The Nightmare began when my 11-year 110lb Rottie could not get up or even pick head up from floor. I went to my go to animal hospital near Allentown and got absolutely no help (I felt the Emergency DR was either intimidated by him or was clueless where to start). They said there was no room ad referred me to another place in Jersey. So we went there and they tried their best (they were not equipped to handle emergencies like this. He was there for several days and a lot of testing with no improvement. They told me to try Philly. So Dozer & I went to Philly and after exam they told me their thoughts (thinking Cancer), offered the $5000 MRI and leaded towards his quality of life which at that point was NONE. I made arrangements for the next day for someone to come to the house. On the way home I kept searching for other places & came across Pinnacle Veterinary Specialists. I decided to take him to Pinnacle. They were wonderful from the start! I explained everywhere we had been and had no answers. Once again Dozer had to go through x-rays & bloodwork. Dr. David Brewer could not see anything definitive. He kinda felt same way Philly did (probably Cancer). He didn't feel it was some disease that dogs can get. I had to know. I just didn't or refused to believe it was cancer. I could not give up without trying and decided to get the MRI. I finally got my answer. It wasn't easy for Dr Brewster to find but it ended up being an infection from an old spinal cord injury that I never knew he had. He could not guarantee Dozer would recover from this because a week had already passed with no treatment. He said it if there is improvement it could take a year. He sent him home with medication and instructions. Within 6 months & a lot of hard work, my Boy was up walking getting better and better every week. Dozer was able to happily celebrate his 12th Birthday because of Dr Brewster's skills. I truly believe if I would have had the MRI done anywhere else, they still would not have found the old injury with an infection! If your dog needs TPLO surgery, or any surgery I suppose, I would recommend you pass over Dr May and see Dr Rengert instead. While I did not go to him, afterwards, I heard much better things about him than Dr May. Dr May, while she may be a good doc, is lacking in bedside manner and her smile seems forced. My vet recommended her so I went to her for my dogs surgery. My dog is ok and the surgery went well although Dr May did leave a metal suture in my dogs leg. It doesn't seem to bother my dog but it does make me wonder about her attention to detail and frankly overall attention to any dog or pet. This place seems to be extremely busy so there's not a lot of time spent with the dog "owner" (I hate that term) explaining procedures etc. And they primarily (90%) communicate via text. I'm sorry, but if I'm entrusting my beloved dog to you, I want phone or in person face time, not a text! When any of my dogs have had surgeries, I wait in the waiting room so I will be close should anything happen and then see the doc after it's done. At Pinnacle, the doctor doesn't even walk out to the waiting room to tell you everything went ok. For one of our appointments, one of the staff said that TPLO surgeries are their "bread and butter". Once again, I'm sorry, but my dog is NOT your bread and butter. She is my love, my heart, not $$$ just to line your pockets. Even after all this, when my dog needed her other leg done, because in the end her leg is great now. I called to make an appointment with Dr Rengert instead. I was told that Dr May and Dr Rengert work together as a team and she would or could still be involved. I didn't mind that. I just wanted Dr Rengert to be the lead and do the surgery. This must not have been ok w Dr May. She knew I was not overall thrilled with her. I suspect Dr May is an owner of the practice. I was pretty much told to not come back. I would bet that if I didn't ask for the other doctor, they would've taken my money again. Oh well, never Pinnacle again. I'm taking my dog to MetroVet in Wayne PA instead. My friends dog had his TPLO surgery there and they loved the doctor there and said the communication was top notch, not anything like what I experienced at Pinnacle. Metropolitan did do a ruptured disc surgery on a previous dog of mine years ago and they were excellent. I only went to Pinnacle because it was closer to me and my vet recommended them. I'll be questioning that the next time I see my vet. I'll never again let proximity win over what I knew deep down was the wrong decision. Unfortunately, Pinnacle had a quicker appointment than Metro Vet at the time and I was desperate to get my dog better as quickly as possible. Oh, one more thing... At my last appointment at Pinnacle, there were bits of something on the ground of the exam room. I showed the nurse and she said "eww gross, it's throw up". She picked up a couple chunks with a tissue and threw them out but missed a couple others. She then continued with the exam. I asked for another room because it is unacceptable to have my dog in such an unsanitary room! I mean, come on! Unbelievable that I even had to ask. And I never saw anyone go in there and sanitize it after. Gross. Update: Went to Metro Vet, gosh what a difference! The place is super CLEAN and they are NICE! Imagine that! The front desk is organized, presentable and professional. I never realized how chaotic the front desk situation was at Pinnacle until I saw how one should be run. And the doctor explained things to me that were never explained to me before. Of course my beloved dog will be getting her second TPLO surgery at Metro Vet. read more

I came to Pinnacle after my "regular" emergency vet (I have a problem child) informed me that they only performed ultrasounds on Monday mornings, and I needed one done right away (on a Tuesday). After calling around and finding out that Pinnacle does ultrasounds all the time, I headed over. I had been dealing with some feline issues for a week by the time I made it to Pinnacle. It was the middle of the night and I was distressed. When I arrived I was taken back into a room right away, which was great as I was really losing my mind at that point in time. The nurse that greeted me that evening was perfection, and I hate that I can't remember her name now. She was so kind and gave me so much space to say and feel whatever I needed to. They took my cat overnight, did the ultrasound the next day, and kept me updated via text message the whole time. I ended up having to schedule an appointment with Dr. Prober (an internist) after all of this happened, to see if further steps were needed to diagnose my cat's issues. The wait-time to see Dr. Prober was about a month, but when I did finally get to see her, I knew she was worth the wait. On the day of my appointment with Dr. Prober she sat on the floor of the exam room with my cat, was so gentle and an amazing listener. My cat ended up trying to crawl under her legs to hide like it was a fort, and Dr. Prober just let it happen. I was shocked when not only did Dr. Prober recommend we proceed with a scope procedure, but when she said they could do it *the same day.* I thought for SURE that I'd have to wait for the scope procedure for weeks after the consult with Dr. Prober, but nope! A couple hours after my consultation Dr. Prober sent me a text saying the procedure would start soon. A little bit after that she called me to say that they found.. drumroll please.. 2-3 kinds of foreign bodies inside my cat (a piece of shoe, shoelace tip, and q-tip). She removed all bits, took biopsies to have on-hand since she was "in" there anyway, and sent him on his merry way. Overall, Pinnacle is great. They were great in the emergency situation I first came in for, and they were great with my cat today. Everyone was very compassionate and their communication is stellar. If I have any more drama with my kitty (it's almost a certainty), I will be returning. read more

Couldn't have ask for a better pair of experiences than what my family received from Pinnacle over the past 5 1/2 weeks. My 12 y/o calico Sophia fell ill and was quickly diagnosed with terminal cancer & tumors. The sweet kitty then passed on Saturday after we put her down. The level of professionalism, care, and empathy shown by the doctors & staff were all A++ and certainly exceeded my expectations. Especially important at a time of emotional distress and having to let go of a loved one. Pricing seemed perfectly reasonable and I'm assuming it's well within the going rate for procedures and final expenses these days. Wonderful experience. We have had to visit them on 3 different occasions w/ 3 different dogs and all three times have been Thrilled with everyhting. The latest involved our 8 yr old Rottweiler and was a long 8 week process. They have gone out of their way to make sure the Pup was comfortable and treated her like a member of our and their family. From making her comfortable on the floor and giving snacks to following up a month later directly from the surgeon to see how she's doing. We would give 50 stars if we could. I'll be honest, I was hesitant to come here based on some of the reviews I've read. My dog, who is CHALLENGING, has a neuro issue and I wanted to get him the best care. We've been to vets who have gotten impatient with us, and I've always felt those vets rushed through appointments just so they didn't have to hear my dog bark anymore. When he's in unfamiliar places, he barks nonstop because he's nervous. He's a 90 lb lab, so his barks aren't for the weak. At Pinnacle, the neurologist came in with 2 nurses. They sat on the FLOOR with me and my dog, and each took turns loving on him to help keep him calm as I spoke with the neurologist. Reader, I cannot tell you how much this meant to me. The neurologist spoke to me at length about what she thought could be wrong, answered my questions, and then proceeded to take my pup in for an MRI. Everything went very smoothly. We got our diagnoses before we went home. Having answers so quickly was such a relief. Thank you Pinnacle for your love and care towards my Leo. After being referred here from our vet, I wouldn't go anywhere else now. Our dog needed to have induced vomiting because he ate something he shouldn't have. They took us back right away and they explained all the options. After talking with a vet tech, they took him back right away. We only had to wait about 30 minutes before he was ready to go home. Every single staff member we interacted with was so incredibly kind. They took amazing care of our boy. Although I hope we don't have a reason to go back for an emergency visit, I will recommend this place to anyone who needs an emergency vet! read more

There are good and not so good experiences. First off, front desk staff is VERY RUDE, condescending - absolutely unprovoked in any way! Apparently the management is very protective of their staff. On one hand it's a very good thing for the staff. As far as customers who are on the receiving end of the front desk (and some nurses) attitudes - not so good! 2 docs we dealt with the most were good. Wait times can be ridiculous and with no updates. We got lucky, i guess, with the first 2-3 visits for treatment of a screwed up neutering surgery followed by infection. We were seen pretty fast and treatment was good. The last visit was a disaster! 8-9 hrs wait time and dog not seen yet! Barky receptionist was the icing on the cake! It's an ER - "just like a human ER!" - I am not sure how they determine emergency priorities, except the obvious ones, but my pet was bumped down the list several times. 'We have 5 dogs ahead of you!' The waiting time is constantly extending. Going to nearly 10 hours. Doctor is nice and understanding, but VERY busy! We didn't come in with a pimple on the a** either, but somehow priorities are made. This place, though better than some others I've seen, needs some work to maintain decent ratings. Verdict- call first before coming in and be prepared to be very, very patient! Funny how a rude receptionist can singlehandedly drop a business's rating from a possible 5 stars to a miserable 2. We took our older dog who was having problems breathing in at around 6:00 pm. A person who was not a vet took background information on the problem, and then they took him to an exam room without us. They told us they took blood in case we wanted blood work done. I asked if blood had to be sent out, but they said they could run it there and it would take about 30 minutes. 2 hours later, we asked for a status and the staff chided us saying there were a lot sicker dogs there and we would have to wait. 2+ hours later, after midnight, we were still told that the vet was busy. By that time, our dog seemed to be breathing better, so we decided to go, and paid $675, never seeing or discussing anything with a vet. We asked if we could call the next day to get the test results, but were told that we should book an appointment with our regular vet. Huge waste of time and $! read more

I arrived at Pinnacle around 6am on a weekday with my senior dog. Reyna's cleaning service was working in the lobby and my most pleasant interactions of our visit occurred with these women (and Marlena who was there when I picked up - thank you). Angela and Jess were especially abrasive and condescending. I was not aware I should have called prior to my arrival and the inconvenience or frustration this caused staff was made clear to me. I prioritized my own urgency and fear about my dog and did not apparently adequately read the website, where I should mention I do not see it listed that you must call prior to arrival. I acknowledged my mistake and offered to leave and go to another emergency vet if I could not be accommodated. Many humans and pets are having some of their worst days when they seek help at Pinnacle. I would have expected more kindness from staff but the attitude persisted with nearly every employee I had the displeasure of speaking with. Dr. Kalman whom I spoke with on the phone was kind and compassionate, but I am not a fan of having no in person interaction with the treating vet. I believe their prices are commiserate with other emergency vets in the area - it is 250 just to walk in the door for an emergency, about 300-350 for bloodwork, and 600+ for ultrasound. I would travel further to VEG or VRC or chance a wait/higher cost at Windcrest to avoid the way I was made to feel by staff here. When I asked for contact info of someone to speak with regarding my experience I was informed that's not possible. I hope my review helps other pet parents make informed decisions about this facility. Interestingly, their reviews on some platforms are much higher than on Yelp. My four year old cat Poe became rapidly sick and was diagnosed here with pyothorax. We were given a terminal diagnosis by another veterinarian before taking him to Pinnacle, who saved his life. We drove over two hours to take him here and see a specialist. Immediately upon arriving, they were able to diagnose him and explain to us our options. They were upfront about how much it would cost, and detailed how the next days would go with his treatment. I can say that I really do think that this place cares about the animals, and not about upselling you. They are compassionate and the service from every doctor, nurse, and receptionist was exceptional. My baby stayed here for multiple days and I was given multiple updates every day about his wellbeing and also how the bill was changing by day. Upon discharge they also immediately sent me an itemized bill. The doctors called me directly and spoke to me. Even while sitting on the ground of the ICU, the doctors got on their knees to talk to me at eye level, which was amazing and compassionate. I never felt rushed, even when visiting my baby. They always told me to take as much time as I needed to see him. I was able to finally bring him home today along with some antibiotics and medications. We were pressured by other veterinarians to put him down as fast as possible, even though he is a completely healthy cat who just happened to contract an infection. I took my cat to Pinnacle with chronic upper respiratory problems that the Pinnacle team determined were masking an underlying condition. Dr. McGrath immediately did diagnostic testing and found internal problems that had gone undetected for 2 years. My cat unfortunately had to be euthanized, but you couldn't ask for more highly competent and compassionate people than at Pinnacle. I only wish I had made the switch to Pinnacle earlier. read more

My Italian Greyhound has been struggling with an autoimmune disorder for over 3 years and I've seen many, many vets. While I had to wait 5 weeks for an appointment with Dr. Prober, she was worth the wait. She sat on the floor to examine him and speak with me, and he was super comfortable with her. I should add that if it had been an emergency situation, she would have seen him earlier. I'm glad to have found Dr. Prober and I'm confident that she will be able to help him! If I could give them 0 stars I would. I brought my cat in for professional care and I didn't get it. I specifically asked for steroids that would last a month, not 10 days. I told them 10 days is not enough, he gets better on the 10th day and then he's back to with the problem. After being sent to a room for 2 hours, then waiting another 2 hours some girl brings out my cat and tells me that they gave him a 10-day steroid injection. When I told her that's not what I asked for, the other women working there moaned like I'm the one with a problem. Then she proceeds with the worst attitude and to tell me that it "Could" last for a month. Still with the nasty attitude she then corrects herself by saying it "Could" last for two months. I hate being lied to. On top of that the attitude of the women that work there is unprofessional and abhorrent. A bunch of kids who don't listen. I was so angry when I left, disgusted by what they did, basically giving him a death sentence. How could you not listen to anything I told you, I explained everything. They don't care. I had to put him to sleep. Do not bring your pets to this place. If it were my business, I'd fire all of them in one shot. read more

She was the 6th dog I have lost so I was not new to this. We brought one of our beagles to see Dr. Brewer, one of the neurologists, following a seizure. He and his team were kind, gentle, and accommodating, both with the owner, and more importantly, with Merlin. Bringing your baby to a specialist is always terrifying, no matter how well educated or prepared you are, and I knew without a doubt that Dr. Brewer and his team were the best equipped to care for my Merlin, and were dedicated to keeping him healthy. We are forever grateful (but hope to see them infrequently!) Additionally, the front desk was kind and professional, and other doctors coming in and out of the waiting room were kind and professional with clients. To be transparent, I was nervous about bringing my cat to Pinnacle based on the online reviews. However, when my primary veterinarian told me she drives 1 hour to take her pet specifically to Dr. Brewer for neurology, I followed her recommendation. Much to my pleasant surprise, everyone at Pinnacle was fantastic - - caring, attentive & efficient. The lovely ladies at the front desk brought me back to an exam room immediately both times (I had an appointment one time and the other was an unannounced emergency). Dr. Brewer (sat on the floor) and the vet tech were fantastic & put my cat at ease. The conversation was thorough. Dr. Brewer explained the range of possible causes for the cat's condition (from nothing to a brain tumor) but was not an alarmist. An MRI was performed and took exactly as long as they suggested. Dr. Brewer was in communication with me immediately after the MRI concluded (for those on the edge of your seat, turns out it was a moderate ear infection). The only thing I wish was different about their communication was that we could call and speak with a live person instead of communicating via text for everything. However, even with that, when the communications got a little complicated & I asked if we could speak on the phone, Sam accommodated my request immediately. read more

All she did is sucked over $8k of my money while she couldn't even provide any specific diagnoses, and my poor 9 months old cat has been fading away under her care. She was jumping from one thing to another and was prescribing random medications. She didn't even bother to return any of my calls to answer the critical questions, and when i was a few min late for the appoint due to roads closure, she refused to see us. She is the worst of the worst, and if my cat dies it will be on her. Please do not trust your fur babies in hands of this monster. Save them with someone who deserves to be called a doctor, and can really help without robbing you financially and killing your dear pet. read more

This is the one review I never wanted to write. I brought my dog in due to it being a 24 hour emergency vet and knowing it was time. They took us in right away and saw my dog. After what felt like forever, but may have been an hour or two, the vet came in to tell me the news and provide options. I made the choice to let my dog escape his pain which was extremely difficult. We were taken into a private room that had a couch and chairs and we were given all the time we needed to be with my dog to say goodbye. They have a discreet doorbell you can ring when you're ready for the vet to come in. Once my dog passed, we were told to take as much time as we needed. I was so pleased with my experience here. I put in a request for an appointment yesterday because I was unsure if my dogs case was an actual emergency and the second I did, I got a text which brought me to a messenger with one of the receptionists. This was incredible that you could live chat with someone to ask questions instead of sitting on hold. We ended up bringing him in around 4:45 and we were told it would be a 2-3 hour wait to speak with a doctor, but a nurse could bring him back immediately to evaluate him. They gave us the option to leave and come back during the wait and said they would message us closer to when the doctor is ready. The nurse that brought us back was so kind and thorough and gave us the opportunity to ask questions and explain what was going on. She brought us back within the first five minutes we were there. It was about 3 hours on the dot when we were contacted through the messenger from the doctor that they were just about ready for us. Dr. Canda was very kind and so thorough with her explanation , and again gave us the opportunity to ask questions. We are waiting on some results but got a lot of answers. To the negative reviews about the cost of things, what do you expect? They are an ER which means they don't/can't stop what they're doing to accommodate your pet if something more critical comes in. Also, if you don't have pet insurance what do you expect? These professionals can't do their jobs correctly or have the ability to run tests or treat your loved ones without the equipment and specialists to do so. If you aren't willing to pay the money, reconsider owning pets, or several at best. They are your family. I would absolutely return here. The service we had was great and thorough. The women at the front desk were fantastic, Clarissa and Dr. Canda were wonderful, and this place was also very nice and clean. read more

I found Pinnacle to be very helpful and efficient. As soon as I called they texted me the intake forms, which really sped up the process. I did it in advance which helped us on arrival get into a room and begin the process. They took my dog right away for seizure evaluation. They explained the process, and the length of time being 3-4 hours due to the weekend influx of patients. Once the 4 hours passed they were great at helping get us set up in a private waiting room as we waited for Dr. Canda. She was patient and thorough in her explanation and recommendation. Our 2.5 year old black lab stepped on a bee playing ball this afternoon, she limped it off. We kept an eye on her, and within 15 minutes (we gave her Benadryl immediately) she started to get hives on her belly, shaking her head, and just didn't seem right. We called Pinnacle, and right from the initial call there was a definite genuine concern from the staff. They got our name, and when we got there we just told the nice receptionist and they took our dog right back. The Dr then asked if she could give the dog a steroid shot, and within a few minutes our pup was definitely feeling better. The entire time we were there was stress free. When we left, with a few steroid pills and paid the bill we both said how nice everyone was and how fair the cost was. A++++ read more

The veterinarians and staff at Pinnacle were amazing with our dog. We were able to get an appointment with a neurologist right away. They performed a MRI and went right into cervical surgery for a acute herniated disc. The team was knowledgeable, thorough and very communicative -- both through calls and text service. Our dog was able to come home within a few days and is doing really well. So thankful for the doctors and care team! We have been taking our now 7 year old dog to Pinnacle since 2021 (upon opening). She was originally treated at Blue Pearl Malvern who provided great care and originally saved her life. She needed monthly continued care and Pinnacle just opened and was much closer to home. My pup was being treated for severe hemolytic anemia. She was not making red blood cells on her own. We are not sure why this happened to her (infection, vaccinations, etc.). We adopted her a year prior, and she is a rescue. Pinnacle and Dr. Prober has been exceptional. Originally, my pup was seen monthly and now she is on a three-month cycle for visits. We have never had an issue with Pinnacle and find everyone professional and courteous. Specialty vet care is expense. We learned that from both Blue Pearl and Pinnacle. But we are very happy with the care our dog has received from Pinnacle. read more

I don't know why it says I'm from California but this is for the correct business In Glen Mills. I am convinced at the people who have left poor reviews don't tell the entire story.. either they're not reading what they're signing, borderline neglectful owners, or went against medical advice. I have used this hospital for two emergencies with my cats and have nothing bad to say. Mind you, I treat my animals like I would a person. I will not deny needed treatment or testing. The first time was for my cat with a urine blockage and currently my cat is there for some type of infection. Both of my cats were hospitalized for multiple days. I have personally spoken with Dr. Ziergler, Dr. Mogilensky, Dr. Slavick, and Dr. Donahue. All of these ladies are FANTASTIC. I have never once been dismissed by any of them or had an experience remotely close to what people say on here. In fact, the other night Dr. Ziegler and I had a 20+ minute conversation in the hospital while she had a crazy night on her hands. Subsquently, I've had multple 15+ minute phone calls since Koda has been hospitalized. They all listen, answer questions, and truly care. Dr. Donahue even took the time to take time out of her busy day to text me the good news about Koda's fever breaking. Every step of the way has been nothing but good. I've never met Dr. Prober but she took the time to chat with Dr. Donahue today on treatment for Koda. Dr. Prober did not have to take the time out of her weekend to do that and could've made us wait until Monday. This review says a lot as I'm a stickler and honestly can be a piece of work. I have no problem pushing back on doctors or questioning their decisions as I only want the best care possible. Never once have I had to question anyone's recommendations at Pinnacle. I will continue to recommend Pinnacle and wouldn't hesitate to come here in the future. read more

Vet tech said my dog was "stable." Vet refused to speak to me. After waiting 2.5 hours where no treatment was started for my dog I took him home and he died 1.5 hours later. I already had a diagnosis from my regular vet as well as testing but Pinnacle wouldn't anything without redoing $$$ tests because they're in it for the money. I begged to speak with a vet but they refused. read more

I have taken my dog here previously and had a great experience. It wasn't until tonight when we took my dog here due to suspicion of a mouth infection. It is not unusual for a dog to not eat some days, she eats when she wants to, some days she doesn't eat and the next day she might eat everything in 5 minutes. Yesterday, she did not eat at all and seemed very down, she wasn't begging for any people food and just was acting very weird. Today she was much better she was back to herself she was begging for food and also ate her dog food. It wasn't until about 8:15 when we gave her, her favorite bone. She was so excited to get it wagging her tail and jumping. Once we gave it to her she began to eat it but after one small bite she tucked her tail under her legs and left it in the middle of the floor. She NEVER would do this. This led to suspicion of a toothache or possible mouth infection, since she has had a bad tooth infection before that entered her blood stream. So we took her in. As soon as we walked in the person behind the desk was very rude, she was saying how they are 16 dogs behind and they are deferring all of their patients to other hospitals but those hospitals are also deferring. She then began to argue with us about a location we use to take our dog to. Ultimately the woman behind the desk said that they could triage our dog. We were taken back with a vet tech, and we gave our dogs history. Mind you my dog has epilepsy and has yet to have her PM medicine, and vets make her super anxious which could cause a seizure. We tell the vet tech what was going on with her mouth, so she took her back to the doctor to triage her. About 15 minutes later she comes back with papers she wants us to sign saying that we agree to sedate our dog (because they couldn't look in her mouth) have x rays done on her abdomen (not the reason why we came) and various other things. When we asked the vet tech about the x rays she said that they did an abdominal wand scan thing and the doctor saw something "unusual" we asked the tech what warranted the doctor to see something unusual, and what the red flags are that cause the "unusual" remark. She said she didn't know and would get the doctor. 45 minutes go on and still no doctor and NO DOG. Eventually we went back out front and asked the front to give us our dog, we explained that she didn't have her seizure meds and being by herself somewhere was going to cause a seizure. After this, a different vet tech brought our dog back to us. To which I asked her what the reason for these tests were for. This vet tech began to aggressively yell at us to explain this. And how she doesn't have x ray vision and can't see inside our dog. But once again there was nothing indicating something wrong with her abdomen. This went on for about 10 minutes until the doctor came out. Dr.Prober came out and said, unfortunately I am not here to talk to you about your dog nor have I SEEN HER. She said but I am here to talk to you about your behavior and how you are treating my staff. We decide to stop taking the BS and leave. But basically, the vet tech lied about everything about the abdomen and the doctor seeing something unusual. The vet tech didn't see anything unusual either as they are not allowed to do procedures or testing. The doctor never saw my dog after nearly and hour. They started making up stuff and putting words in our mouth, they kept saying that our dog wasn't eating which was not TRUE. A total mess, my dog never got treated after an hour plus of sitting in a kennel. This whole thing to me was a big old scam. We were treated horribly and im sure my dog was as well. If they treat us like that imagine how they treat your dog!!! I am super unhappy and will not be returning. read more

Zeros starts would be a better representation of this place. We took our dog in at 5pm after noticing his leg was swollen and he was having a hard time putting weight on it. We carried him in to the waiting room then after 5 minutes we were escorted back to a room where they forgot about us for FIVE HOURS. We asked again and again if anyone was coming to look at him. When they finally came back and put him on a stretcher, the girl ran the stretcher with our dog on it in to the door and the wall. Our dog growled in pain and her response was "calm down you're fine". When the vet came to talk to us, he "thought" it was an infection in his tissue and wanted to keep him overnight. When I asked what they would do overnight, he became incredibly defensive saying he would take better care of my dog than I could at home. We tried to remain very calm the entire time but they were incredibly rude and testing our patience. After them handing us a bill for over $1,000, we opted to take him home with medicine and the staff was mad at us! On this bill was sedation, which we figured since our dog was in so much pain, an x-ray, to rule out a break which we knew, a Doppler which we DID NOT know, an ultrasound which we DID NOT know, and other random house fees that this mucky place had to add. They said they can't confirm it's an infection but that's what they THINK. You can't tell me you THINK it's an infection, have no proof to back it up, and get defensive with me when I ask questions about next steps. We took our dog home at 1am and he was so uncomfortable. We made a follow up appointment with our primary vet for a week out hoping it would get better. Within 12 hours of us taking our dog home, we noticed they shaved his pressure pad! His arm was oozing and bleeding constantly. We called and asked if we could come in for them to rewrap him to help the bleeding and they said "it will be $75". It's going to cost me money to fix your mistake or shaving a senior dogs paw pad? No thank you. When I said I will do it myself for free with my medic background, they said "you're probably not trained enough to do it so you'll be the cause of your dogs pain". Because that's what you say to someone who's dog you forgot was in your exam room, mistreated, put him in more pain, and can't confidently say what the problem is. This place has no business being open and caring for animals. I genuinely feel bad for the new vet techs going here hoping to learn, the families hoping to help their fur babies, and just anyone who has to interact with these people. The only thing you get from this place is disrespect, a massive medical bill with treatments you did not agree to, a much larger issue that what you walked in with. read more

I would never take my pet back to them, my dog was pregnant in labor couldn't get the puppies out we rushed her to pinnacle, they wanted 8,000 for the C-section, my dog was able to get one puppy out, had to put momma dog down bc my family didn't have the 8,000, we where told the puppy back legs and tail where broken, Soni signed the paper for a organization to take her that deal with puppies this young without there mother, the vet told us she would let us know where she was going, and we have a chance to adopt her back, we find out today she was adopted and we where never told, even after multiple calls and text to them. I believe the puppy was fine we where lied to to get our puppy, starting cost for the puppy is 1,000 dollars and up. We lost our baby and her baby my family is heart broken!! Thank you pinnacle for my family's heartbreak!! My childrens heartbreak had to tell my kids there dog was gone and so is her puppy, they ask about them both everyday! read more

If I could give zero stars I would! Do Not take your pets to Pinnacle. There are many other pet hospitals in our area, with much nicer receptionists/manager and caring doctors. DO NOT spend even one penny at this place. I have paid almost $4000 in animal care costs in the past 6 months to Pinnacle, and the director, Dr. Wood would not even speak to me regarding my concerns?? Really? Is she too important to take the time to speak with her paying clients? She didn't want to hear my complaints about her staff? I spent 6 hours and $990.00 the day the prescriptions were given to me and they refused to refill them, and told me to take my business elsewhere!!????. That they will mail me a letter telling me of their Decision that they will no longer see my puppy for any emergency care!?? And they care about animals????!!! disgraceful! All they care about is the money. The 2 doctors that I saw in the past few months, in my opinion were rude and uncaring. The manager and the receptionist are rude. I was shaking, upset and crying, just to try to get the prescriptions filled that THEY gave me for my pet. They Refused to fill them, and in my opinion did so because they just didn't like me, they said they don't refill prescriptions after a month.. then why give me 3 Refills????!!!! Do yourself a favor and go to any other area pet hospital, Marple Animal hospital, West Chester Animal hospital... anywhere But Here! At least be treated with respect if you're going to spend hours and hours just sitting there waiting for your pet to be seen, at a cost hundreds/thousands $$ of dollars. The fact that Dr Wood said to take my business and my puppy elsewhere without even speaking with me after I spent thousands in that place! I had them put my little Romeo down just a few months ago. And this is how they treat me? I will make certain to warn everyone I know in this area who owns a pet to not patronize Pinnacle. I will go up to every pet owner I see, I will pet their puppy as I always do, as I love animals! and warn them! This is why businesses go out of business , employees who just don't care. I wish I never took my puppies there :-( makes me sick that this is the feeling I have to have of a place that I trusted to put my little 16 year old Romeo down. I'm very sadden to be leaving a bad review about pinnacle. First, I want to start off with my great experience.I had to rush my puppy to the ER where a very helpful and caring woman ER doctor rushed out to help my puppy who was having a Meningitis attack. She knew right away what it was and went out of her way to call local Neurologist to have him be seen. The woman told us we would not be charged and to hurry up and go. I'm thankful for her every day. I do not know her name but with hopes in writing this I wish she sees and knows I'm forever grateful for her going above and beyond. Someone that truly has a passion for animals. I then had another incident with my older male boxer who was experiencing liquid black Diarrhea throwing up shaking foaming at the mouth laying in a praying crouched position. Clearly uncomfortable. I rushed him to pinnacle believing he may have ingested something Poisonous. The night staff 6/5/22 was nice and very helpful. He was sent home on meds. We left there around 2:30 am. The next morning I woke up to him in terrible shape. His symptoms had gotten worse. We rushed him back in the morning around 8/9am. The Receptionist were nice but the female nurse was horrible and rude. Heartless and should not be in a profession working with animals. She was there 6/6/22 around 8am. I hope she sees this and reconsiders her approach to Concerned pet owners. She approached us and told us that they were very busy that they were dealing with a more critical patient that the price for him to be looked at would be over $1000 that he would not be seen till tomorrow. She then handed me Bryce and said the doctor had seen him and said "he is not showing any pain". Wow so I guess I rushed back not even 12 hours later from his original visit to have a nurse who clearly from the start wanted nothing to do with him tell me he is showing no pain. I guess I would be back for no reason after paying $900 the night before CLEARLY HE IS IN PAIN!!! As she handed me him back she walked out of the room as I was still talking asking to speak to the doctor on what I should do. she shut the door mid sentence leaving us with the option to leave him there for the night till someone could see him tomorrow. I understand they may have not have had someone there to do a ultrasound until tomorrow but telling me he is in no pain and to stick him in the back until tomorrow to be looked at is insane. I got Bryce and left and rushed him to VRC Malvern. Where he ended up staying two nights. STAYING TWO NIGHTS!! for Foreign material in his small intestines and large intestines pending surgery. So my dog showing no pain and who was not properly looked at and rushed out ended up staying 2 nights !! In constant care mind you. I hope that nurse sees this and knows how unprofessional she is and how sadden I am to ever be writing a bad review about someone working with animals. I really hope she finds a new profession. With that being said I think the place is great but is still working on finding a caring staff. read more
