But unfortunately, I struggle with vasovagal syncope (fainting during medical procedures, especially those that involve needles). I met with Dr. Rao for an hour to discuss options. She answered every single one of my concerns and I got the sense that if I decided never to come back, she would be totally okay with that. I was pleasantly surprised that an aesthetic professional would be such a proponent of staying totally natural if that's what I wanted to do. I was also shocked to know that she gets some of these treatments done herself, because she looks so natural and normal. Dr. Rao's values about helping people achieve very natural looks aligned with my goals. The day of the treatment came and I was very anxious and afraid of the new experience. But Dr. Rao was extremely patient and kind. I was able to bring my partner with me for moral support, and the two of them were champions at coaching me back to life when I started to black out halfway through the injections. We were able to finish the process from there. My results are fantastic and my self-esteem is restored, since now I don't spend about a thousand thoughts a day obsessing over my forehead. It looks extremely natural and I still have the amount of movement I need to do my job as an actor, while eliminating the deep lines that were there before.
