We did have a few hiccups after purchase to run to two other stores which proved to be unnecessary. So that was a bit disappointing to have incorrect inventory information. When we went to pick up the bikes in Coon Rapids, the young man gave us the bare minimum pointers about bike usage, we have never owned prior. We ended up having to take a 3rd trip to the Vadnais Heights store and then recieved top notch 5 star help from the associate Mark O'Melia. He REALLY took the time to explain all functions of the bikes and helped us set up the Aventon App. He eas through, knowledgeable and friendly. This is when we really became comfortable and confident in our purchases. He is an EXCELLENT representative of your company and exceeds any service we have had in years. Our only issue was with the 2 additional trips that we feel no one really did much about and I feel as should have been compensated somehow. Note: We also bought a Thule bike rack and several assesories.

The WORST service in my lifetime. If you are a woman- do not shop here…read more 1A. Sold me a bike that was supposed to be $4000 (which I have a receipt for) I put a deposit down, and when I went to pick up the bike, they said ooops it's actually $5000. 1B. The bike they sold me was too big for me, and tried to gaslight me and convince me that it fits. I could not stand over the bike at all. I returned it, and they were mad at me about it. 2. Performed a bike fit for $200. The data is entirely useless. I sent it to 3 bike manufacturers and they said - it's pointless data intended for use of NOW bikes only. 3. When I asked them to order a different bike for me- they said they would- but would not honor any trial/test policy. (The manufacturer allows 30 days) So I couldn't even test ride it, and check it for craftsmanship- so I declined to buy from them. 4. I bought my own bike, and brought it to their store for repair. I stood in their store and explicitly told them in detail everything that needed to be done. The bike manufacturer also sent them an email with this information. Now bikes called me 3 days later telling me that they installed the seat. They only completed 1 of the 4 times and said it was ready for pick up. They didn't finished the work order. They argued about this for 2 weeks saying no one told them. It's unbelievable really how dumb someone can be. 5. When they finally completed the work, I picked up my bike- the repair wasn't done correctly and my bike has sustained damage. There are scratches in the chain stays and the top tube is fractured. As if it was put into a clamp. 6. They told me my bike was never stored by other bikes- but I have a picture of it in their own stored backroom stored by other bikes. Lies. Lies. Lies. 7. I believe they put my top tube in a clamp stand. I asked them to confirm and they argued with me, got really defensive and rude. They said they had proof and refused to provide it. 8. I have requested the work order invoice several times. They won't give it to me, even though they performed work on my personal property. The store now hangs up on me when I call. 9. I left a message for the store owner weeks ago, and he has not called me back to this day.

A gentleman helped us and we made it clear we were new to ebikes. We were shown the entire line of Velotric. The employee seemed knowledgeable but didn't ask us questions to get to match us with the best bike. We were offered a test drive and we just chose two bikes but it wasn't really a helpful process as there was so much information it was hard to decide what e-bike would best meet our needs. We were both looking to buy but have decided to shop around at another competitor or maybe their other location. Even my spouse wasn't able to understand all the information presented to us. We are new to e-bikes and I was really hoping for someone who would have been able to meet us where we were at and guide us more in the selection process.

I rented a Uhaul from Cars Bike Shop and I didn't realize that it was a contactless pickup at the…read moretime of booking so that is my bad! If I had, I would've rented from elsewhere. But I also didn't cancel cause the location was convenient and I figured it would be nice to support this small business! The contactless pickup ended up working ok. It took me a bit to figure it out but I ended up getting what I needed which was a Uhaul truck. I did order additional equipment: furniture pads and dollys. They were not loaded into the truck and there was no indication of how I could retrieve them since they were closed. Again, I got what I needed which was a Uhaul truck but I was basing how much help I needed on having 2 dollies so to not have them was an inconvenience. After returning my truck and noting that the equipment was not present, I received a receipt the next day with a refund for only a portion of the missing additional equipment. I'm glad that they recognized and did not charge me entirely for the missing equipment but there was not indication of why I wasn't given a full refund of that equipment. I reached out to them to simply ask why and I did not receive a response. Overall I would not recommend renting Uhaul equipment from this shop. Not sure how they are as a bike shop but I'm not willing to find out!

The cargo bike shop was less than helpful. My husband took my bike to Chilkoot Cyclery (which doesn't even sell Tern bikes) and they discovered that it was missing an important piece to the drive train and was causing my chain to rub on the frame. The team at Chilkoot went above an beyond helping us solve the mystery. They called Tern and ordered a replacement part, installed it, and gave my bike a tune up for a very reasonable price. Love this shop!

But I came across a bunch of vintage "Ariel" British motorcycle parts at an estate that are going up for sale on Ebay. Unfortunately, 2 of the wheels still had the antique rubber on them. I cut one off myself in my living room. It took me a long time and I just about took my finger off! That really sucked! Time for a professional. I made 4 phone calls, and the only local motorcycle guy that would help me out was Tom. It took Tom, an experienced pro, half an hour to get the tire off! He pried, he sliced, he applied soap, he cussed...and finally he cut the hell out of it with a high speed rotary cutter! Then he went the extra mile and buffed the rust off of two sides so I could show on my Ebay photos that the rust will, indeed, come off. All the while, he engaged me in funny conversation, jokes, and cycle knowledge. Last but not least, all of this set me back a measly 20 bucks!
