The other beer we tasted is the Love is an alien IPA. This is smooth with a good hoppy kick. The shortthorn blonde ale was another one we wanted but sadly, sold out. The menu had plenty of IPAs to taste so they specialize in hoppy beers. I heard the pizza here is fantastic so that'll be something to try for next time along with other beers. Overall, there's good vibes here with a diverse demographic of people who enjoy beer, pizza, and hanging out. I can get down with that.

There was also a person handing out free taster frozen whiskey shooters. Pretty kid friendly. I brought my 2 and 4 year old to meet up with another family from out of town with young kids. A little loud during the World Cup, but seating was plentiful on a Thursday night and they had a few kid friendly food options (grilled cheese, pizza, quesadillas, chicken nuggets and fries). Parking was easy as there's a covered parking garage attached to the hotel and I think I only paid $1 for 2 hours of parking. We were lead to a large half moon shaped booth nestled in the corner; which was large and plush. Plenty of room for us four and honestly at least two more people. She asked if we had questions and gave us some highlights of the menu. We ordered another round along with Meatballs Troubadour, the Heavenly Sourdough and Spicy Tuna Crispy Rice. For entrees, Dry-Aged Delmonico, Pomme Puree, Crispy Brussels, Honey Truffle Chicken and Whole Lobster Spaghetti. All the food was divine! To wrap it all up we of course ordered the 24 layer strawberry cake. The cake was bought out with a candle and 4 glasses of bubbly which was a very nice treat. Fantastic Family Fun -- and Beware of the Claw Machines!…read more For our grandson's 9th birthday, we decided to venture to Cidercade Fort Worth, and what a fantastic choice! Admission was $12 per person, and nearly all the arcade games are included with admission. Play as much as you want! We easily spent 3-4 hours here, and everyone had a great time. With the Texas temperatures blazing outside, an air-conditioned arcade was also a pretty darn good place to spend the afternoon! There is a huge selection of games with plenty for both kids and adults. Basketball, racing, classic arcade games--you can wander around for hours. Then my son-in-law discovered the claw machines. Once he started, it snowballed into stuffed toy after stuffed toy. By the time he was finished, we had enough stuffed animals spread across the table to open our own toy store! Be warned, though: the claw machines are NOT included with admission and you pay separately to play. Apparently nobody bothered explaining that to my son-in-law before he went into full claw-machine domination mode! We also ordered pizza, and it was very good. It's a thin-crust style, loaded with toppings and made for a perfect break between games. Of course, with a name like Cidercade, we had to sample the cider! There were plenty of choices, and the ones we tried were very good. For $12 admission and several hours of entertainment, I think Cidercade is an outstanding value. More importantly, our grandson had a fantastic birthday outing and the entire family enjoyed themselves. Great games, good pizza, plenty of cider and a table full of stuffed animals we somehow had to get home. That's a successful birthday! Definitely a 5-star experience for us!

The atmosphere is unique, and the combination of old school arcade games with a mix of newer games makes it easy to lose a couple of hours here. There is a really good variety, so whether you are into classic arcade nostalgia or something newer, there is plenty to keep you entertained. The food was another pleasant surprise. Everything we tried was really tasty, and considering the affordable pricing overall, it makes for a pretty budget friendly outing. The Fort Worth location is also convenient, which makes it an easy spot to add to a day or evening out. My biggest complaint is that it can get pretty crowded, especially during busier times, which takes away from the experience a little when you are trying to play some of the more popular games. Also, if you are visiting during the Texas summer, be prepared for it to get hot inside. With all the people, games, and activity, the temperature can definitely become noticeable. Overall, though, I would absolutely come back. Great atmosphere, tons of games, good food, and an affordable price point make this a solid Fort Worth outing.
