It was instantly different than any other office I'd experienced, and they made me less anxious even after everything I'd been through with the terrible dentist. I brought the rest of my family with me (we had 3 generation's coming). Even when our insurance said they were out of network we wouldn't go anywhere else. Once I was married my husband made the switch and he agreed everyone is amazing. Dr. Smith and Dr. Erlander and all the hygienists became family friends. I look forward to going and even took my 2 week old baby with me to my appointment because I knew they'd want to meet him. When my grandparents passed away they sent personal messages, and their hygienist attended their funerals, which is unheard of from other places. I can't recommend them enough! Their knowledge and experience shines through as they treat you, and you'll leave with new friends. If you want to look forward to going to the dentist, go here!

If those of you reading this review are looking for a great dentist, these guys are really good. I am now 76 years old and was billed a surprising dollar amount due to change in insurance carriers. I was not aware that the business / billing office would charge me 3 times what is the normal charge for Delta Dental or my new insurer United Health Care. In the past (with Delta) I was billed the difference between the "amount allowed" (the amount the insurance company is willing to pay) and the amount of coverage. example, Billed amount = $400, Amount Allowed = $150, Coverage is 50% of $150 = $75. Because I am now with United Health, same example... Billed amount =$400, Amount allowed = $150, Coverage is 50% should be $75 but NO, I am billed $400 - $150 = $250, coverage is 50% = $125, not $75 as billed under Delta , And NOT told that it would be billed this way until after the procedure(s) are done! Bottom line is if your insurance is out of network or you have no insurance, you are going to billed as much as 3 times more!! I discussed with Tiffany at the office who was very condescending and rude. Unfortunately I will have to change dentist due to the way NON NETWORK is handled at HBD. Tiffany had no problem with me no longer a patient. Terribly unfortunate as again I really like the dentists, but the business office is extremely lacking in tact and professionalism. I had to charge $800 to my credit card and because I am retired (unemployed, living off primarily social security) I will have to pay this off over the next year! No need for the office to reply to this, but I am fairly certain they will (especially if its the front office responding)

Over 20 years I've had 4 hygienists, and each one had been better than the last! I felt I was at the top as hygienists go! Historically, Prestige Dental has always found excellent hygienists. So, I thought the odds were with me and, as in life, I should give people a shot. I went in, apprehensively, yesterday and met with an experienced but new to Prestige Dental hygienist named Marie. Let me cut to the chase, if you are worried about the recent change in hygienists at Prestige Dental, ask for Marie and you will not be disappointed. I was impressed by her knowledge of the industry, the details of my (very specific and exhaustive) care profile, her hand-skill in working with patients with hyper-sensitive teeth, and her bedside manner. Set your mind at ease, well, at least know that Marie will take excellent care of you. This high praise doesn't come easy and I don't give it lightly.

They accepted my insurance, were near my house, had good reviews, and had availability much sooner than 2-3 months out like most places. My appointment could not have gone any better. I also appreciate that they didn't try to upsell me additional services like most others. I'll be sending my daughter there this summer when she is home from college. Blue Springs is definitely worth giving them a shot at your business based on my experience.

From the very first encounter entering the building, Rosie was kind and polite in checking me in. She gave me the appropriate forms immediately and told me what I could expect financially. Check in was 3 minutes for me to say hi, read the form, sign, sit down. The office offers some cooled waters and coffee with cozy spaces to sit and a warm, inviting atmosphere. AJ came to take me back within 5 minutes of check in (I had an 11 am appointment) and he got me early! I was in one of the bigger rooms in the back. I asked for a TV remote and blanket and AJ was more than happy to help me. He had SUCH a polite demeanor and I truly felt like smiling despite what I was in for. Dr. Tyng came and shook my hand, reviewed what we were doing today, and asked if I had concerns or questions. I told him I had some tooth sensitivity on a tooth that we had a watch on for a potential cavity. After he reviewed my Xrays, he advised that's the most invasive way to repair the sensitivity. He genuinely listened to my issues, verified the sensitivity by poking around with some air, and offered me not 1, not 2, but 3** different options. 1) just use sensodyne and leave it on without rinsing (cheapest option) 2) a polish that would cover the tooth and help sensitivity for 6-9 months (second most expensive), or 3) a laser treatment that works indefinitely and it's the most costly. I asked how much each option was. AJ took about 15-20 minutes to find out (totally fine and reasonable since they verified with my insurance and I kept asking additional questions) and I decided on the laser! AJ and Dr. Tyng numbed me up, and Maren, the hygienist, did my laser treatment. She walked me through EVERY step and what to expect. It took all of 5 minutes. Didn't feel a damn thing. And I'm one of those that feels too much stuff and is anxious. She checked on me multiple times during the treatment to make sure I was comfortable. She gave me advice on how to take care of the sensitivity and her previous record with the treatment on other patients! When that was done, she also left the tube of spare fluoride to be applied after my filling instead of wasting it. :) Dr. Tyng and AJ came back about 20 minutes after injecting the numbing agent and began the filling. It. Was. The FASTEST. Filling. I've ever gotten. It was under 15 minutes. That's INCLUDING the touch up to check my bite. AJ didn't complain once that I needed to adjust my bite and it took me about 4 tries to get it right. He also advised I could come back for free whenever I needed to have it adjusted again. At check out, Dee was polite and kind, scheduled me for my next cleaning, and emailed me my receipt. Upon leaving, Rosie remembered that she emailed me my forms and let me know before I left. Everyone here was so genuinely kind and it felt like they GAVE A CRAP ABOUT ME! They remembered my profession and asked how I was and what my plans were...they laughed with me at the movie I was watching. This was BY FAR the best dentist visit I've ever had. And I had a needle in my mouth! I actually came in and left smiling. I felt so weird being HAPPY leaving and going to the dentist! If you haven't come here, please do. I was there for my sched appointment and had to wait 40 min for my inital appointment- where is my $50 for waiting for my initial appoinment when they run late. I took 2 hours off work because they cannot schedule later. Cancelling appointments and charging people when they are present is a scam. This place won't be in business long unless you live in the office. 2nd appointment and they treat people this way. LOOK FOR ANOTHER DENTIST...STAY AWAY.

I have been in severe pain for two weeks and have had to go back multiple times, only to be told there is "nothing they can do" and to take pain meds. Today I was suddenly referred to an endodontist because the pain has gotten so bad, yet no one even tried to adjust the bite before jumping to another appointment a week out. The quality of the dental work was unacceptable. The assistants did almost everything, including the crown work, and they clearly are not trained well. One of them cut my gums during the procedure and said "oops." I have photos of the damage (my gums, tongue, and even lip). During one visit I received five shots because they could not get the tooth numb. My teeth were not hurting before I came here, I NEVER had pain in my mouth and now? After going to them, I am dealing with constant pain and have to go in for a REAL root canal to undo the damage they did with my nerve in my tooth. They also pressure patients into leaving five star reviews by promising free teeth whitening for life. This practice does not focus on patient care, only money. There are far better dentists in Colorado Springs. I regret ever coming here and will not be returning or spending another dollar.

The office staff were nice but not very professional. The clinic charged a $75 consultation fee if you didn't cancel your appointment before 48 hours, which is acceptable, but did not inform me that the consultation scheduled with another doctor had been canceled. I was surprised upon arrival. I worked with Dr. Espinosa, who was very unwelcoming, ignorant, and rude, walking away after finishing the work without asking if I had any questions or concerns, without a word, explanation, or goodbye. (The things that made me feel that I was discriminated against as an Arab female immigrant with not too much English.) Dr. Kramer was much better than Dr. Espinosa. Also, please note that you can expect to work with assistants and hygienists more than the doctor. The luxury treatments they attempt to offer clients, like champagne and heated massage chairs, don't matter if faced with staff who won't listen to you, give you time, or make you feel comfortable and welcome during your treatment. There are many good dental clinics here in Springs where I had great experiences and that would offer much more.
