Very much hole in the wall grocery store with not too many fresh items but in the back if you go all the way you will find a great eatery where you basically just pick up items from the window after you tell the server what you want. It's very much cafeteria style and you do have a place to sit but it is bare Bones Here's what we ended up getting Pancit which was yummy. My major gripe with it was that it was served cold. I was honestly so hungry that I didn't care but had it been served hot it would have been smashing Lumpia was piping hot and was delicious. I actually would have preferred that to be a little cooler so it didn't burn my tongue but whatever Mango drink was good Lychee drink was good We did pick up one of the desserts that they had in the fridge that was green and star-shaped and I can't tell you the name of it because they couldn't tell me either and there was no label but it was mildly sweet and actually refreshing to eat. They take credit card. They have parking. They serve with a smile. If you're coming for the ambiance you will be disappointed. But if you're coming for the food then this is for you! read more

Food: When you go inside, towards the back is a layout of prepared foods to go. You get to pick from many different types of Philippino dishes. We tried the following: Dish 1: Chicken potatoes curry, spicy taro curry and chicken stir fry noodles. This was such a good combo. Great flavors and super filling! Dish 2: Fried lechon (pork), spicy taro curry and white rice. Everything on this was great. My fiancé was seeking to find a spot with lechon and he finally got his fix! Service: the staff was super nice! She went over what every dish was for us and helped us pick out some items since it was our first time there. Ambiance: this is set up more like a small store front located in a small plaza with food products from the Philippines or related items. There's no sitting down to eat but more so getting prepared food to go and shopping for ingredients. It's a cute small place located no too far from the busy roads of bald hill road in Warwick. Yes, the Filipino ice'y dessert that's been praised by the likes of Anthony Bourdain and many other food travelers/video bloggers. They make it on demand so you will have to ask for it at the counter. Now as far as the other items in the shop. The other popular dish of the Philippines is SigSig. The sizzling hot plate of deliciousness. You can either buy a frozen box in the one of their many freezers or request them to prepare a catering service for pick up at a later date. Actually this goes for many Filipino dishes you've seen on the YouTube channels. Yes even Balut is sold here. Also within this shop, you can find the secret to any good Filipino Adobo, cane/palm vinegar! They even and have a two pack of vinegar and the classic faux soy sauce. This is a great little shop. I am half Filipino. I recognized many of the products but many are more obscure products and probably only familiar to Native Filipinos. I came for ingredients for the staples (Adobo, Lumpia,Pancit.) all of which they had. I also joined their text message mailing list for ordering their weekly Filipino take out. I wish this was an actual restaurant instead of just the store because sometimes I just want to go somewhere and eat some good fresh Adobo. They do have freezers with some prepared dishes. Next door to a Pizza Hut in a nondescript strip mall with a parking lot full of pot holes in a random part of Warwick is this hole-in-the-wall Asian mini-market which happens to have the largest selection of Filipino specific food items currently available in RI. It has all the Filipino basics including a selection of condiments that exceeds what can be found at every other more general Asian-food markets in RI. The owner told me that Fridays/Saturdays carry out food is usually available and that pastry like ube macapuno ensaymada, hopia and pan de sal from places Red Ribbon Bakery, Goldilocks and others are shipped in from NJ and stored in refrigerated cases. Balikbayan services to and from the Philippines are available. Catering items from a cook from Cebu is available for pre-order. I've previously had to visit at least multiple Asian markets in Providence, Cranston on up to Quincy, MA or down to NYC to find what I need to cook certain things, now I can just come here. Pinoy Lane doesn't have much in the way of fresh fruit and veggies, but pretty much anything else Filipino (even balut!) can be found here or even ordered since the owner makes regular runs to NY/NJ to pick up stuff. I stopped in for lunch in the new Pinoy Lane to go restaurant, the food was delish and fresh, best of all so reasonably priced, a friendly pinay girl behind the counter explained what everything is, and thanked me for coming in. I will return on a regular basis and I recommend this to anyone who is interested in Filipino food. read more
