We bought two Ebikes from the Coon Rapids location a few weeks ago. The salesperson was Cat, she did a very good job in assisting us with information and answering questions. We did have a few hiccups after purchase to run to two other stores which proved to be unnecessary. So that was a bit disappointing to have incorrect inventory information. When we went to pick up the bikes in Coon Rapids, the young man gave us the bare minimum pointers about bike usage, we have never owned prior. We ended up having to take a 3rd trip to the Vadnais Heights store and then recieved top notch 5 star help from the associate Mark O'Melia. He REALLY took the time to explain all functions of the bikes and helped us set up the Aventon App. He eas through, knowledgeable and friendly. This is when we really became comfortable and confident in our purchases. He is an EXCELLENT representative of your company and exceeds any service we have had in years. Our only issue was with the 2 additional trips that we feel no one really did much about and I feel as should have been compensated somehow. Brian and Tim were absolutely super. They did everything I needed on the bike quickly and for a decent price. Eriks in Coon Rapids is amazing. Today while out biking a blew a tire. I called Eriks and spoke with Brian the bike whisperer. I explained what happened. He said they would wait for me to get there. I got to the shop and they were waiting for me. They had everything ready to get me back on the road. They fixed me up. I ended up putting new tires on the front and back. Since this was my 2nd flat in 2 weeks Brian recommended a repair kit. While he was showing me how to use it, the manager Tim was mounting it on my bike. This is the most amazing shop. After a terrible experience at the Vadnais store, we headed in to Coon Rapids and received the exact service we hoped for in a local specialty bike shop. They listened, answered our questions, let us test ride as long as we wanted, and within an hour we had purchased the 2 e-bikes we had researched online. It was a seamless visit. So I walked in, told em I wanted to to buy a bike. and ya know what happened? fucking my dude trevin, travis, tavern, whatever his name is (i only remember he has brown hair whatevs) hooked it up. And bitch, trust and believe i got something good. its a white street bike size S. shes stunning, beautiful, looking like linda evangelista yet still a bike. (if you get the reference you are smarter than a 5th grader). I couldn't touch the floor with my feet so brian came over and chopped the seat in half cause imma shortie. i use this bike everyday. And no joke, go to brian and ask anything and he'll know. he is a legit bike god my dude. I will say though........ i got a fairly big booty and ever since i started biking, my butt has a bruise because of the seat. idk if i could bike a seat to prevent that, but i dont think its like THAT big of deal. I cant help im blessed but for real i know the bruise is cause the seat, lol its in the shape of a bike seat. lmao. read more

He listened to our concerns and took the time to talk to us about the various options and educated us on proper tire pressure etc. I was following the tire guidelines but the recommendations he made about tire size and pressure made all the difference on my ride. read more

Normally I don't like chains and I have an Erik's in my hometown that I do not like but we were traveling through to a ski competition and needed some equipment fast and knew what we wanted. The gentleman that helped us was fast, understanding and straight to the point. He got us exactly what we needed, it was a great price and we were on our way. Bought a bike there in 2018. Initially pretty good & competent service. Since the pandemic they have sunk to the bottom of the heap. They WILL NOT answer the phone to inquire about repairs unless your bike is already there. They will not do appointments. All you can do is drive there (for me 8 miles) & see how long the line is. One day I stood in line for nearly 1/2 an hour & the guy told me it would be at least 2 weeks for any repair. I left. A week ago I went when they first opened & got my bike in. Today I went to pick it up. Just as I got there a young woman went in. Stood in line for another 1/2 hour - nobody acknowledged I was there - nor did anyone acknowledge the 3 people who came after me. One woman called Dicks after being ignored for 15 minutes & they answered, said they had what she wanted and YES! they can install it today. She left. Good for her. No one in Erik's noticed & I doubt they'd have cared. I am done with them - and DO NOT blame the pandemic. Find a way to care for customers - Dick's does! read more

I've been bringing my bike to Erik's, to have Brian work on it for the past couple years - on HIGH recommendation from a friend! I trust the work that Brian does and wouldn't think of taking my bike anywhere else. The service is great - the newly remodeled shop is beautiful and the work that Brian does is top notch! He takes the time to listen to my concerns, spends time on my bike and always keeps my bike running flawlessly! I ride in Death Valley, CA and ride extensively in MN and I have the ultimate trust that my bike is always in perfect condition, thanks to Brian. If you want pretentious unskilled individuals to insult you and your bike by all means this is the place for you! Doesn't matter if your rig is worth more than anything they have, they're somehow better than you. If you didn't buy it there, for the love of god don't go near these hacks! I've owned dozens of bikes over the years and been to as many different shops, some ok some not ok, but never have I had someone tell me how cheap my bike was, only to have them install a new cassette and route the chain IMPROPERLY?!? How does someone even do that wrong? Sure, they service most of the high end brands which is the only reason I had to go there, but if you take the decals off your bike, they'll just think it's a magna and treat you accordingly. A REAL bike shop will be able to identify pretty much any make or model by appearance alone, I can! Avoid this place like the plague!!! read more
