Had been taking my dogs for sometime but never happy with the cut Heart and Paw Glen Mills They are not properly training their groomers and it shows. Each cut is a surprise. Never listened to my requests for trimming ears and paw pads High turnover of groomers! Very rude manager! There is no customer appreciation at all. They charge a crazy fee for a no show when I was going to be 20 minutes late when my husband had cataract surgery! They said to reschedule so I did then they told me about a no show fee at my next appointment Very underhanded. Why didn't they tell me on the phone? They then said they didn't want my business since I asked about the no show fee and was willing to pay it irregardless. Oh my This manager has never managed anything or anyone. She needs to be trained as well. They treat their customers so rudely. Never go here The daycare is filled with bored sleeping dogs. Hope they are called out by more unhappy customers. I do not recommend his business in any way for any service. This business needs to be investigated to see if they are up to standards in the industry. read more

Our experience at this clinic was disappointing. Dr. Haiko was dismissive and seemed uninterested in our dog's well-being. My mother brought our dog in because I was at the hospital with my young daughter, a three-time cancer fighter. We FaceTimed during the appointment as my daughter, who is a budding vet-in-training, had a few questions for the doctor. Unfortunately, Dr. Ho's response was shockingly rude - I can't imagine how someone could be so unkind to a young child in the middle of a courageous fight against cancer, especially one so curious and passionate about animals. While Maddie was very kind and attentive (the reason for two stars), however the reception staff were also unfriendly. We were left feeling disappointed and won't be returning to this clinic. read more

(Attn.: Cats). Arriving on time, I was told wait outside. Midday sun in the 90s, holding two large cats in carriers. I pleaded to just stand inside hallway as I sweated and my cats unnerved by barking dogs. About 10 minutes after appointment time, mature black woman ( no one identifies themselves FYI) berates me for "aggressive" berates Cat owners beware: This place is for the dogs. 2020 cat vet service was good .But this year waiting in heat, no information from snarky staff, and among only dogs (most well mannered) convinces me to take my cats elsewhere. The dog owners I know are satisfied with service here BTW. read more

Beautiful facility. Loved the veterinarian and that they get down on the padded floor mat to examine the dogs. Also cool that you can do daycare or grooming there, too. Will be going back next time I'm in the area. Definitely doesn't look like the average animal hospital. read more

I brought my dog into Heart and Paw for an evaluation for Dog Daycare and to potentially use as a vet. The receptionist was friendly, but when she asked what her breed was and I said a pit mix, she was quick to go back to get the evaluator. Then the evaluator lady came out and explained she was going to take my dog into the play room and see how she interacts with a few dogs at a time. Looking through the window, she seemed to be her normal self- high energy and wanted to play with the other dogs instantaneously. Keep in mind, she's attended play groups at several other places which she has never been a problem at. After about 10 minutes the woman came out with my dog and told me that she did not pass the evaluation. She continued to tell me that my dog seemed too aggressive around the other dogs and seemed to make other dogs "uncomfortable" which is definitely not what I saw at all. She then asked me if my dog was a pit mix and if she has ever had interactions anywhere else with other dogs. I said yes and when I told her where, she said "oh to be honest, ___ isn't the greatest place to take your dog". That made me pretty annoyed because it's actually one of the top rated dog places in the area and I'm only not taking her there because it's out of the way from my new job. She then said to me "you can try again in a few weeks with us to see if she's changed". I politely said no thank you and as soon as I walked out the door I was instantly in tears for several reasons: 1) Anyone that has met my dog knows she has a lot of energy, but is very sweet and never aggressive around anyone or any other dogs. 2) The woman had the nerve to bash another dog place that is actually one of the top rated in the area (I only found this through a Google search, not by anyone I know) 3) She also had the nerve to say 'if she changes' when my dog shouldn't have to change who she is. 4) It was not fair at all on how one can be so quick to say my dog isn't a good fit after only 10 minutes, especially when I've taken her to do full day evaluations before and she's gotten great reports. All in all, I did not have a positive experience and would not recommend this place. Just because she is part pit and has high energy does not automatically make her an outcast from other dogs, especially in a play setting. I am going to continue to look elsewhere and know there are definitely better places out there that will love my dog for who she is and not judge her off her breed and energetic temperament. read more

I came across heart and paw when researching different groomers in my area to take my new puppy. I contacted heart and paw and they were great from the start! Answered and got me my appointment in a quick timely manner. They were very friendly and knowledgeable! So sweet with my puppy. I love that they have convenient text messaging to set up appointments. My puppy was very comfortable with them after his first appointment, which made me so happy. Definitely recommend. read more

I set up a new client cat grooming apt via text message. When i arrived i was told that they didnt have me on the schedule and that i was going to be charged a "no show" fee. I confirmed and showed them my text message with the correct date. They apologized but did not offer to still groom my cat or give me a discount for a future apt due to their mistake. I was going to give them a cat grooming every 2 months and now they have completely lost my business and I will let my neighborhood of 50 homes in west chester, pa also know not to go there. read more

I'm pretty sad to write this, but I've been sitting on this a few months. In January 2020, we visited Heart and Paw for the first time under a somewhat stressful situation. I was so impressed by the staff, nurse and veterinarian. It was warm, the person who checked me in was great too. Fast forward to 2021, and upon taking my cat in for a check up, it was a nightmare. I waited a long time for them to come get my cat, the person I spoke to on the phone when I arrived was very short with me. They finally came to get my cat and then the vet called me. And it was not Dr. Goins who we saw, and loved, in 2020. This vet was speaking very fast on the phone, claimed my cat had "flea debris" when she combed him and try to sell me a care plan. When I declined the care plan we finished up the call. She then called me back and asked me to meet her out front, so I hop out of my car and meet her up front. She wheeled a cart out with a laptop to show me, again, the care plan and how much it would save me and she was very, very pushy about it, she was almost in a panic about trying to sell me the care plan-talking fast and just kept going at it. I then declined the care plan again. She finally went over my charges with me, which she sold me flea and tick topical even when I told her I knew it was not possible for my cat to have fleas, plus, I previously worked at an animal hospital and I use a flea comb on my cat. At that point, I was just like lemme get my cat and get out of here. I was told by the vet that my cat would be brought out in a few minutes. I go back to my car. 15 minutes later, the nurse calls me to make sure I don't want to purchase the care plan. We will never go back there ever again. Very frustrating. read more

Great grooming experience; actually know how to hand strip. A little pricey compared to PetSmart but worth it!

Not too impressed with this dog care business. Too pricey & needs better customer service.
