As a lifelong ford guy, I am very disappointed. I bought a 2014 eco boost and it had known problems with some pieces in the timing chain case that needed to be updated from nylon to aluminum, causing a misfire on one cylinder. That burden amd cost was passed to me the consumer. Then I got the 2018 f-150 5.0 unknowing that the 10 speed transmission has a 140k/160k shelf life which for me was 4 years out of the 6 years it would take me to pay it off. I was told it would be $9000. To upgrade to a 2020 transmission while I still owed 17k on the truck. I feel like anything after the 1990s was rush built and passed on to consumers with flaws. I've had many ford cars and trucks, but now went with a Dodge. read more

This place has lost touch with what it used to be. Easily the worst place you could buy a car from now. Came looking to buy a Toyota rav4 and a chevy colorado. They have a 3 year old, base model rav4 for sale at the same price as a 2025 from a dealer. Literally the same cost. They also have 2 chevy colorados, again, base model. They are 10 and 9 years old, asking retail price. These are used trucks they are trying to sell for what they cost new a decade ago. No wonder they've been sitting on their lot for over a year. Super disappointed with what used to be a good place to buy a used car. Do yourself a favor, go buy new or from a dealer selling their own brand of used. Atleast that way you get a decent warranty and a much better price. This place is a joke now. read more

I'm on a pretty tight budget so my options were limited everywhere I had looked online. Keith welcomed me into the office and I let him know what I was looking for. He took me around to look at all the options that met my needs. I chose one that I decided would work for me and we went inside to run the numbers. There was no haggling, no pressure to add on a warranty, no other sales people to put the pressure on, just Keith explaining everything and telling me my options. The car buying experience here is very relaxed and no pressure, which is always appreciated. They have a no haggle price with fair prices. For example, the vehicle we purchased was sold at auction last month to them for just over $16,000. They sold it for just over $20,000. I can see Pros and cons in the whole "no haggle" ethos. If the prices are fair, then it's an alright setup. If not, then it's just a convenient way for the dealer not to... well, deal. These guys seem fair in their pricing so it works for them and makes everything flow smooth and quick. We were in and out in about 2.5 hours including test drive. They gave us a very fair price on our trade in - very close to blue book, and our trade in was definitely not in great condition. I had to drive about an hour and a half, so I asked if they would hold the truck for us until we could get there the next day and they obliged. David was our sales manager, he was very helpful and matter of fact on everything. You get the impression when dealing with these folks everything is just face value and out in the open, in a sincere way. I appreciate that. There were some pieces and parts that were missing and they are mailing them to me, and another part was discovered broken on my way home, and they are replacing that also, so that is greatly appreciated as well. I had previously given these guys a lower review due to not hearing back from them for a few days on some questions I had. Turns out their text system is a bit wonky and the voice mail I left for David - I apparently just missed him before he was off work for a couple days. They reached out and answered my questions and took care of the extra broken piece. So all is well there. David mentioned "you must have had some bad car buying experiences" due to my lack of patience. Well let's just say, I've had a dealer cash a promised to hold it until Monday check, which bounced because they didn't hold it as they promised. This gave us fees and some other trouble (back in the days before overdraft protection). In retaliation we demanded they pay those fees before we gave them a new check. They refused. So they sued us in court. The judge verbally shouted down those folks (Norm Reeves in Temecula California in case you want to avoid them!) and said they should be ashamed of themselves. Seeing that was worth the trouble, she was angrier than Judge Judy. But I digress. Pioneer Motors is for sure one of the best car buying experiences and I'd recommend anyone in the area to choose them. read more

I was amazed at the variety of makes and models they had on the lot. We were looking for an AWD vehicle for better handling in the snow - they must have had twenty or more cars that met this criteria. Not too shabby for Grass Valley. I was interested in a car but have taken a credit hit due to investments in my business. Dave ran my credit, and as soon as it became difficult for him to find financing he would not reply to any of my inquiries. That's pretty low, considering I wanted some communication about it and to discuss other options since it dinged my credit. Very irresponsible and unprofessional. I would have gladly put a large deposit down, had a co-signer, or ultimately have paid cash for the vehicle. I wanted to finance it to help my credit, but it wasn't my only option. You should always go above and beyond for you customer and find a solution. Dave did not. Unless you want a ding on your credit and ignored emails, I'd suggest steering clear. read more
