It's located on the shopping center's second floor, very quietely and discrete. As you walk in, there's only a very small countertop with samples... Try them, but me cautious, because ad you try them, you will want them! My MUST try is the Pavlova cake! And as a second choice I would recomend the Passion Fruit Mousse. Best service and responsiveness in all of Miami! My honey was down there for business on his birthday and was feeling a little bit down about being alone on his special day. I spent two days calling around looking for a cake to be delivered to his hotel in South Beach, on a Saturday. Most of the cake places who offer direct delivery either had poor reviews, scary notes about excessive delivery fees and missed delivery times, weren't open on Saturday, or wanted more than 24 hours notice. I called at least a dozen shops who were either rude, disinterested or unhelpful. When I first called Piononos, it went to voicemail, so I thought they may not be open and moved on. Within 10 minutes, they called me back from their caller ID and said "I think we missed your call, how can I help you?" I was blown away! Most places won't even return a voicemail for at least a day or two. I proceeded to explain how desperate I was to get a cake delivered, and they were more than helpful in making suggestions based on my honey's tastes, telling me how the courier service operates, getting the details for a card, and having it ready to go quickly. The courier was able to pick it up and deliver it in one hour. Made my honey's day! He also said the dessert, their famous strawberry pavlova, was gorgeous and delicious! ***The courier, Go Get It, was fantastic too! Hands down the best cake (pavlova) that I have ever had. Certainly the best in Miami. Managed with engineering precision one can see the hand of Pionono's owner (Maria Luisa) in everything this delicious bakery has to offer. From the presentation of the boxes delicately closed with red ribbon to the impeccable location where you could lick the floor (it's that clean). A bit hard to get to, they are located in the second floor in the back of one of the little malls right off Brandon boulevard in the key Biscayne island. There is ample free parking in front, just park and walk up the stair in the southwest corner on to the second level. You'll find Pionono's five stores down the hallway. We love this place!! We drive from the Ft. Lauderdale area every year for my birthday just to enjoy some of this yummy goodness! The staff is friendly, and the desserts are so fresh and delicious. The strawberry, mango, or berry pavlova with dulce or Nutella is a must have. The flourless chocolate cake/mousse, apricot cheesecake, and Nutella alfajor is also very good! I've seen this place on Instagram and I was in Miami Beach so I decided to try them out . Almost was a bad experience because they give out little samples and when I arrived the front desk lady abruptly put a lid on the sample tray . I was almost insulted but she just waited until she tended to the person in front of me and then asked me if I wanted a sample ...well I tried one and my kids too they adored the brownie samples . Sad to say the strawberry Pavlova is no longer my favorite after giving it two last tries before making up my mind. I don't know if they've changed their recipe or are rushing the cakes with the orders but in both instances I've had an overwhelming amount of dulce de leche layer extremely thick that makes the cake un enjoyable. The first time I tried this cake the dulce de leche, the meringue and the crust were all the same and it was perfect each layer but now my family and I can't even enjoy the cake without cornering the dulce de leche with our spoons in our plates :( read more

They called me in the morning to let me know the pavlova was ready at 11:20 AM. I called back at 2 PM no answer. I called eight times before they finally answered the phone at 2:30 PM. I told them was on my way to pick up. I arrived at 3:15, I had to make a 20 minute line. I finally get to register just to find out my Pavlova was not ready. They said they made a mistake; the mistake was they gave my Pavlova to someone else.I had to wait an additional 15 minutes for my Pavlova. No apologies, no discount, not even a free water.
