It was difficult picking just one class because there were so many of them I wanted to take. Lawrence Arts Center has so much to offer all age groups. My class was a human hodge podge of ages and experience. The building is stunning. You are immediately taken in by the color collections and the great use of space and light of this building. Everywhere you look there is alluring and interesting artwork. Even the elevator interior is adorned with colorful sunflower art. This is a happy place, a very happy place. The classrooms are spacious and light. They have all sorts of cool equipment for the students to create their artwork. The instructors are all very knowledgeable and experienced in their craft. I was very impressed with the accommodations provided. There is ample parking and a parking garage is located across the street. There is no issue with access. All in all this is a terrific asset to the city. If you have some time on your hands and find yourself downtown, this is the place to be!

I had the great honor of attending Midwest Trust Center Concert Series featuring the world renowned…read moreMaster Trumpeter Chris Botti himself. Omgudness what a phenomenal Wednesday night! The venue is perfect for concerts, plays etc. and every seat is a good seat. I first saw Mr. Botti in concert years ago and I thought I would literally lose it. He tore that trumpet up. I have never heard a trumpet sound THAT good, ever! HE is the very reason I fell in love with it. My instrument of love was always the saxophone, but honey all that changed after hearing this cat. He also happens to have the coldest band ever and is such a brilliant yet caring person. He provides opportunities for other phenomenal musicians to play with him from all over the world...not everyone does that...talk about unselfish, it's very admirable. Have never been to a pottery studio before so have nothing to compare it to but the classes have…read morebeen easygoing. The instructors are kind and the big doggo is always a joy to see. Probably expect having to do more than one class to completely finish a piece yourself, I usually do a class to start something new and then go to an open studio another day to trim it and get it ready to be fired the first time, and then I'll do another class once it's fired and glaze it, then start something new while I'm there. It's a process but I find it very enjoyable :)

They are very active with daily activities and they like to involve the family. I always receive an email from his teacher with updates on what is going on and up coming school events. There are a lot of places out there that don't care, but here they do. Mrs. Sandy in 0-6months is a soft spoken loving woman, I felt so comfortable leaving my baby with her and didn't want my baby to move out of her room. Mrs. Karina was her next teacher in 6-12 months and the room is still connected to Mrs. Sandy's which I liked. Mrs. K is fun, caring, and really works with the kids. She'll turn your baby into a toddler which you will love/hate :p I also have older that went here and I can say that Mrs. Jeanette and Mrs. Jessica were quickly favored. Even the teachers aids are great. They always put up new photos and charts to show what the kids have been doing and if I have any issues the director Stephanie, and the assistant director Gretchen are are wonderful, attentive leaders who get down in the trenches with their co-workers. I got on Yelp originally to look for a new day care that was closer to my house. Instead I noticed there were no reviews for this day care. I having gone here for so long I decided to write one. After saying all I have stay, I don't care how far it is I wouldn't trust anyone else with my children.

The pastor, principal, and kindergarten teacher nearly forced us to medicate our child as well as jump through all sorts of hoops trying to set up an IEP with the Shawnee Mission School District only to inform us one month before the beginning of the school year that they don't want our son.
