This class was by far the best barre class I've ever taken! The instructor, Juliana, was so welcoming, motivating and knowledgeable on proper form and technique. The class was a perfect mix of barre work, mat work, and weighted exercises - the hour class flew by. I feel like this would be a perfect place for barre beginners since it's much less intimidating than the typical vibe at pure barre, but is also an incredible, advanced work out for people who have taken barre previously. I'm so sad I don't live closer to the barre effect. I'll definitely be coming back to this studio any time I'm in the area!

I…read moreused to attend Core Power in DC, and was really looking for a similar experience in terms of service and ambiance- this place is the closest I found. The staff have all been friendly, and the classes fun. I liked my classes with Stephanie, since the seem to be a little bit more intense, which is what I really like. All the instructors I've had so far are great though. Additionally, during COVID times, I was hesitant to attend any classes. This business however, has implemented all necessary precautions before opening their doors. They are only working at a 1/4 capacity, which means about 9-10 ppl per class. They also have a air purifier that is turned on before and after each class, and of course they require mask the entire time. I found this to be comforting, and felt safe enough to continue attending classes. I highly recommend this place if you're in search of a great Yoga studio.

Her intention for the class stuck with me throughout the entire day - I feel that so often I attend a yoga class and the focus shifts entirely to just the physical aspect of yoga, and not enough to the meditative state, but this class was the perfect example of both. I also loved the for the warm vinyasa flow, the instructor guided us through some pose options that were not super typical, giving the class a great twist with new energy. I signed up for another live stream class but ended up canceling as I didn't feel well. Well I received an email tonight saying they were charging me an additional $10!!!!!! for canceling the live stream class. OK, I get IN PERSON, they would charge a cancelation fee because it takes away a slot from another person, but their live steam slots are unlimited!!! I should have just kept myself registered or logged in. This is unbelievable, I have never heard of anything like this and I did NOT consent to my card to be charged and I will be disputing it with my credit card company and NOT returning for any more classes. Additionally, upon further research it looks like they charge you a "late cancel" fee for in-person classes after your second offense, so I still for the life of me cannot believe they fraudulently charged my card for a missed virtual class with unlimited slots. I'm livid. Buyer beware.

And I feel like it's one of the few non-heated yoga places in the area, which is important to me! I came as part of an unlimited trial with the intention of trying a few place's before settling on one, but never left. The instructors and the owner are welcoming and supportive. They are great with new students and old ones. Every one of the teachers encourage you to do what right for your bodies and not focus on what others are doing. The community is a group of people across all ages and abilities. Pre-pandemic, it was like my second home. During the pandemic it kept me sane as their virtual classes kept me connected with a wonderful community. Post pandemic remains amazing. I HIGHLY recommend this studio.
