On their rowboat rental $8 a day

Beautiful, serene lake moc-a-tek. This is by far the best campsite I've been to. It is beautiful and well maintained. The lake is beautiful and filled with fish! So easy and fun to fish for your next meal. It's dog friendly! Dogs are required to be kept on a leash though for safety. Campsite offers real espresso and other coffee beverages, in case you can't live without your caffeine. Rowboat rentals are $8 a day and paddle boats are $5 an hour. Bathrooms are modern and clean. There is electricity by your site as well as light if you want. Good for city girls like me.

Happy Days Campground is a great Rustic Campground with tenting campsites as well as full hookups…read morefor RVs and campers at very reasonable rates ... The best thing, Happy Days is only 4 miles from one of the greatest attractions in New York ....Bethel Woods, the 69' Woodstock Concert Field and the historic Woodstock Museum (which is a must see... you'll thank me later). The campgrounds are covered in pine trees, so you awake to great, fresh smelling air. It's very clean. The showers, bathrooms and rec room were immaculate. I drove my RV here, but on the premises, you can rent well restored, classical 3-wheel campers for a minimal fee and spend the night in camping luxury (and instead of my gas guzzling RV, I'll bring my car next time, instead and still save).... Tim, one of the owners, is great. From his story, he had no intention of running a campsite. He was in corporate management. He came to Happy Days as a kid. When the woman who owned the site told him, he'd have to find another place to camp next year ... the wheels went into motion. This campsite is Tim and his brother's baby and the care and the high standards they have also shows in their appreciation of their customers ... and I'm sure that comes from having originally been a customer of the campsite. Make sure you make reservations in advance, especially when Bethel Woods has a concert planned for the weekend. I was going to stay an extra day but I waited too long. Booked for the Bethel Woods concert goers.

I am revising to clarify my original 2 star rating after a question about our experience. We are in a 45 ft 2015 RV towing a vehicle. The gal at check in sent us up to a close area where we never should have been for our size. We then called the desk and they sent people to help us get back out of the area and brought us down to the lake where there was one spot left and was sufficient. Point is that we were lucky not to damage property and someone should have known better at the desk. I will give the park a 5+ star rating for being great for smaller campers, tents, kids, etc. Clean and obviously the owners care about their park. Educate the desk employees. If we had agreed to the spot we were first sent to, the neighbors' fire pit would have been burning under one of our slide outs. Impossible situation. A great spot for families in smaller accommodations or tents.

There is no cross-ventilation, and the tin sidings of this structure absorb the heat, and the room is unbearably warm. Also, the heat from the kitchen adds to the discomfort. The Park provides two large industrial fans, but unfortunately, offer little help, and they are loud. Perhaps some modification can be done to accommodate the season and with that more rental opportunities!

The campground is on three levels, with nice large lots with a fire ring and picnic table. Wifi and cable is included. The wifi connection was pretty fast, especially for a campground. The bathrooms and individual private showers are nice and clean. I did use the laundry, which was very nice, but very pricey! $2.50 to wash and $2.00 to dry. But this is New York, so I wasn't all that surprised. The Pavilion on the upper level was staffed for most of each day, and there were all kinds of activities which the kids adored. At the time we were there, our girls were the only kids in the park, and they got lots of personal attention. They made several crafts, played putt putt golf, and went on a nature hike. Even though it was pretty cool they swam in the heated pool both days (it's kept at about 82 degrees). The playground is very nice for younger kids. We were sorry that we were leaving before the holiday weekend, because there were lots of things going on for families. The staff was also helpful to us, providing us with written directions to nearby grocery stores and pharmacies, as well as directions on how to take the train into the city, which we were also able to do. The price was higher than we usually pay to camp, but the location and amenities made it worth the extra cost. We are already talking about coming back next year! Another thing that was nice about this park was that they gave me the name of a pet sitter who comes to the park, so that we could have care for our dog while we went to the city. I have never seen this at any other campground, and I really appreciated it.

For 2 of us, paid $30 total for one night for a tent site (tent sites are in the strip of land across the road from the main office). The tent site was much better than I thought. 1. only 3 parties there in a very large area reserved for tent only camping, we were very spread out and it was pretty peaceful 2. camp site right next to a beautiful creek! 3. had electric outlets and tap faucet right next to the tent site. We didn't bring anything that could be plugged into an outlet but thinking in the future I could be sitting in a hammock and watching a movie on my laptop while being charged 4. camp site didn't have a fire pit or an obvious hole in the ground where you make your fire safely but we were out climbing very late and too tired to make a fire anyways when we got back. Lots of fallen branches you can collect to make a fire. The other 2 parties had built fires, didn't see how they did it. 5. the shower house closest to the main offices had large showers which were in decent level of cleanliness, paper towels kept running out though so bring your own Overall, very happy with this campground and will definitely come back in the future! A couple of things I noticed (1) the area where RV's are parked looked pretty crowded and also loud (2) I don't think I saw anyone else wearing masks around the campground, even when a lot of people were going in and out of the office. The 2 of us may be the only ones wearing masks there, when going into the office and using the bathroom

Since then there have been a lot of changes under the management of the new owners!!! The new owners have done a terrific job updating and cleaning up the property in just a short 6 months. That's just the beginning of what they have in store for upcoming seasons. It has been so much fun meeting new people who have been so kind and friendly!! We've had numerous gatherings at the main pavilion with live music, food, games and hay rides!!! 4th of July weekend they put on a fireworks display and at Halloween a Trunk or Treat for the kids!!! The owners are nice and accommodating. I called to make a reservation and was able to do so. It was $35.00 a night. The price includes your campsite, fire pit, access to kayaks, showers, and bathroom. To be clear, we picked a site where you can set up a tent and not an RV. But RV sites are also available. Check in was a breeze and was brought to our site once we checked in. Wood is sold on the site. Its a dollar per log. We did see a bear by the garbage and immediately called the owners to let them know. They did come and close the garbage bins and made a lot of noise to lure the bear away. Make sure after you eat you put all food and drinks in your car and leave nothing out once you head to bed. This will attract bears if you leave stuff out over night.
