They have been our advocates in raising three children, the oldest of whom is 17. Dr. Nam has walked us through physical sicknesses, allergies, the rough pre-teen hormonal years and rougher teenage hormonal years, the mental health challenges that accompany those hormonal years, and supported us when my son was diagnosed with ADHD. At every turn, we have been treated with joy and respect--and I say joy because you get the impression the doctors/nurses here are always happy to see us and the children. That is how Dr. Nam has made us feel each time. I cannot recommend these people highly enough. Even after we moved, we continued to stay with WC pediatrics because of the amazing care our children have received.

She gives out her personal phone number, and you can contact her at any time. This is especially important when you have a baby you're worried about in the middle of the night. Her availability has saved us from unnecessary ER visits many times! She also makes house calls for the first few newborn visits, which is such a gift in those early months of parenthood. She's exactly the person you want in your corner as a new mom. Her office is welcoming, kid-focused, and warm. A special touch we love is her well-trained dog who joins visits--this has made vaccines so much easier for our kids! I cannot recommend Dr. Maria enough. They simply don't offer enough spaces when kids are sick like the winter. There clearly seems to be a way around the system to get booked in advance but that hasn't been offered to us. 2) our son had a severe reaction to a bee sting and their response was to schedule an appointment with an allergist for 3 months in advance. When we asked about how do we keep him safe in the meantime we were told to wait until the allergist appointment in 3 months. We asked a friend who is a pediatrician and they wrote us a prescription for an EpiPen on the spot. Why didn't Bayside? If you don't know how to advocate for yourself in the US healthcare system then don't come here. Your kid will get lost in the shuffle and they couldn't care less. I picked this place based on proximity and some decent reviews but I will not be doing that any longer.

If ever my daughter is ill I'm usually able to be seen same day. If I am not see by Dr. Mostaghasi I get to see the NP, Bridget. Bridget is also great. He will answer every question you have and cut through a lot of the conflicting information online. I am genuinely skeptical of the motivation behind some of the bad reviews- although it can be difficult to get an appointment on short notice. I recommend taking those with a grain of salt. I have suggested Dr. Rush to friends with babies and would trust him unconditionally with my child!

Dr. Wagner has been our children's physician for just about 12 years. I now have a 14 yr old son…read moreand an 11 yr old daughter, who are in tip top shape thanks to Dr. Wagner. Our son was born with 3 holes in his heart and 2 in the arteries leading from the heart. Dr. Wagner never shied away from his condition, and not once did he seem like he was at a loss on what to do or when to do it! Dr. Wagner was not our first doctor for our son. But I really wished he had been. Our son's condition required him to have surgery at 2 1/2 months old. Which as you can imagine freaked both my husband and I out. Shortly after our son's surgery, we had to find a new physician for our son, due to a change in our insurance. We were none to happy to be changing doctors at that time. But did so, as was necessary. And in doing this, fond this AMAZING, WONDERFUL, KIND and just over all GOOD PERSON and DOCTOR!!!! Our son is a happy, healthy 14 yr old now. Who has been playing on travel Baseball teams and the like for the past 9 yrs. No keeping this kid down or still! Thanks to Dr. Wagner and his AWESOME support staff, both of whom are never too busy to answer Q's or take our calls. Each of our children are doing great! Our daughter rides horses and is very much like her brother- never stays still for long. Lots of bumps, cuts, scrapes, rashes and burses with these kids! We look forward to seeing Dr. Wagner and staff each and every time. He is just amazing with the kids. He has an fun and goofy sense of humor, that really comes to life with the kids. No shortage of laughter between them. Both of my children just adore him and look forward to seeing him each time. He is hands down THE BEST PEDATRIC DOCTOR in the East Bay.
