as you will be greeted by staff who is wearing a mask and gloves for your safety. I most appreciated the cleanliness of the establishment, it was so bright and sparkly clean. They have specific flavors available each day, dairy and non-dairy. The staff behind the counter will serve you and prepare your treat. On this visit, my family and I chose the plain frozen yogurt flavor. The staff asks for your toppings and is not shy with them. I chose candied pecans, cinnamon graham cracker crumbs, chocolate chips, strawberries and topped with whipped cream! They also had a waffle cookie that I could add for taste and for looks. It was very yummy and filling. I will definitely return to this place again. Even though this is not self serve like majority of the other yogurt places, it's the great tasting consistency in the yogurt that you're paying for. All the flavors taste just like they're description and does not taste like ice cream. The prices are already set which are reasonable and you can ask to have as many toppings your heart desires. The original is probably their most popular but you can't go wrong with the other ones. I recommend topping it off with a waffle. The interior is modern and very clean. Service has been consistent and quality has always been there. The only complaint is that they need more locations throughout. I've been putting off a review on this place for far too long but honestly I'm shocked at the consistency of this place it always is clean the staff are friendly and amazing, and not to mention the price for frozen yogurt is always stable and might I say cheap! The only downside to this store is that the flavors change seasonally so your favorite flavor might not always be there! However you can always find something delicious there, meaning they have no bad flavors in my opinion! All of them are amazing and just the right amount of sweetness not to mention low cal for such a delicious frozen treat! One last tidbit, their dairy free selection is amazing! It's almost all coconut based without the coconut flavor whilst still being the same texture and consistency as regular frozen yogurt! I visited this location last week and it was amazing. I'm halfway through my countrywide Pinkberry sampling and this location was the best so far, solely due to the performance of the young employees who made my experience exquisite. Compared to the Arlington, TX location this place was a step up in all the major quality departments, which include Ambiance, Natural Lighting, Cleanliness, Topping Selection, Yogurt Mouthfeel, Boba Poppability, Creaminess of Milk, among many more. Pinkberry is something I wished was in Columbus. We *had* to go since we ate lunch nearby, and there was no line (which, according to my brother's wife, was a sign we had to go NOW). As we continue our frozen yogurt exploration, our next stop was here. I was pretty excited to try it out since a friend had mentioned how awesome it was. Maybe it was one of those situations where you expect a lot, then get let down...but it wasn't that great IMHO. Never realized how much the self taste test phase meant to me until it was taken away. This is the first fro-yo place where we have been to where they have full service. Good news is that it likely is kept cleaner, but then you kind of feel a bit bad asking to taste more than a couple...and you don't get to create your own unique concoction and blend of flavors. :( I really missed this whole part of the experience. The other difference here than most other places is the pricing. They have two prices after you select your size and flavor(s). One price for just yogurt and then another price if you want to add toppings. Once again toppings are controlled by the server, but it is for as many toppings that fit comfortably in your container. So the good thing is, if you like the heavier toppings you won't pay any more than the lighter toppings. :). We are not topping folks so we did not try the toppings. The service was excellent, with lots of good energy. The yogurt was very flavorful; however, probably due to none of it being lower or "no sugar"...and probably higher on the tasty "fat" side. I did not look this information up, so I can't confirm it....but it definitely had more of a creamier feel to it...and lots of fun yummy flavors to choose from. Fresh and delicious! When we got there the line was out the door and went down the sidewalk... it was like a grand opening! I couldn't believe it. I thought that maybe they put crack in their yogurt. After having it I can see why. Being a first timer the girl that helped was helpful and really nice. I tried the pomegranate with kiwi, blueberries, mochi, granola, strawberries and raspberries.... Pinkberry is a nice change of pace from having way too much DQ and Coldstone over the summer, when you're done having Fro-Yo you don't feel as 'weighed down' as you do having finished a Blizzard. I was SO stoked to find out there was a Pinkberry near me because it was one of my go-to spots when I lived in California. Coming here feels like home! I'm not into the super-sweet chocolate or cake batter flavors, save those for ice cream. So Pinkberry is my kind of frozen yogurt. Tart and fruity, with plenty of topping choices! My favorite here is always the original, but mango and pomegranate are great options too. I usually do half and half on the yogurt to get the best of both worlds! Love that they have so many options for fresh fruit (love that kiwi!). Also I feel like their toppings look more clean and fresh behind that case with only the staff handling them, since this isn't a DIY yogurt experience. The less people digging into my toppings, the better. The staff was awesome when I came in. They were offering a deal for a to-go pints for only $5 (usually $10.95). And they were so excited on the lemon flavor that they totally sold me on it and I had to take it home. They even offered to put it in a bag on ice for me for the drive home! Never been offered that anywhere else before! Great customer service. (You can also getting toppings to go as well and the handy container tells you the best way to store everything.) Yup, Pinkberry is STILL the best! My sweetie and I have been to just about every froyo place in town (Yogurtland, Red Mango, Froyozone, et al) and Pinkberry trumps EVERY single one of them. We always gladly make the drive down to Pinkberry (either 16th Street or Colorado Blvd.) whenever we can. What's their secret? The FRESH real fruit toppings. The REAL frozen yogurt (not artificial) that tastes so good you won't believe it's fat free. The BEST froyo flavors. The luscious dry toppings (my baby especially likes the mochi). Prices are reasonable too. While the "imitators" are charging you by the weight with their gluttonous sized cups and encouraging you to indulge by piling on a mountain of toppings, Pinkberry charges a flat rate by size and you can get as little (mini) or as much as you want and it's relatively healthy. If I can knock them for anything it would have to be the somewhat limited selection of flavors on the menu (usually about 6) at any given time. Yogurtland and others may offer much more in terms of selection but the simple fact is NOBODY and I mean NOBODY makes it as good as Pinkberry does. Most of their best flavors like the yummy Salted Caramel and Passionfruit are seasonal so they are only available for a limited time and come back once, maybe twice a year. After I placed my order, the girl (again) showed me her teeth and said "I'll be right back with that" as if she was going somewhere. She literally turned around, filled my cup without taking a single step and then turned back to me to ask for my choice of toppings. To me, this exemplifies slightly disturbing corporate behavior. You either enjoy your job and like people, or you are creepy.... Tickle me pink-this froyo is tha bomb! I've heard the talk of this froyo, and couldn't quite understand this cult like following, and waiting in line how long? What the heck for?! Well, I found out, and now I'm among those who are in the Pinkberry cult. The flavor is unlike anything I've ever tasted. The texture is like velvet. The toppings are super cool and fun. I prefer the fresh cut fruit on mine, but there are all sorts of quirky toppings to chose from, like breakfast cereals, candies, and really good granola. I thought the price went by weight, but they actually cram as much in the cup they can, and you pay standard prices per size. A small is plenty. There is also a small variety of flavors of fro-yo, and a rotating seasonal, but I prefer the original. It's true yogurt flavor, and is perfection when topped with fruit, granola, and chocolate flakes. The lines are long, but go at off times, you will not regret it, and you might wind up like me, in the newest cult classic. read more

There is always room for Pinkberry. Ok, I was one of the crazy loyal people who stood in that really long line for an average of 40 minutes to get Pinkberry when they first opened. (FYI, I'm thankful that now, the wait is only about 3 minutes.) This is the best tasting froyo you'll find in Denver. I have been to every other froyo place I can think of and the taste at Pinkberry is far above. Their toppings taste fresher, the yogurt is creamier and the caloric intake is low. Heaven in a cup! One tiny little setback: the price. Considering the number of tiems I have been there, I probably could have bought a new macbook by now...that's sad, let's not talk about that anymore. But the only reason I cared to write anything down in the first place is to help guys like me be aware of places like this. Have you ever found yourself fighting with your significant other? Extra fudge and Nutella style ice cream with yogurt. They are that good. I always wanted to return and can't wait to do so. I was so surprised of how much flavors that acquire! I decided to check this place out the other day. For once the line didn't have 100 people but only 15 people lol. I waited about 20 minutes but it was well worth the wait! The staff was super friendly and very patient. I sampled a few flavors before deciding on the chocolate. The coolest part about this place is that they allow as many toppings that will fit in the cup and no extra charge! except for the imported toffee and milk chocolate topping which is only 50 cents. They have several fruit toppings to pick from and all of the toppings are so fresh. No canned fruit here. I ordered a small and my toppings included blackberries, toffee topping, white yogurt chips, and strawberries. All I can say is yum!!! If the line wasn't usually so long I could see myself stopping here quite often in the summer months. However, as good as this place is...I won't wait in a line for an hour. Pinkberry was so hyped & after seeing the lines of people waiting for ever to get in to get some of this frozen goodness, I wasn't sure it would be able to actually live up to anticipation & expectations. The sis & I ventured in on a Friday night in November & despite the chill in the air, the place was hopping, which is a good sign for a place selling frozen desserts. It was colorful, bright & clean, something I look at being in the restaurant industry. After staring in to the options of menu & toppings, can I say TOPPINGS, we were greeted by the insanely friendly staff behind the counter who explained what the heck was going on here, what flavors they had today & gave many, many samples. Ok, made the flavor choice & then next came the daunting task of picking toppings. Which ones to choose, which ones to choose......so many to pick from. I finally choose the original flavor of froyo which is very much like Greek yogurt, topped with some strawberries, raspberries & chocolate crunch. As the place was full, we took the goodies home to enjoy. They placed the delights in a bag with ice to help keep it frozen on the journey home, nice touch! The anticipation did indeed live up to the hype, the yogurt was creamy & flavorful & the toppings were yummy. I'm up for a return visit soon. read more

Out of the bombardment of Yogurt places that have opened in the last 5 years or so, Pinkberry is as good as it gets. The biggest differentiator for me here is the yogurt stands on its own. The flavors are so unqiue and tasty themselves that the toppings are just an added bonus. If I go to a competitor, the Yogurt is unremarkable and dependent on toppings to really make it a treat. I also like how it's not one big self-serve mess with people using their fingers to grab toppings. This is also the only place that has consitently fresh fruit. My only complaint is that they need more locations in Colorado - especially down South! read more

Pinkberry is the place that I usually go to get frozen yogurt, and enjoy some me time. I sometimes hit my friends up to see if they wanna go with me. This shop was the first one that I checked out since I move to Denver. It is very convenient for me to go because it's close to my house. My go to flavor is the original tart and mango. Someone on Yelp said that people should try out the pomegranate flavor. I tried it and it wasn't that good for me personally. I could eat at Pinkberry till I'm overloaded. I don't really know if their food is nutritious, but oh my Lord, it's heavenly! Their shop is a little plain though. I think they should try beautifying it.
