However, there is not much shade and the biggest downfall, I would say, is that the restaurant on site is closed, and there is no camp store. There is a beer distributor on the property, but that's it. It would be nice to have a camp store like most campgrounds, and having the restaurant open would be a huge plus since there really isn't anything nearby. The hike to the falls is nice, and they are very pretty. If you like being in the middle of basically nowhere, this is a great little find. We did enjoy our time there, but there are some things that would make it a whole lot better.

It's very quiet there and the people are phenomenal that stay there. He has big plans for this campground and it takes people like you reading this to come support him. Go and stay there and get some much-needed relaxation. It doesn't matter if you're bringing a Hamic Tent RV Couch or the largest 5th Wheel you can think of there's room for you there. We stayed in cabin 1 and it was nice. Remember to bring comfortable bedding. There's a Camp beverage that has adult slushy's and most adult drinks. The campground bathrooms are clean and Showers are nice. There's a downhill hiking trail down to the Falls that are very nice. And if you if you're into Sasquatch, you will love this place. Camp store is growing by the day. They are still looking for a person to run the camp restaurant. Added bonus is There's a genaral Store, a half a mile from the camp ground that's perfect. Will go back for sure

The first impression seemed favorable. It appeared to be a quiet, family oriented campgrounds. As…read moretime went by (we committed to staying 4 months full-time), we had a couple horror/issues with the owners. In addition, speaking with other campers - both seasonal & occasional campers - there were other horror stories from the owners more concerned about their picnic tables rather than notifying campers to evacuate because the creek was going to flood where the campers stood - the campers / RV's were destroyed in the flood (during our stay, the creek did overflow the bank in some places but the owners didn't contact us for any concerns) to giving a discount, which was paid in full at the beginning of the stay and then trying to charge an entire month's fee for an additional 7 days/1 week stay plus overcharging on the electric and saying a canceled check was not proof of payment. We also, on several occasions, had campground employees come up and look at what we had outside (I had the car and my husband was there and caught them in the act). The restrooms were not serviced very well. In the 4 months that we were there the light in the women's shower worked twice so showering in the dark was the norm. Add in the fact that it was normal for debris to be on the floor, showering had to include flip flops and/or a floor mat to safely bathe. On a couple occasions, the campground hosted private parties that had loud booming music that literally vibrated our RV till well after midnight (1 - 2 am). Those times were not a pleasant experience. When campers were loud, there was no consequences for disturbing the peace. The rules they had in writing were ignored and the owners made up rules as it suited them. We will never stay there again. If you're a full-time RVer or even a seasonal camper, I would not recommend this campground and if you do, carefully check your bills as they tend to double charge and their staff/ower's are questionable.

It was like stepping back in time when I walked through the front door. Everything about the original curved staircase handrails, the china teacups, all of the antique furniture, the jaw dropping detail in decor to the mouth watering breakfasts served - ABSOLUTELY PERFECT!!! My room was stunning as well as welcoming and comfortable. The old home is tucked back from the beaten path - so quiet I could hear the leaves falling outside of my opened sashed windows. If you inquire about it, Patty and Randy know the complete history (and gossip!) of the home and Tunkhannock. I could've talked with them for hours. I look forward to visiting them again!

Right along the Susquehanna River, up against acres of corn and bluebird fields. Make sure you check out the PA Dutch barn, from 1855. Prices are wildly reasonable, too. Some folks have trouble finding it using GPS. My advice is to ignore the GPS and just drive southeast across the river, on the main bridge in the center of town (Rt. 29), as if you're going to Scranton. Turn in sharply toward the Comfort Inn on your right or southwest, then drive past the Comfort Inn, along the river, for two miles.

The parking situation was horrendous, the bar was filled with smoke and a lot of very loud white people, but eventually the bartender managed to make her way to me and get the food in my hands. We got the pickle fries, loaded ranch fries, mozzarella sticks, loaded cheesesteak, and deep fried pierogis. All the food was decent, and definitely hit the spot. If I had to dine-in here, ...
