The campground is wide open with a beautiful view of the lake. The grounds are kept immaculate and it is so quite and peaceful even though it's not very private. The bathrooms are clean and well stocked and the host was around even day checking on things. She was wonderful! We loved our stay and our campsite. Can't wait to be back!

The sites are spacious and clean! Great for us and the dogs. The fire pits were well kept and made a great fire. There were hiking trails everywhere which is great for those who can't sit still. There is also a beautiful beach for swimming. The campground also does canoe and kayak rentals! We rented a kayak for an hour and just floated around the lake for an hour. It was beautiful and a great way to relax. I also loved that you did not need to go to a main house to check in, the paperwork was waiting at the site for us. It was so easy and relaxing. We will definitely be back!

It was nice to sit outside with the leaves falling. This was special to me as I live in Florida and do not have the privileges of seeing falling leaves. Jamie the owner was very pleasant, informative. I tried calling for two days to make reservations, left messages she did return my call. Jamie is running the campground during the week by herself, said she was working outside and apologized for not answering the phone. Don't let this deter you, I am sure you would be very please!! Just another little note very much into recycling. Cans, plastic bags etc. they have big bins for them. KEEP AMERICA CLEAN

However, there is not much shade and the biggest downfall, I would say, is that the restaurant on site is closed, and there is no camp store. There is a beer distributor on the property, but that's it. It would be nice to have a camp store like most campgrounds, and having the restaurant open would be a huge plus since there really isn't anything nearby. The hike to the falls is nice, and they are very pretty. If you like being in the middle of basically nowhere, this is a great little find. We did enjoy our time there, but there are some things that would make it a whole lot better.

It's very quiet there and the people are phenomenal that stay there. He has big plans for this campground and it takes people like you reading this to come support him. Go and stay there and get some much-needed relaxation. It doesn't matter if you're bringing a Hamic Tent RV Couch or the largest 5th Wheel you can think of there's room for you there. We stayed in cabin 1 and it was nice. Remember to bring comfortable bedding. There's a Camp beverage that has adult slushy's and most adult drinks. The campground bathrooms are clean and Showers are nice. There's a downhill hiking trail down to the Falls that are very nice. And if you if you're into Sasquatch, you will love this place. As for the place it self, it was beautifully maintained. We rented a lakeside cabin and the view was amazing especially mid mornings when the sun is high illuminating the lake and the greenery surrounding it. We had our own dock which my nephew had so much fun fishing! His first time lol the cabin was also neatly maintained with all the equipment we need ready and available. Grill and fire pit was nice and clean and over all area was just very well kept. They have a pool area, dog park, kayaks for rent, gold carts for rent and they have a convenience store available if you ever needed any essentials. There's an ice cream booth there too! If you get past the very-close-to-nonexistent wifi and signal, you'll survive here and give yourself a good time!

There are over 20 acres to explore. A catch and release pond, large playground, canoes, laundry, clean restrooms, hiking trails all around, and firewood available for fires. Nice level sites with full hookups. They have a few cabins and the tent campsites are tucked in the trees. Here the tent campers are tossed together off to the side. One of the cabins is is overlooking the pond and very private. The owners are friendly and provided us with a small map to explore the area. Elk were all over as we drove to the Elk Visitor Center. So, one night turned into 3 nights and we have plans to stop here on our way back the first of October. Highly recommend you put Woodland Campground on your list of great campgrounds. UPDATE: just left the campground this morning! Another great 3 nights here. The color around the pond this morning was gorgeous.

Now as an adult I can appreciate it even more! There are plenty of trails to explore by foot or bike. If that's not your speed, you can rent the paddle boats or a canoe to go around Rabbit Island, go fishing, or go for a dip in the lake. It's a nice quiet campground and coming from the city, you can really see the stars out there! If tent camping or RV camping isn't your thing, you can go glamping and rent one of their cabins. They're perfect to enjoy with some family or friends (I've done both on a few occasions). Bonus- you get your own shower, toilet and a fully functional kitchen! But you'll have to book them early as they can go fast! My family has long ties with the Bull family and they are truly amazing people! Definitely book a weekend (or a season) with Camp Arrowhead!

For those that hold family gatherings or other large grope picnics it also has numerous picnic areas that can be rented. We, until recently, lived only a short distance from the Park. Today we went for a ride and came to the Park to relax and decided to have a dish on Ice Cream. I choose Mint Chip and my wife had Black Raspberry. We sat on the porch and enjoyed our food as well as the beauty of the park. If you have not visited Black Moshannon Park you should give if a try. You will enjoy the beauty and tranquility.

Black Moshannon State Park is the place for people like me, and I reckon I'll return if I ever get the chance to meet Phillips Burg and decide to live in his town one day. The campsites, while basic, did the job with ease. I've never had a better s'more in my life in those fire pits. The falling acorns, however, made me have several Sir Isaac Newton moments and even gave my camping tent a concussion. It was nuts, but I slept like a dead dog every night. The 20 miles of hiking trails are excellent, and the bathhouse was suprisingly clean. I'll be back once I figure out what I'm doing with my life. The end.

This year there is an new outdoor gym and an take-out ice cream and coffee shop . Internet works great and the pool and hot tubs are amazing weekends are super busy and its quiet on weekdays.
