We had a wonderful Friday night dinner at Drake's Hollywood in Dallas! The table enjoyed a great variety of dishes, including the Brussels sprouts, cauliflower, salmon, Hawaiian ribeye, filet mignon, Wagyu burger, and spicy rigatoni. Everything was delicious and made for a great dining experience. My friend also gave the Old Fashioneds a big thumbs-up! Overall, Drake's is a cool spot for a Friday night dinner with great food, drinks, and atmosphere.

Overall, great restaurant. The ambiance reminds me of Monkey Bar in NYC, and the service was great. I tried many dishes, and they were all pretty good. I liked their chicken parm, which was basically like the parm at Hudson House but a little better. Will definitely be back.

Drake's was a great spot! The restaurant was clean, the ambiance was nice, and the customer service was excellent. I ordered the Pasta ZaZa with Italian sausage added, which was delicious. The French martini was decent. Overall, it's definitely a nice place for a special occasion or date night, and I'd come back again.

Had such a nice experience at Drakes to celebrate my birthday! Everyone we interacted with was so delightful and they helped make it super special with prosecco. We loved everything we got but the Vin Scully Fries and the lobster Mac and cheese were definite stand outs. They have matchbooks if you're a collector!

It says a lot about how a business is ran in how they respond to a mistake. Drake's did phenomenal in this regard. Went for a special night, reservations and everything, even arrived 10minutes earlier. We were not greeted by a server for 20-30 minutes PAST our reservation time, and to add on to that no water. We are typically pretty patient individuals, but eventually we flagged a waiter down, and from there the night flipped. I believe the server's name was Michael, great fellow and attentive. The FOH manager, Chris was phenomenal. Mistakes are inevitable in the restaurant industry so we understand. It is what is done after the fact that is a tell. They were great. Food was great and came out faster (On the fly). Now to the food and drink The cocktail martinis are great, cant go wrong with any. (We had the French 76 and Bleu&Gold) The Vin Scully Fries are great for the table Ribeye was great, cooked at correct temp. The Spicy Rigatoni (Zaza) was the favorite. The added sides were great complements but nothing stood out for us. Great FLUFFY cheesecake, I am not a fan of thick cheesecake, and this one was just right for the texture. We'll be back Valet parking Complimentary Limited street parking on a busy road Great interior, comfy seating

Upscale steakhouse with a variety of tasty dishes and cocktails! I stopped by Drake's for an early dinner/happy hour with friends and enjoyed my experience! The atmosphere gives Old Hollywood in the best way. Service was friendly and attentive! I got the Mexican cocktail to drink, which was wonderful. I loved the tartness of the limoncello foam! We ordered the Cauliflower Dynamite, Onion Rings, Spicy Caesar, and Pasta ZaZa. Everything was delicious, tasty, but a bit on the heavy and rich side! My personal favorites were the cauliflower and pasta. Both were perfectly saucy with a hint of spice! Would definitely come back!

Greek Salad, Crab cake, Pasta Zaza, Hot papis pizza Gosh I forgot how great this place is!! Everything they have is so good and with their own unique spin on things. The Greek salad was beyond amazing--to the point that I ordered it again to go a few days later. The hot papis pizza and pasta Zaza are some of my favorite things too! And the inside is so vibey and im obsessed with the old hollywood feel

Very nice restaurant with low lighting. Came in for happy hour alone but this is would definitely be perfect for a date night or celebration meal. Happy hour offerings are slim with only a couple drink and appetizer specials. The sully fries which are basically just loaded fries are amazing and a must have. The bartender did a good job on the two drinks I had. They definitely were very strong. I look forward to returning for a special occasion so I can try more of the menu.

went to drake's for a saturday night dinner with a big group of friends! the food was absolutely amazing but it took us over 20 minutes to get seated even though we had a reservation :( food did take awhile to come out but it was extremely busy. the best items were by far the pasta zaza, crab cake, and lobster mac n cheese!!! the chicken parm was HUGE i definitely recommend only getting 1 order it's enough to feed a village!

Went to Drakes for a birthday dinner for the first time. Definitely enjoy it. The server was very attentive and recommended us some great options in the menu. We stared with some Dynamite Cauliflower and Curly Fries and they were very good. For entrees we ended up ordering pizza, chicken parmigiana, honey chicken. The food was all great. The places had a live performer playing classic music. This time I was not able to try their cocktails but definitely will next time around.

    Cheers!

My husband and i celebrated our anniversary here and we had us a nice time. The vibe was very Good Fellas. It was so nice with a Hollywood movie scene feel. They had good music rotating with a live singer which we enjoyed. Everyone was dressed very nice. It's dress code enforced which I love. It's rare these days to go somewhere where people are actually wearing nice clothes to dinner. Very cool! We started off with the Vin Scully Fries, we did not expect it to be such a loaded plate. I think that appetizer is more for a table of four. They were really good. We ordered the JD's classic pepperoni pizza for the entree. The pizza is delicious! Every single piece was devoured. We had a few glasses of the Peju Legacy, so good!! Very smooth and delicious. Love the dark Hollywood vibe, we definitely will be back!

I had been wanting to try Drake's for a long time, and it definitely lived up to the hype when it comes to atmosphere and service. I absolutely loved the old Hollywood vibes of the restaurant, and the staff could not have been more attentive. The look, feel, and service were all amazing. Their dirty martini was one of the best I've ever had, perfectly dirty with ice chips, which I loved. We started with the spicy tuna crispy rice, crab claws, and the Caesar salad. I would pass on the salad, but I highly recommend both the spicy tuna crispy rice and the crab claws, great flavor on both. We also tried the lobster mac and cheese, which was phenomenal, while the creamed spinach was just okay. For pizza, we tried Ozzy's and the Hot Papi. Ozzy's was just okay, and while I preferred the Hot Papi, there are plenty of places in Dallas I'd choose for pizza over Drake's. Both were good, but I've had better. We also tried the branzino and the Parmesan snapper, which were pretty good. The steaks were good as well, though nothing to rave about and slightly overcooked. My absolute favorite dish of the night was the spicy rigatoni, and the hack is to add the honey truffle chicken on top. It's a little pricey for chicken, but absolutely worth it. The flavor combo of the crispy chicken with the Calabrian chili sauce was incredible. For dessert, we went with the silk pie and the cheesecake, both great choices. I've heard the strawberry cake can be dry, so I'd skip that. Overall, it was a great experience and the food was good. While I'm not sure everything is worth the price, if I had to recommend anything, it would definitely be the spicy tuna crispy rice and the spicy rigatoni with crispy chicken on top.

    1. They were supposed to have a card for my guest at dinner and didn't. 2. Didn't take our coats and small booth was site tight, they finally offered. 3. Steak knives and utensils and plates not given to us when food came out. 4. Steak was not cooked how we ordered it but they never came back to check.

Their website says they offer HH Monday-Friday from 4-6p...so what are the HH features and prices?

    $12 house Martini $12 Crispy rice $12 Meatballs…

Hello. Are yall looking for any bands for live performances? Www.buffalosons.com?

I'm turning 22 this Thursday and I want to celebrate it here I just moved here so idk the atmosphere of this place is the food good is it kid and family friendly?

They have pizza however, I wouldn't say it is the most kid friendly restaurant. The food is good. Great place for adults

What night is the quietest? I have 2 family members with hearing aids that sometimes have difficult times hearing in a loud atmosphere.

It is a settle atmosphere at night. The music is nice and low, I didn't have to raise my voice at all. I think they should be good with their hearing aids.

When does the bar usually fill up? Will a group of 4-6 people have a hard time getting a drink together at 6pm on a Saturday?

    Impossible with that many

What's the secret to getting a reservation here on the weekend? I have been trying to get reservations in November for a month now and have zero luck.

There honestly isn't a secret lol...the only reservation that I was able to get was a month out. I stalked the site and got lucky. It may be a late night reservation, but hey...you get in and eat good

    What the dress code?

    Dressy/business casual

Are kids welcome? I'm looking to go early right when they open.

You can take them but it's more of a date type of atmosphere

Is it reservations only? If so please give me other affordable but nice dinner spots in Dallas?

No it's not but it's desirable. As it's usually busy. I've only been able to eat once at the bar when I walked in. That was luck !

What night is the best to have dinner with live music?

Fri and sat after 10 and Sunday after 6pm

Do people dance with the DJ or is there not an actual dance floor?

It's not an actual dance floor but it's a little room in front of the stage to dance.

    Is it kid friendly?

Drakes is amazing but wouldn't be a place I bring children.

Is there live music on a Sunday night?

    Yes ! Jazz, piano etc

Has anyone been on Friday or Saturday night when they have a DJ set? Wondering if it's loud or just the right volume. I would hate to have loud music ruin a nice dinner with friends where we want to sit and catch up.

We went on a Friday night and there was no DJ but the music was so loud that you had to almost yell to talk at table. Our Children ages 28-35 said the music was a loud as a night club And they certainly did not expect that for a fine restaurant. I…

Do they have live music at nights? Piano player or such?

Jazz band. I know at least on Thursdays

The hotel property is like four legs under the table - a great location, a great hotel experience, a great restaurant experience, and a entertainment experience (The Mansion Bar). At least one leg has been kicked out, one is suffering. The Mansion Bar used to have a great recipe for success - proven by how busy and regular the customers were and loyal (or was), and the top tier talent that was routine for 10+ years. Me and my friends have a relationship with the long time staff as customers as well as the excellent music talent. The cause? Not precisely sure but I think it's new ownership, at the very least a new Food & Bev manager. I also know the staff is very upset about these changes and the relationships with the repeat music talent is now a mess. I wouldn't be surprise if the staff start leaving. I'm hoping whomever is making these decisions can revert back to what was working. Dallas has a lot of great venues that will fill this void.

Adult oriented review…read more... Having been an open and active swinger every minute of my adult life, I check out as many swingers "lifestyle" clubs as I possibly can. I love seeing how different clubs in different cities set themselves up. Plus, any excuse to meet new people and play with them is a good reason. My wife had some business things to handle via zoom in the hotel room so I went over to this club myself. I had just visited the one in New Orleans a few days earlier and was excited to check this one out. Of course, there is always the waivers, fees and check in stuff when new at any club. As a single female for the night, they definitely streamlined the process. Single, attractive women that swing are treated like royalty at swing clubs. This club was no different. Once was inside, having forgotten to bring anything to drink, as this club was byob, I found myself alcohol deficient. I had to barter for drinks and had fun making trades. If you get my meaning. I found this club fun, clean and had plenty of attractive, fun and play minded men and women. The staff were all pleasant and I saw nobody pushing nor violating the rules. There was a good mix of ages from mid twenties to people in their sixties. Nobody pressured me nor made me feel uncomfortable in any way. I found four like minded women and really enjoyed their company. I only stayed for about three hours but I really enjoyed it. If I lived in the Dallas area, I'd certainly be a member and spend my Saturday nights there. If swinging is your thing or you just like to watch and enjoy the vibe, this club is for you.

We loved it and I gave it 5 stars and so looked forward to returning. This time, however, the experience was a bit of a disappointment. My ratings for this experience in July 2026: Service: 5/5 Ambience: 4/5 Food: 3/5, which is generous. I could easily go 2 stars. Let me start with the positives. Our server, Madeline, was excellent. She was personable and efficient. She missed on her recommendation but I think that was more the kitchen than her. She was there when we needed her without being overbearing. She labeled our take home boxes so we knew what was inside. Nice touch. The ambience is upscale without being pretentious. There was one a group across the restaurant that was so loud that my wife and I had some difficulty conversing, but I understand that is not something the restaurant can control. The restaurant was nearly full on a Friday when we entered about 7pm and when we left there was a long line of people waiting for a table, so I guess the restaurant is doing something right. What the restaurant can control is the food, and it was not up to par. We started with a chopped romaine salad, which is basically a Caesar. It had too many spoiled (wilted or brown) pieces of lettuce and was way overdressed. Quality control needs to improve. The kid wanted pasta as usual but their offering was with pesto and that was a no-go so Madeline had the kitchen do an off menu pasta with red sauce. I appreciate the gesture. The sauce was not acidic but the pasta was al dente and the kid was not used to that, so she did not really like it. Not the restaurant's fault on that one. The wife had the daily special, short rib stroganoff, and said it had no flavor. I did not try it but I assume the meat was not seasoned. I had the chicken parm with spaghetti from the "classics" portion of the menu. I was not impressed. I expected the spaghetti to be on the side but it was on top. The chicken had a strong burned flavor so I wondered if the spaghetti was on top to cover the burn? My pasta was al dente which was fine with me but overall the dish lacked flavor except for a burnt taste. I would not order it again. Overall, all our dishes missed the mark in one way or another. No one enjoyed their food. Maybe we ordered incorrectly, although you would think that ordering the daily special and a "classic" would be safe. Maybe the kitchen had an off night when it was so busy. The demand for a table was at variance with the quality of the food, which was average at best. At least the drinks were good.
