This place is packed on a Saturday night! There were plenty of employees but new folks seemed to come in big waves to the front and back bar so the line was never short after 8pm. I drank the Crackberry (vet tart, nice flavor) and lavender and pomegranate (odd threeway flavor but loved it) ciders and enjoyed them both. Before 9pm minor lockout time, it was incredibly loud and every possible machine was being camped at but it was slightly less crowded during adult time. We came out to Cidercade in Ft Worth since I've mainly gone to the one in Arlington. This location has a ski-ball option as part of its open play. There are some pay as you go claw machines. My one complaint is that one of my kids favorite games ... a ninja turtle game ... is in a pay as you go. At all 3 other locations we've been too it's included in open play. Which disappointed our younger kid. We finally tried food here due to us having a coupon in the app. Which I recommend joining their rewards. We came here to cap off a day of bonding before the first day of work. I've been to the one in Houston. This was my first time at the Fort Worth location. There truly is something for everyone. $12 is all you need. You get unlimited games all day. There is much variety. There's plenty of co-op games. There's also plenty of solo games. For me, I'm a big fan of pin-ball and they did not disappoint in that department. There were about five rows with about 6 machines each. No high score though for me so I think there may be something faulty with the machines that day. There's also a good selection of food. Work was paying so I went ahead and got the truffle pizza. It's like a fancy mushroom sausage pizza with truffle cream to top it off. It tasted great. Strong savory and not overwhelming at all. I tried a bit of the pepperoni and that was good as well. This place is so much fun. Entry is $12 for unlimited games all day. The cider is amazing. We tried just about every flavor and there wasn't a single one we didn't like. Ciders are around $6-9 & are worth it. Downside is all the best games (Mario Kart, Ski Ball, Basketball, Guitar Hero, Pool) were packed. They had a really long line for each of them. There weren't enough machines open for everyone & there were so many kids running around. If you're going as a couple, definitely come after 9pm because it's 18+ after 9. There are a ton of 2 player games to play so this place is perfect for a date night. Parking is not good. There is a small parking lot next to the building but it fills up fast. Really fun place to spend an hour or few hours. It's a cool concept that I never experienced when I lived in California, but you go in and pay an entrance fee (at the time of posting this it's $12/person) and you can play all the arcade games inside, unlimited. No need to get any tokens and no change machines. This is why you can spend hours here. They have a variety of different games from different eras. They even have pinball machines and pool tables. Husband and I liked going after 9pm because it's 18+. At one point, we had a membership, which was $20/person/month. I don't know if they still offer the membership. When we had the membership, we were going here at least once a week so it was an awesome deal. We got food here once because I was starving. I ordered the truffle pizza. They cook it made to order in their stone hearth pizza oven. It was delicious. I'm such a sucker for truffle, especially on pizza. The ciders are also very delicious. It turned out to be a pretty interesting spot with a huge selection of arcade and video games, ranging from super vintage classics to modern favorites. On top of that, they also have pool, shuffleboard, and a 20x20 dance floor-style game, which added to the variety of entertainment. It's a cool concept, and they offer food and drinks, with options for both kids and adults, including a solid selection of ciders and other beverages. Kind of self serve, which was expected, but the people behind the bar and food areas were friendly so that's cool. I think this would be a great place to bring a group of kids to burn off some energy while the adults enjoy a cold drink. However, for a group of just adults, I'd probably opt for a bar instead. So ended up at this place to hang out with some friends on a Saturday at 5pm , my first suggestion is don't go until 8pm when it's 21 and up cause when it's full of kids it's super annoying lol. We decided to do a company outing, and Cidercade won the most votes. Upon arrival, they have a parking lot in the front that was full since it was around 5:00pmish on a Friday. I didn't feel like street parking since you do tread into the residential area if it gets super packed. Luckily, I found some parking in the back of the building next to Splinters Axes & Ales. This place surely exceeded my expectation. Think arcade, food, and cider! The foodie in me would talk about the grub first. Their 10" thin-crust pizzas were delicious. I love how they have the flexibility of substituting the crust to either gluten-free or cauliflower for an extra free. The margherita pizza was light, flavorful, and yummy. The meat lover's pizza was on the drier side, but just as good. One of my coworkers was not a fan of pizza in general, so she opted for the cinnamon roll pizza that was a little too sweet for her palate. They also offer salads if you are avoiding carb overload. As for drinks, I had the unlimited soda, but in reality could only finish one cup of soda. Let's talk about the games. I had loads of fun playing Pac-Man and basketball arcade. Be prepared for pinball machines, pool tables, etc. The machines may look like you need tokens or coins, but the games are unlimited with the admission fee. The location was bigger than expected, and my gf and I had a great time. Unfortunately we came to this location to compete against each other in our fierce pac man rivalry, however, most of their Pac-Man machines were too fast, or unlike the original and were slightly disappointing, other than that the location was very enjoyable and had three or four rooms to choose from a different old-school arcade, games and old-school shooting games or music, games, and basketball, my only other slightly negative detail is the fact that if you want to get a fountain drink or any drink it's six or eight dollars, and there was a fourth room that had air hockey tables and other fun games and claw machines, and you couldn't play those with just the $12, you had to get a game card and do sort of a Dave & Buster's-type of exchange, on top of the $12 already. Now this is an arcade! When I first heard of Cidercade I was cautiously optimistic that a place would finally get the bar-arcade concept right and I think they did here. For those that have fond memories of the arcades of their youth, all the classics are here: Mortal Kombat, Street Fighter 2, Double Dragon, Rampage, Pac-Man, Galaga, and more. There are plenty of shooter and racing games as well, both old and new. They have pinball, pool tables, and air hockey as well. Most importantly, there are places to actually set your drink between each arcade game unit, an area where other bar-cade concepts have failed. I really do like their concept here as well - 12 dollars for all you can play. Gone are the days of continuously plugging in quarters or tokens, so you're at liberty to try all the games you want. Cidercade Fort Worth is set in an old warehouse off 8th - nice to see these old buildings get second life and it makes for a good fit here, as this place is massive. You'll walk through two smaller rooms from the front entrance, still filled with games, before you get to the main area that has the bar, pizza ovens, and patio access. The pizzas too, are actually quite good. They churn these things out in 10-15 minutes and I think that is by design. Won't win any awards, but solid thin crust pizza and I found the special Chicken Parm to be to my liking. I don't drink cider much, but they do have plenty of choices to keep things fresh for you there as well. I had been hesitant to come to the place because I'm not a fan of ciders. My friend was having her son's birthday party here, so we had the opportunity to try it out. Since this is an all you can play arcade, there is a cover charge for everyone, I believe it was around $12. They give you different wrist bands depending on your age. The inside is much, much larger than it looks on the outside. There are games to suit everyone's interests. They also have ski ball, air hockey (the table is awful though), shuffle board, and basketball. There is a small outside area with some tables and the chairs are actually swings. Really cute! There are 2 bars, one when you first come in, and one in the back room. There is also a kitchen in the back room. Y'all!!! This place was fun! Hubs and I took our son who is 6 on a Saturday around 12. Not too busy when we arrived and we were able to check the place out. It's huge. All the games you want are there. Once it got later as we stayed 4 hours it was busier and some games had a line waiting - Mario kart, Halo but that's because those are favorites. I don't really drink cider so had to ask for suggestions. The ranch water was pretty good and the strawberry one was as well. Been to most of the AYC Play arcades in DFW and I would say this is the best when you combine the overall experience. There are arcades with more games and a better location but top to bottom, this place is tough to beat. Starting with the games, this place is absolutely HUGE with a wide selection of games. Surprised to see how many sections there were and the overall variety. Now just like Cidercade Dallas, the more popular games can have a wait but it's great that that there are so many options. Got some pizzas and soda. The food was a little overpriced but overall it was good and the convenience was great. Love that there are 2 large bars (both front and back). Yeah, the parking is pretty limited and the neighborhood is a little sketch but overall this place is amazing! read more
