I started using Home Instead shortly after my father was discharged from a SNF to my house. We've…read morehad three caregivers so far and we've been mostly satisfied with the service. The very first caregiver wasn't a match after the 2nd day and they quickly replace the person with someone great. Unfortunately, that caregiver moved on to other things (as it can happen) but the replacement has been equally great to work with. Both of the good caregivers were attentive and easy to work with. I decided to go with an agency so we wouldn't have to worry about payroll taxes/insurance/call out's etc. and so far I can recommend this service. You get a discount if you sign up for direct debit for payment. The staff at the branch is very communicative, they call when the caregiver is running late and find a replacement quickly if there is a call out. Important thing to remember, this isn't a medical service so there are certain tasks that their caregivers can't perform, but if you are looking for someone to help out and give you a break from caregiving, try them out!
