I was pretty excited for it to open and I've gotten some really beautiful plants from them since then, as well as pots made by local artists! But the most precious item that I've ever gotten from P. Rex was Marv. Marvin is a leopard gecko, and at the Grand Opening a sweet girl named Julia (from Shawn O'Donnell's) gave me her raffle ticket for a reptile. There were five different geckos that could be won in a contest: Terrarium Design. Well, being from Florida, I've always been fascinated with reptiles. But I never knew I would love him so much. I knew I wanted to win Marv so I put all of my effort into my design. The votes were cast and SUCCESS I won Marv! He came home with me in what is now his traveling terrarium and he has upgraded to a beautiful tank. And Who. Knew. I loved terrarium design so much? I even have a terrarium for a chameleon that the PlantoRex Pathos resides. Reptiles with plants are a must, it's better for everyone and the plants thrive with the reptile lights. Forever grateful.
